Ritual bath
(Ablution; Ghusul: Ritual ablution; Wash) A ritual bath ( arb. Ghusul.
Islamic Law) is customarily performed on a festival day, or before the Friday
congregational prayers, before starting a pilgrimage, after recovering from an
illness, or is necessitated by the emission of sperms either during one’s sleep or
following a marital intercourse. A ritual ablution is also given to a deceased
person before his funeral and burial, or otherwise is taken by the undertaker
himself after washing the dead. To take a ritual ablution in a dream before the
Friday congregational prayers means purifying oneself, washing oneself from
sin, repenting from sin, serving one’s parents, or being true to one’s friends.
Taking a ritual ablution for any of the above reason during the wintertime and
using cold water in the dream means distress, trouble or a sickness. If hot water
is used, then it means profits, benefits and recovering from sickness. Taking a
ritual ablution in a dream before attending a festival means getting married.
Taking a ritual ablution after seeing either a solar or a lunar eclipses in a dream
means an adversity, and the same applies if one takes a ritual ablution in a
dream before the prayers of asking for rain. To take a ritual ablution after
washing a deceased person in a dream means abandoning one’s association with
heedless people. If the person who performs such an ablution is mentally
deranged, it means that he will wake-up cured from his condition. Taking a
ritual ablution prior to joining the sacred pilgrimage in a dream means
happiness, success, victory over one’s enemy, paying one’s debts, or reuniting
with one’s beloveds. Taking a ritual ablution before circumambulating the
sacred House in Mecca in a dream means working for one’s livelihood, serving
rich people, or caring for one’s wife and parents. If a sick person sees himself
taking a ritual ablution then putting on a new garment in a dream, it means that
he will soon recover from his illness. Taking a ritual ablution in a dream also
could mean the release of a prisoner, payment of one's debts, dispelling one’s
distress, or it could mean richness, prosperity, attending the sacred pilgrimage

lighten his burdens, or recover his good health. Walking into a pond, or
descending a well, or stepping into a bathtub to take a bath in a dream means
marriage. Washing oneself with soap during such an ablution means dispensing
of one’s debts, or dispelling one’s stress. Washing one’s garment after taking a
Ghusul in a dream means correcting one’s conduct, pursuing the correct
religious life, paying one’s debts, or washing away one’s filth. If one sees a
deceased person washing himself before his burial in a dream, it means relief
for one’s dependents and increase of their wealth after him. Giving a ritual
ablution to a deceased person in a dream also means that someone will repent
for his sins at the hand of the undertaker. If a deceased person asks someone
to wash his clothes for him in a dream, it means that he needs someone to pray
for him, or to intercede on his behalf before his Lord, or to pay charity for the
benefit of his soul, or to pay his debts, or to fulfill his will, or to do him justice.
If one does fulfills the deceased person’s wish and washes his clothes for him in

Turkish bath

attendant of a public bath facility in a dream means paying one’s debts,
dispelling one’s problems, ending one’s difficulties and washing oneself from
sin. On the other hand, seeing him in a dream also could mean depression or a
sickness. If one sees himself as the attendant of a Turkish bath facility or a
bathhouse, and if he stood by and did not serve the customers in the dream, it
means that he is a pimp and a bastard who brings benefits to no one but rather

Beating
(Blow; Hit; Lash; Whip) To hit someone with a staff in a dream means
bringing back to life something that died away or investigating the cause of a
death or clarifying something. To beat someone with a wooden stick in a dream
means failing to fulfill a promise, or it could mean lying to someone. If someone
in authority hits his employee in a dream, it means that he will give him a raise.
If he hits him on his back in the dream, it means that he will pay his debt. If
he hits him on his backside in the dream, it means that he will give him a
daughter in marriage. If one hits someone head with a stick in a dream, it means that he desires his position or it may denote his jealousy. If one hits someone
between the eyes in a dream, it means that he wants him to get lost. Beating
someone in a dream also means to rebuke, revile or insult him, or it could mean
to admonish him. Beating someone over his scull in a dream means that the
victim in the dream will attain excellence of expression and reach his goals. If
he hits him over the earlobe and if it bleeds in the dream, it means that the
assailant will rape and deflower the daughter of the victim. Like that, interpreting
the subject of beating must be associated with the meaning of the limb affected

one sees himself beating a donkey in a dream, it means that he does not earn
his daily bread unless he regularly prays for it. To beat someone in a dream also
means cursing him. If he hits him over the head in the dream, it means speaking
ill of him and that one cannot retrieve his words or apologize for them. Beating
a family member in a dream means that one's wife is committing adultery.
Beating someone in a dream also means benefiting him, or it could mean
business losses. If one is beaten in a dream, it means profits and benefits, unless
if the one beating him is an angel, or a deceased person, or a member of his
family. Beating someone with a leather belt or with a cane in a dream means
bad consequences in wakefulness. Hitting the floor in a dream means taking a
trip. If one receives one hundred lashes on his back in a dream, it means that
he has committed adultery, or it could mean that he has the intention to do so.
If one receives forty lashes in a dream, it means that he indulges in drinking
alcohol or uses intoxicants. If he is lashed eighty times in a dream, it means that
he slanders married women. If he is whipped by a deceased person in the dream,
it means that he is pursuing wrong ideas and should reverse his course, for a
deceased person dwells in the kingdom of truth and follows only what pleased
God Almighty. However, if one sees himself in a dream beating a deceased
person, this could be interpreted to denote the strength of his faith, certitude,
prayers and charitable nature. It also could mean benefits from a business trip
or pursuing a lost interest. Beating in a dream when it causes no pain, bleeding
or scratches means receiving a new garment, paying debts, or hearing sarcastic

a dream also represents life, an earthly being, or fulfillment of a promise. If the
rain falls exclusively on a particular location in a dream, it means sorrow and
distress for its dwellers, or it could mean the loss of a beloved. If one sees rain
falling exclusively over his house in a dream, it means personal blessings.
Otherwise, it he sees it falling over the whole town in the dream, it means
blessings for everyone. Rain falling exclusively over one’s house in a dream also
means that someone will fall sick in that house, or suffer from a debilitating and
excruciating pain. If the skies rain stones or blood in a dream, it means
calamities and punishment for people’s sins. If it rains dust or sand in a dream,
it represents an unjust ruler in that locality. If the skies rain dirt without dust,
it also means prosperity and a good harvest. If a traveller sees rain in a dream,
it means hindrances along his journey. A destructive rainstorm in a dream
denotes dishonesty, cheating with measures, or the spread of sodomy in the
community. Seeing a destructive rainstorm tearing down structures, destroying
homes and pulling down tress in a dream represents a punishment for the
corruption and sins of the dwellers of that place. A good rain in a dream could
mean reconciliation with one’s enemy, or it could mean helping a needy person.
Rain in a dream also represents a caravan of camels, and a caravan of camels
in a dream represents rain. A good rain in a dream also means prosperity,
happiness, refilling wells with rainwater, the gushing forth of springs with

Clouds

Vapor; Water) In a dream, clouds represent the course of life which provides
people with rainwater to drink, water to wash their dirt, water for their crops
and sustenance. Clouds in a dream also represent knowledge, understanding,
wisdom, clarity as they show the divine kindness. Clouds in a dream also
represent an army or friends who carry the water and the water represents life
and the original element from which they were created. Clouds in a dream also
represent ships, airplanes, or if they are black or carry stones or bring thunder,
then they represent the antagonistic character of a leader who deprives his
people from their rights or causes them to suffer through restrictive laws or
harsh mandates. If one sees a cloud inside his house or descending upon him in
his room in a dream, it means that he will join the company of believers or
receives an award, or that he is endowed with wisdom, or should he wish for a
child, his wife will conceive one. If he is a merchant, it means that his
merchandise will arrive to its port of destination. If one sees himself riding over
a cloud in a dream, it means exaltation or marriage to a pious woman, or that
one will attend a pilgrimage should it be his wish. Otherwise, should he wish
for it, he will become renowned for his knowledge and wisdom. Should he

clouds carrying rains and coming in that direction in the dream, it means a
calamity. If the clouds carry poisonous rains or acid rains or polluted rains, or
if they are driven by heavy winds, or if they carry fires or dust or ashes or rocks
from a volcano, they mean that a calamity will strike that locality, or that they
will receive news about travellers the majority of whom will perish during a trip.
Clouds also mean innovations and man made religions that may spread throughout
the land. If one sees himself merging with the clouds in a dream, it means that
he associates himself with a person in authority or a wise man or a man of
knowledge. If one sees himself eating clouds in his dream, it means that he will
gain lawfully earned money from such a person, or that perhaps he may gain
wisdom. If one sees himself amassing clouds in a dream, it means that he will
learn wisdom at the hand of a close associate. If one sees himself mixing with
the clouds but does not carry anything out of them in a dream, it means that he
will mix with people of knowledge and learn nothing from what they say, or
practice nothing of what they teach. If one sees himself riding over the clouds
in a dream, it means that he may become famous for his wisdom and knowledge.
If one sees his own son turned into a cloud in a dream, it means that he earns
his livelihood from teaching wisdom or religious knowledge to others. Black clouds
in a dream mean wisdom, forbearance, honesty and joy. If the black clouds also
carry a threat or cause fear in the dream, it means that one will be reprimanded
by such a wise person. If one sees himself building a house over a cloud in a
dream, it means that he lives an honest life, earns lawful money and lives his
life with wisdom and integrity. If one builds a palace over a cloud in a dream,
it means that through his wisdom, he avoids committing sins. It also means that
he prospers from such a wisdom or builds a palace in paradise with his deeds.
If one sees a cloud in his hand and rain falling from it in a dream, it denotes the
wisdom he speaks. If one turns into a rainy cloud in a dream, it means that he
lives wealthy and benefits people from his money. If one turns into a cloud that
rains gold in a dream, it means that he will learn wisdom from a great man.
Clouds in a dream also represent the people in authority who do others favors
and ask for no reward. If one hears a human sound calling him from behind a
cloud in a dream, it means that God willing he will attend a pilgrimage. ( See

white cloud represents a blessed and a noble justice. Clouds in season in a dream
represent benefits, profits and prosperity. A mass of black clouds carrying no
rain in a dream mean benefits, extreme cold, sadness or sorrow. Red clouds in
a dream mean distress, adversities or a sickness. A cloud covering a town in a
dream means blessings. If the person who sees such black clouds in his dream
is intending to take a trip, it will take place, though his safety cannot be insured.
On the other hand, if he is unhappy about something, then if he sees such a
dream, it means that his sorrow will be dispelled. White clouds in a dream are
a sign of work, a job or business. Rising fog in a dream means taking a journey,
or returning from one. Red clouds in a dream means lack of work. A gloomy cloud
in a dream means stress. If one sees clouds welcoming him in a dream, it means
glad tidings. If he is an evil person, it means a calamity and a chastisement for
his sins. If one sees clouds covering the sun in a dream, it means that the ruler
of that land is ill. If one sees himself wearing a shirt of clouds in a dream, it
means blessings that God Almighty has favored him with. Clouds in a dream
also represent virtues, miracles, favors, rains, love and blessings, because they
also appear when a prophet or a saint pray for rain or to shelter a blessed person

(Whip) In a dream, a scourge means fulfilling one’s needs, attaining
one’s goal, or subjugating one’s enemy to accept one’s conditions. If one’s scourge
is cut in two pieces during a fight, or while lashing someone in a dream, it means
loss of power. If the rope splits, it means weakening of one’s authority. If one
sees himself driving an animal with a whip in a dream, it means praying to
Almighty God to ease his burdens and to facilitate his earnings. If one sees
himself riding a horse and hitting him hard with a scourge in a dream, it means
that he is in dire need and is praying for a way out of his difficulties. If one sees
himself lashing a sittingperson with a scourge in a dream, it means admonishing
him, and if the other person is scared, or if he shields his face with his arm in
the dream, it means repentance from sin. If he is not hurt by the scourge in the
dream, it means that he is stubborn and does not accept the good advice. If he
bleeds in the dream, it means that he is beaten unjustly. If the victim’s blood
splashes and stains one’s clothes in the dream, it means that he will receive
suspicious or unlawful money from his victim. If one’s scourge is bent in the
dream, it means a mental disorder, or that one’s assistant is a reckless or an
impatient person.

Mountain
A mountain in a dream represents a great and a noble man who
possesses a strong and a commanding voice, who commands good administration
of his affairs and an excellent leadership. It also can be interpreted as a son, a
difficult and austere woman, or a businessman. If the mountain is rounded or
flat in the dream, it means difficulties or distress. A mountain in a dream also
could mean achieving one’s goal, a journey, or fulfilling a promise. If the
mountain is standing distinct from other mountains in the dream, the above
meanings become stronger. If the mountain has pasture and stores a source of
water, and if it is used as a permanent guarding post, then it represents a pious
ruler. However, if it stores no water, and if no pasture grows therein in the
dream, it represents a tyrant and a ruler who is an atheist, for in that case, it
is dead and does not glorify God Almighty, nor can people benefit from it. In a
dream, a mountain that stands high is alive, but a crumbling mountain which
has turned into a pile of rocks is dead. If a person sees himself climbing an erect
mountain, eating from its plants and drinking from its water, and if he qualifies
to govern, it means that he will be appointed to a governing post under the
auspices of a stringent ruler, though his subjects do receive benefits from his
government. The size of benefits the governor will acquire is equal to the
quantity of food and the measure of water he drinks from it in his dream. If the
person is a merchant or a business man, a mountain in his dream represents
profits and earning a good reputation. If climbing the mountain is easy, then
there are no benefits in that climbing in the dream, for there are no benefits
without hardships. If at the end of his climbing one thanks God Almighty for
what he has reached in the dream, it means that he will become a just ruler.
If he calls to prayers on the top of a mountain or performs his prayers thereat
in the dream, it means that he will be appointed to govern. If one sees himself
descending a mountain in a dream, it means loss of rank, business losses, or
regret. If one is accompanied with his king and soldiers in a dream, it means
that he is in the company of God Almighty and that of His angels, therefore,
he shall be victorious, whereby, he can win a war, conquer an enemy, or
renounces his attachment to the world. If climbing a mountain with difficulty
means distress, then descending it in a dream means relief. If climbing means
gaining a higher station, then descending in a dream means losing rank. If one
sees himself climbing a mountain, though at a certain height he finds himself
no longer able to climb or to descend in the dream, it means that he will die
young. If one sees himself falling from a mountain in a dream, it means that he
will fall into sin. If he falls and breaks a leg in the dream, it means that he will
become despised by his superiors. A mountain on fire in a dream represents the
death of a dangerous person. Leaning against a mountain in a dream represents
friendship with someone in authority. Living in the shadow of a mountain in a
dream means earning one’s livelihood from such a person and living happily
there. Carrying a mountain in a dream means carrying the responsibility of
managing the business of a notable merchant, and such responsibilities will
bear heavy on him. If the mountain is radiant with lights, it means that one’s
responsibilities will be light too. If he sees a mountain descending from the
heavens in a dream, it represents a visit of the local governor to that locality.
If one sees the mountain rising into the skies in a dream, it means that the
governor of that town will be dismissed. Throwing stones from the top of a
mountain in a dream means insulting others. If the mountain is beautifully
dressed in the dream, it means that one will command a greater authority.
Seeing a mountain at a distance in a dream means a journey. If one sees an
earthquake hitting a mountain in a dream, it means that calamities will befall
that land or country. If an evildoer sees a mountain in his dream, it means that
he will surely suffer for his sins. Swallowing a mountain in a dream means
commanding and controlling ruthless and strong men. Climbing a mountain
until one reaches a flat surface in a dream means serving orphans, or nursing
sick people. Entering a cave inside a mountain in a dream means reaching
safety. The good or evil emanating from seeing a mountain in one’s dream
depend on its fertility or bareness. Climbing a mountain and enjoying its
vegetations and its sweet fresh waters in a dream means sheltering one’s
chastity in the company of one’s wife, or learning a knowledge or a trade that
will satisfy one’s needs. Climbing a mountain through a straight path in a dream
means facing things the way they are. If one sees mountains moving forward
with him, it means a war or a major conflict between people of knowledge.
Falling down from the top of a mountain into the middle of beasts, crows,
vultures, snakes, mammals, mire, filth, or rats and their different kinds in a
dream means abstaining from sins, or refraining from innovation if escaping
from them leads one into a mosque where he can enter to pray, or a garden where

Hair
In a dream, hair represents money and longevity. If a rich person ties a
strand of hair to a bun of his own in a dream, it means increase of his wealth
and growth of his business based on a business loan or a mortgage. If a poor
person sees that in a dream, it means that he will borrow money to pay for his
debts and still borrow more money to pay for his daily expenses. If one sees his
straight hair frizzed or curled in a dream, it means that he will be honored, and
if he sees his frizzed hair straight in a dream, it means that he will suffer from
humiliation or lose his rank. If one with a straight and lanky hair sees it longer
than usual in a dream, it means that money belonging to someone for whom he
works will be distributed, wasted, or lost. If one’s hair is soft and lanky but still
looks longer than usual in a dream, it means that his manager’s authority will
expand, and his interests will diversify. If a strong man or a warrior sees himself
having a bun of hair in a dream, it means protection and respect inspired by a
strong personality. Otherwise, if he is rich in the dream, a bun here means more
wealth, and if he is a poor, it represents his debts. If one’s hair looks curly in
a dream, it means that power, honor and praises will be the lot of his superior.
If a woman sees her hair straight in a dream, it denotes benefits and particularly
if she uses a hair pieces or a wig as part of her makeup. Women receive benefits
from braiding their hair in a dream and it means saving money or investing it.
Otherwise, if a poor person, or a blind person braids his or her hair in a dream,
then it means complications and difficulties, and particularly when they are
accustomed to doing so. If a sick woman sees herself braiding her hair in a
dream, it means that she will die from her illness. If one sees his hair long to
the extent that he could braid it together with his beard in a dream, it means
debts. Shaving one’s moustache, or under one’s armpit in a dream means paying
one’s debts, dispelling distress, or following good hygienes. Braiding one’s hair
in a dream also means mastering one’s craft. Shaving one’s head during the
pilgrimage season in a dream means safety and protection. Shortening one’s
hair, or removing unwanted hair during makeup in a dream means dispelling
stress, or being coerced to pay one’s debts. If a thief or a fugitive sees himself
grabbing to his own long and lanky horse like hair in a dream, it means that he
will be captured. If one sees himself having hair like that of a hog in a dream,
it connotes major calamities. If an unhappy person sees himself hairy in a
dream, it means aggravation of his depression and unhappiness, while if a
happy person sees himself hairy in a dream, it means increase of his happiness.
The black hair of a woman in a dream represents her husband’s love for her. If
a woman sees herself wearing a veil, or putting on a head piece in a dream, it
means a journey that will take her husband away from her from sometime, or
a journey from which he may never return. If she sees people looking at her hair
in a dream, it means that she will suffer slander and defamation. If a man sees
himself with horns formed from his own hair in a dream, it means might and
adroitness. If one sees the hair in the back of his head disheveled or rumpled
in a dream, it means that he will suffer humiliation. If he sees his hair on the
right side of his head tousled in a dream, it means that he will molest male
children from among his relatives. If he sees his hair on the left side of his head
tousled, or disheveled in a dream, it means that he will molest female children
from among his relatives. If one does not have relatives, it means that he will
suffer harm from his evil actions. If one sees long hair under his armpit in a
dream, it means he will attain his goal, or it could denote his generous character.
If he sees it thick in a dream, it denotes his thirst for knowledge, search for a
business, or profiting through patience and endurance. If one sees his hair
infested with lice in a dream, it means that he has a large family. If one sees
his hair longer or thicker, and if he wishes in the dream to have that in
wakefulness, it means that he will attain his goals, pay his debts, or prosper.
If the length or thickness of one’s hair is uncommon, and if one feels no offense
to walk with it in the streets in his dream, it means debts, distress and inability
to take care of one’s family. Long hair in a dream also means naughtiness and
adversities. Thick and long hair in a dream also can be interpreted as having
many children, or it could represent fear of wrongdoing, or thinking about an
important person, or it could represent common daily concerns. Having less hair
in a dream means diminishing difficulties. If one sees someone pulling out his
hair in a dream, it means that he may have to face a financial disaster. If a
woman sees a strand of her hair being cut in a dream, it means a fight between
her and her husband, or it could mean that someone is encouraging her husband
to seek another woman. If one sees himself grooming his hair with oily dressing
in a dream, it means adorning oneself for the world. If the oil runs over one’s
face in the dream, it means trouble. Discovering a bad odor emanating from
one’s hair in the dream means hearing praises. Delousing one’s hair in a dream
means discovering some of one’s own faults. If some lice fall during the combing
of one’s hair in a dream, it means that he will spend a portion of his inheritance
in charity, or that he will clean his act, or correct his attitude. If one sees his
hair growing anew in a dream, it means that he may lose most of his wealth. If
one sees hair growing on his face where hair does not usually grow in a dream,
it means debts. If one sees hair growing in the palm of his hand in a dream, it
means benefits from a business. A hairy chest, or hair growing over one’s tongue
in a dream means wisdom, clarity, or diligence, except if it grows beyond control,
then it becomes adversities, stress, sorrows, debts and so forth. If one sees the
hair on his forearm scattering, or falling in a dream, it means that he may lose
all his savings. Braiding the hair of one’s legs in a dream means earning money
through improper methods, or engaging in something which contradicts the
divine laws. Woman’s hair in a dream represents her protection, husband or
family. Hair in a dream also denotes farming, money, a wife, a husband or
marriage. If one’s hair looks ugly and smelly in a dream, it represents the living
condition or the state of the husband and wife. Nicely combing one’s hair in a
dream means loyalty and fulfilling a promise. As for a person who lacks loyalty,
shaving his hair or cutting it short in a dream means squandering money,
though in general shortening one’s hair means knowledge and guidance.
Combing the hair of one’s wife in a dream means divorce. Good looking hair in
a dream represents a person of good character. Hair in a dream also means
feeling apprehensive about something. If one’s hair turns into an animal’s hair
in a dream, it means toiling and difficulties. If a poor person sees that dream,
it means that his basic needs will be adequately satisfied. The eyebrows,
eyelashes, hairy arms, hairy legs and a hairy chest in a dream also represent
man’s virility, beauty, protection, or lasting wealth. Hair in one’s ears in a dream
means knowledge, or admonition. Seeing hair in one’s noses in a dream
represents a beneficial thing one breezes, though it may involve some hidden
trouble, or it could mean money. Hair covering woman’s body in a dream means
remaining celibate and for a married woman it means taking care of her parents
and children. A hairy child in a dream means longevity. If a beardless man sees
himself hairy in a dream, it means that his wife will soon be pregnant. If one’s
hair turns white in a dream, it means loss of money for a rich person, or paying
