Destruction
(Admonition; Cave in; Earthquake; Harvest; Violation) In a dream,
destruction means dispersion of people, or it could mean death. Destruction in
a dream also means the leveling of a town or the death of its ruler or it could
represent absence of justice. Experiencing destruction in a dream means
suffering from the persecution of people one cannot bear. Seeing a city destroyed
by an earthquake in a dream represents the carrying of a death sentence for
someone there, or it could mean violation of people’s rights or freedom in that
town. If one sees an entire town being destroyed with its urban area, factories
and fields in a dream, it means that the people of that town have gone astray,
or that its leaders are struck with calamities. On the other hand, if one sees it
flourishing in a dream, then it reflects the spiritual awareness and religious

Knee
(Brotherhood; Health; Kneelingin prayers; Movement; Partnership; Prayers;
Servants) One’s knee in a dream represents his efforts, toiling, purpose and
share in earning his livelihood. If the skin covering the kneecap appears healthy
and flawless in the dream, it means that one’s livelihood will become easier to
manage, and his financial standing will become stronger. However, if the skin
of one’s kneecap is detached or hangs loosely in the dream, it denotes coming
hardships. If the skin looks rough and swelling in a dream, it means that his
hard earned money will be lost in a bad investment, and subsequently his
earnings will be scarce and hard to get. Knees in a dream also represent the
condition of one’s health, movements, freedom and level of professionalism.
Healthy knees in a dream also represent travels or business activities. If a sick
person experiences knees pain in a dream, it may mean that he is nearing his
death. As for a traveller knees in a dream represent his travelling vehicle. They
also connote giving and receiving, quietness, one’s residence, savings, expen¬
ditures, or immobility. A broken kneecap in a dream means separation between
friends, or damage to one’s vehicle.

Sugar cane
(Cane; Juice; Reeds) In a dream, sugar cane means toiling and
suffering, rabbling, or clamor in the area in which it is seen in a dream. Sugar
cane in a dream also could represent a noble lineage, acquiring an honorable
knowledge, or earning a spiritual advancement. Sugar cane in a dream also
represents chaste and noble women or pious men. If one sees a field of sugar cane
planted in inadequate terrain, then means destruction, ruin, or archaeological
excavations that will lead to exposing the past and exhuming the dead, or it
could mean a wailing party of women showing their grief and sorrow. A field of
sugar cane in a dream also represents the ability to hide something, or to redo
something, or to declare a war, or it could mean signing a business agreement,
a marriage contract, celebrating old times and events, freedom from imprison¬
ment, releasing prisoners, recovering from an illness, or exhuming the dead.
Chewing or sucking on a stick of sugar cane in a dream means becoming
talkative or repetitive. If one sees himself making juice out of sugar cane in a

Beheading
(Capital punishment; Death; Decapitation) In a dream, beheading
means freedom from slavery or dispelling sorrows and dismay, payment of one’s
debts, or it could mean prospering. If one knows his assailant in the dream, it
means receiving wealth at his hand. If one is sick, it means that he will recover
from his illness, and if he is not sick, it means that he will attend a pilgrimage.
If the assailant is a young boy, then it means comfort, joy and relief from his
burdens through his own death. If a healthy person is beheaded in a dream, it
means the end of his comfort or loss of his job or authority. If one sees the
governor of the town beheading him in a dream, it means that God Almighty will
save him from his sorrows and strengthen him in this life. If one sees a ruler
beheading his subjects in a dream, it means that he will issue a decree of
amnesty for all prisoners. If one is beheaded as a result of a judgment or by
robbers in a dream, it means that either one of his parents or a child of his may
die shortly. If a condemned person on death row sees himself beheaded in a
dream, it means that he will be released from prison and his judgment will be
rectified. If an investor or a money exchanger sees that, then it means loss of
his capital investment. If a traveler is beheaded in a dream, it represents his
safe return home. If rivals see that in a dream, it means loss of their fight. (Also

Angels
(Celestial beings; Heavenly beings) If one sees the heavenly angels (arb.
Mala’ika) coming before him to congratulate him in a dream, it means that God
Almighty has forgiven that person his sins and endowed him with patience,
through which he will attain success in this life and in the hereafter. If one sees
the heavenly angels greeting him or giving him something in the dream, it
means that his insight will grow, or that he maybe martyrized. If one sees angels
descending upon a locality that is raging with a war in a dream, it means that
the dwellers of that place will win victory. If the people are suffering from
adversities, it means that their calamities will be lifted. Flying with angels or
visiting the heavens in their company in a dream may mean that one will die
in the station of a martyr and receive God’s utmost blessings. If one feels scared
of the angels in his dream, it means that a fight, an argument or awesome trials
will befall that locality. In general, to see the angels descending from the
heavens to the earth in a dream means enfeeblement of those who have doubt,
and strength for those who have faith and certitude. If one sees the angels
prostrating to him in a dream, it means that all his needs will be satisfied and
he will be endowed with good conduct, good behavior and a blessed fame. If one
sees them looking like women in the dream, it means that he lies before God
Almighty. If a pious person sees an angel telling him in a dream: “Read God’s
Book.” It means that one will attain happiness in his life. If an impious person
sees an angel in a dream telling him: “Read your own records.” It means that
he may go astray. If one sees the angels giving him glad tidings and congratulating
him in a dream, it means that he will beget a blessed son who will grow to be
righteous and an example to be followed. If one sees a gathering of angels in a
town in his dream, it means that a pious man, or an ascetic, or a great scholar
will die in that locality. If one sees himself looking at the angels in the skies in
a dream, it means that he may suffer the loss of a son or his wealth. Seeing the
celestial angels (arb. Ruhaniyyeen ) in a dream means gaining honor, dignity,
blessings in one’s life, profits and a good fame, developing spiritual inner
insight, or becoming a business manager. Near the end of one’s life, one who sees
such a dream also will suffer from people’s slander and backbiting. He will also
lose his good reputation to people’s envy and evil qualities and he will live in
tight financial conditions. If one becomes an angel in a dream, it means tat he
will receive honor, power, overcome his adversities, dispel his distress and win
his freedom, or it could mean that he will rise in station. If one sees the angels
greeting him and shaking hands with him in a dream, it means that God
Almighty will endow him with wisdom, clarity and insight. Angels in a dream
also represent one’s closest witnesses, guardians, police officers or the emissar¬
ies of a ruler. Wrestling with an angel in a dream means loss of status. Wrestling
with an angel in a dream also means suffering from distress, trouble, humili¬
ation and falling in rank. Seeing angels entering one’s house in a dream means
that a thief will burglarize such a house. If angels disarm someone in a dream,
it means that he will lose his wealth and strength, or that he may divorce his
wife. If angels offer the person a tray of fruits in the dream, it means that he
will depart from this world as a martyr. If angels curse someone in a dream, it
means that he has little care for his religion. If one sees a gathering of heavenly
angels together with the angels of hell-fire in a dream, it means enmity and
divisiveness. If a sick person sees himself struggling with an angel in a dream,
it is a sign of his death. If one sees an angel taking the form of a child in a dream,
it represents one’s future. If he sees an angel as a youth, the youth then
represents the present time and whatever events that will take place during it.
If the angel appears in the form of an old man in the dream, he represents the
past. If one sees the angels praying and asking for God’s forgiveness on his
behalf in a dream, it means that one’s spiritual and religious life will grow for
the better, and that he will become wealthy. If one sees angels descending upon
a cemetery in a dream, it signifies the presence of blessed and righteous souls
in that place. If one sees angels walking in the markets in a dream, it means that
the merchants are trifling with prices and playing with the measures. If the
angels who are in charge of punishing the sinner in hell walk before a dying
person and he does not fear them in the dream, it means peace and tranquility.
If one sees the angels teaching a dying person how to recite his final rites in a
dream, it means glad tidings and attainment of what his heart desires, a
guarantee of his safety, happiness, joy and of having a blessed and a good heart.
If he sees them angry with him or beating him or subduing and taming him in
a dream, it means that he may revert to sin, earn the displeasure of his parents,
disdain from complying with God’s commands, or he could even come to deny
the necessity of God’s religion. Such angels in a dream also represent the
emissaries of a governor or his deputies. If a dying person is told in the dream
that no angels have come to see him, then it is a testimony of his good character
and piety, or it could mean payment of one’s debts or recovering from an illness.
Angels in a dream also could represent scholars, gnostics or translators who
understand people’s languages and speak in many tongues. As for Munkar and
Nakir, the angels who come to one’s grave upon his burial to question him,
seeing them in a dream means prosperity for a poor person, and finding work

Elegance

handsome, elegant or sophisticated in a dream signifies distress, trouble, false
accusations, abstinence, or it could mean freedom.

Oven
(Fire; Furnace; Grill; Head of household; Kiln; Range) If one sees himself
lighting an oven for heating, or cooking on it in a dream, it means increase in
earnings and benefits for one’s own growth. An oven in a house in a dream means
bringing a solution to a problem, or winning victory over one’s enemies. An oven
without accumulation of ashes in a dream means a bad marriage. Dream
interpretation of ovens varies sometimes depending on the type of oven one sees
in his dream. A grilling oven in a dream means imprisonment for a free man and
freedom for a jailed one. A grilling oven in a dream also represents a respected
man of knowledge who is sought to deliver legal opinions or views of wisdom that
will satisfy both parties in a claim. The house range in a dream represents the
head of the household, the housekeeper, the butler, a treasure chest, one’s coffer
or a safety box. The baker’s oven in a dream represents the governor’s house, a
juvenile correction house, fulfillment of one’s needs, earning one’s livelihood, or
recovering from illness. If one bakes dough in a dream, it means satisfying one’s
needs, recovering from illness, winning victory over one’s enemies, or opponent,
winning a court case, teaching one’s son a craft, sending one’s child to a school,
enlisting one’s son in the army, or it could mean becoming wealthy. A bakery oven
in a dream also represents one’s source of income, revenues, or shop, or it could
denote one’s carnal self, its good and evil nature, or it could mean changes in one’s
life, profits and losses. Seeing an unknown bakery oven in a dream also represents
the governor’s house, or the court house because of the fires that are kindled
therein from time to time—as fire in a dream signifies power and sovereignty. An

death. Seeing him in a dream means martyrdom if one is inspired by it. If one
sees the archangel ‘Izrail angry with him in a dream, it means that one will die
unrepented. If one sees ‘Izrail standing above him, or battling him in a dream,
it means that he will recover from a severe illness. Seeing the archangel ‘Izrail
in a dream also means longevity, or going through unavoidable circumstances,
or experiencing extreme fear. If one sees himself being ‘Izrail in a dream, it
means rising in status to govern and to oppress others, or he might become an
executioner, or perhaps that some major events may take place at his hand.
Kissing ‘Izrail in a dream means receiving an inheritance. Seeing ‘Izrail in a
dream also means separations, death of sick people, losses, destruction, fire, bad
news, forfeiture of properties, stagnation of the economy, losing one’s source of
livelihood, imprisonment, breach of promise, forgetting one’s knowledge, ne¬
glecting one’s prayers, obstruction of charities, hindrance of alms distribution,
negating the rights of others, retreating to one’s privacy, rising prices, bad crop,
a tyrant ruler, glass blowing, or bankruptcy. As for one who loves to meet his
Lord, seeing the archangel ‘Izrail in a dream means attainment of one’s goal,
fulfillment of a promise, freedom from prison, good news and glad tidings. If an
unknown or a common person approaches someone in the street and whispers
something in his ear in confidence, the commoner here represents the angel of
death. It is said that each human being will see the archangel ‘Izrail three times

Glorifying
Glorifying God’s sovereignty in a dream is a confirmation of one’s true
faith. If in real life the person is ill, imprisoned or in fear, glorifying God
Almighty in a dream means his cure, freedom and peace. If one sees himself
performing his prescribed prayers, then following that with invocations of God’s
glory in a dream, it means that one will receive a verdict of innocence, fulfil a
vow, comply with the divine command, or that God Almighty will provide him
with resources to pay his debts from sources he does not anticipate.

If one is required in his dream to circumscribe to
the limitations placed by God on man’s freedom of action in the world, or if one
asks that such judgment be exacted in his case, his dream then represents

an odious person. However, if one sees himself holding or eating a carrot in a
dream, it means overcoming one’s difficulties. It is also said that holding or

ers hold carrots to represent the opposite and perceived benefits in seeing them
in a dream, including the freedom of a prisoner from his jail.

Reject
In a dream, rejecting something means ingratitude or disbelief.
Relationships: (Bond; Connection; Liaison) To have important connections in a
dream means compelling one’s enemy to retreat or to accept one’s conditions. To
have strong relationships in a dream cools the divine wrath, as does giving
charity in secret. This is true unless one’s connections or circle gathers a group
of evil companions, or if one is mingling with a band of conspirators.
Relaxation: (Ease; Leisure; Repose; Rest) To see oneself relaxing after toiling in
a dream means wealth after poverty, or a happy marriage after a miserable one.
If a sick person sees himself relaxed in a dream, it means the nearing of his
death, and taking a rest from the adversities and toiling of this world. On the
other hand, relaxing in a dream may mean misery, worries and unhappiness.

Morning
In a dream, the morning represents the fulfillment of a promise, or it
could mean an unavoidable happening. If one sees himself unhappy and
miserable in the morning hours in a dream, it will denote a low spiritual state,
lack of religious coherence, or it could mean sinfulness. If an honest person sees
the morning in his dream, it could mean either glad tidings of a new born if he
is generous, or loss of his wealth if he is stingy. If a farmer sees the morning in
a dream, it means a penalty, a punishment, or financial losses for that year. If
one loses something then finds it in the morning in his dream, it means that he
will provide a proof that will inculpate his enemy. If a sick person sees the
morning in his dream, it means either recovering from his illness, or it could
mean his death. If one leads others in prayers in such a dream, it means travels,
or making a pilgrimage to Mecca. If the dream is interpreted to be his death,
then it means a good end to his life in this world, light in one’s grave, or that
God willing, he will enter paradise. If one sees the morning and solicits water
to drink, or purchases food, or barters for some barley in his dream, it means
that he will overcome his difficulties and dispel his adversities. If a prisoner sees
the morning in his dream, it means that he will be released shortly. If one’s
travels are impeded by whatever cause, then seeing the morning in his dream
means solving such problems and proceeding on with one’s plans. If one is
having difficulties with his wife, then seeing the morning in a dream means
divorce or separation. If a sinner sees the morning in his dream, it means
repentance from his sin and egress from heedlessness. If a merchant or a
businessman who is having trouble in his trade sees the morning in his dream,
it means good news and business growth. In general, seeing the morning in a
dream means relief from difficulties, escape from danger, a good harvest, or
winning one’s freedom.
