Donkey
(Ass; Obstinate person; Steadfastness) In a dream, a donkey means a boy,
a child, a wife, livelihood, a man of knowledge without work, or it could mean
travels. Riding a donkey in a dream also may mean easing of one’s difficulties.
Riding any animal without the required saddling in a dream means imposition
upon oneself or others or unnecessary and inadequate going out of one’s way.
Riding a donkey or a mule in a dream also represents one’s ornaments, children,
a rich wife, wealth or a profitable business. The braying of a donkey, a mule or
a mare in a dream may mean evil, excruciating trouble, an illegitimate child
born from adultery or evil spirits. Riding a big donkey in a dream connotes a
respectable rank. An upright walking donkey represents worldly benefits. A
beautiful looking donkey or a white donkey in a dream means adornment. An
emaciated donkey in a dream represents poverty, while a fat donkey means
money. A black donkey means happiness, honor and prosperity and a green
donkey means fear of wrongdoing. A donkey fit with a saddle in a dream
represents a respected son. A donkey with a long tail in a dream represents
lasting dynasty. His hoofs represent one’s money. The death of a donkey
represents the death of its owner, or rupture and breaking of one’s relationship
with his friends or family, the death of one’s supporter, selling a dear property,
divorce, travel or death of a husband. A lost donkey with an unknown master
in a dream represents an ignorant, obtrusive and a demanding person. To own
donkeys in a dream means mixing with a group of ignorant people. If one’s
donkey becomes obstinate and does not move forward except with beating in a
dream, it means that one’s sustenance and earnings come only through super¬
erogatory prayers and increased devotion. An obedient donkey in a dream
represents the vigilance of its owner. Driving a donkey inside one’s house in a
dream means bringing new income. Only the braying of a donkey is disliked in
a dream, though the rest is generally beneficial. A donkey in a dream represents
honesty in seeking one’s livelihood and earning clean money. If it indicates the
person who is seeing the dream, then it means that he buys and sells impure

his dream, it means relief from stress. A dirty waistband in a dream means

Wakefulness: (Alertness; Keenness of mind; Vigilance) Wakefulness in a dream
signifies keenness of mind, perseverance in one’s objective, completion of one’s
work, retracting one’s steps to reverse an act of wrongdoing, or it could mean
longevity. Waking up someone from his sleep in a dream means guiding him or
showing him the road.

Driving force

a dream, a driving force signifies retaliation by something, or compliance and
submission to someone together with vigilance and wonderment about what
might happen next. If one is driven by a human being in a dream, it means that
he is pushed into committing a murder or that he is hired to attack someone.
If one is driven by a beast, a lion or a bird of prey in a dream, it means humiliation
by a superior person, or suffering from a disease.

Quran
(Garden; Holy Book; The Last Revelation) In a dream, the holy Quran
represents a garden because when one looks at it, it looks like a beautiful garden
and its verses are the fruit of knowledge and wisdom the reader can pluck.
Learning a Quranic verse, a saying of God’s Prophet (uwbp), a prophetic
tradition, or a craft in a dream means richness after poverty, or guidance after
heedlessness. If one sees himself in a dream reading from the pages the holy
Quran, it signifies honor, command, happiness and victory. Reciting the Quran
by heart and without reading the pages of the holy Book in a dream means
proving to be true, or having a true claim, being pious, commanding what is good
and forbidding what is evil. If one is told a verse from the holy Quran in a dream,
he should understand it, memorize it and comply with the same. If the verse
reads about mercy or glad tidings or other admonitions in the dream, the
interpretation of one’s dream should be the same. If the Quranic verses recited
in the dream connote an advice, one should act upon it in order for him to reap
its benefits. If one hears a Quranic verse containing a warning, promising
punishment for the disbelievers, or announcing a swift retribution for their sins,
then one should immediately repent for his sins, even if the verses relate to
previous nations or times. If one sees himself reciting the Quran and under¬
standing what it says in a dream, it denotes his vigilance, intelligence, faith and
spiritual awareness. If a Quranic verse is recited to someone, and if he does not
agree with the divine judgement in the dream, it means that he will suffer harm
from someone in authority, or that a punishment from God Almighty will soon
befall him. If an unlettered person sees himself reading the holy Quran in a
dream, it could also mean his death, or his reading of his own records. If one sees
himself reading the holy Quran without true interest in it in a dream, it means
that he follows his own mind, personal interpretations and innovations. If one
sees himself eating the pages of the holy Quran in a dream, it means that he
earns his livelihood from his knowledge of it. If one sees himself completing the
reading of the entire Quran in a dream, it means that a splendid reward from
his Lord is awaiting him, and that he will get whatever he asks for. If a
disbeliever sees himself reading the holy Quran in a dream, the verses of
admonition will help him in his life, the verses of punishment will be his warning
from God Almighty and the parables will denote his need to contemplate the
meaning. If one sees himself writing the verses of the holy Quran on slabs of
a mother of pearl, or on a piece of cloth in a dream, it means that he interprets
it according to his own liking. If one sees himself inscribing a Quranic verse on
the ground in a dream, it means that he is an atheist. It is also said that reading
the Quran in a dream means fulfillment of one’s needs, clearing of one’s heart
and establishment of one’s success in his life. If one discovers that he has
memorized the Quran in a dream, though in wakefulness he has not memorized
it, it means that he will own a large property. Hearing the verses of the holy
Quran in a dream means the strengthening of one’s power, reaching a praiseworthy
end to his life, and that one will be protected from the envy and jealousy of
evildoing people. If a sick person sees himself reciting a verse from the holy
Quran, but could not remember to what chapter it belongs in the dream, it
means that he will recover from his illness. Licking the holy Quran in a dream
means that one has committed a major sin. Reciting the holy Quran in a dream

Pumpkin
(Gourd; Squash; Zucchini) In a dream, a pumpkin represents a scholar,
or a highly trained physician who cares about his patients and who is loved by
the people, who asks for little and who rarely asks for anything for himself. A
pumpkin in a dream could also denote medicine and particularly when cooked.
Eating pumpkin in a dream also means guidance, following good example, or it
could mean temptation. Eating a pumpkin in a dream also means recovering a
lost object, or reuniting with one’s beloved, or correcting one’s spiritual thoughts.
Eating raw pumpkin in a dream means becoming scared of roaming spirits (See
Jinn), or it could mean fighting with someone. Resting under the shade of a
pumpkin in a dream means soliciting peace and safety. It is also said that a
pumpkin plant in a dream represents a poor person. Finding a pumpkin in the
middle of a plantation of melons in a dream means recovering from a dangerous
illness. A pumpkin in a dream also could mean censure, reproof, or a scolding.
Eating a cooked pumpkin in a dream also means acquiring knowledge, or
memorizing some of it, or it could mean reestablishing broken ties. Pumpkin in
a dream also means distress, trouble, tight financial standing, sickness, or
imprisonment. A pumpkin in a dream also denotes vigilance and clarity of mind.
Serving plates or kitchen utensils that are made from dried pumpkin skin in a
dream represent beautiful, humorous and noble women. Eating a pumpkin
curry dish in a dream means distress, sadness and sorrow. Eating a steamed

on a ceramic plate or on a clay plate in a dream represents lawful earnings. If
food is served on a forbidden golden or silver platter in the dream, it represents
unlawful money, extensive debts, eating and chewing one’s food with desire and
gluttony. Swallowing what one is chewing means debts or collectors demanding
their money. Eating with the right hand in a dream means success. Eating with
the left hand in a dream means falling in the trap of one’s enemy and displeasing
one’s friends. Eating from someone else’s hand in a dream means good absti¬
nence and trusting in God Almighty as one’s sole sustainer. Eating from
someone else’s hand in a dream also can be interpreted as a sickness or inability
to eat with one’s own hand. Eating sweets in a dream means solving a problem
through kindness. If the food is greasy in the dream, it means that one’s problem
is a lasting one. Sour food in a dream means steadfastness. Sour food in one’s
mouth in a dream also means pain and sufferings. Yellow food in a dream means
sickness, except for fowl’s meat. Drinking food the way one drinks liquids in a
dream means increase in one’s earnings. Eating at a wedding in a dream means
glad tidings. Eating at a reception after a funeral in a dream means distress and
sorrow. Any food that has a long shelf life in a dream means profits and
continuous benefits. Meat, eggplant, squash or the like food in a dream represent
temporary benefit or seasonal earnings. Eating at the tables of royalties or rich
people in a dream means rising in rank, or renewing the mandate of one’s office.
Eating squash in a dream also means guidance, following the true religious
precepts, or it could mean vigilance. Eating food from the table of people of
knowledge in a dream means acquiring knowledge, guidance, wisdom and
blessings. Eating food from the plate of a policeman or a soldier in a dream
means committing adultery or receiving money from an unlawful source. Eating
the food of poor people or pious ones in a dream means repentance from sin or
receiving guidance. Eating the food of nomads or bedouins in a dream means
travels, rising in station or changes in one’s conditions. Eating a meal that is
cooked with meat in a dream means richness for a poor person. Eating a meal
that is cooked without meat in a dream also may mean poverty, or it could mean
devotion. If one’s meal turns into something better in the dream, it me ans
advancement in one’s spiritual life. If one’s food turns bitter or sour in the
dream, it means changing a spouse or a job. If one cookes a tasty meal in a dream,
it means attaining a high ranking job, or it could mean prospering after
suffering from a painful poverty. If someone else cooks one’s meal in the dream,
it means dealing with a treachrous person and in this case, it means that one
should fear for his life or about doing business with him, or it could mean that
he may receive a helping hand in doing his job. If one eats an unbearably hot
food in a dream, it means adversities. If one finds his mouth filled with food, and
if there is still a cavity for more food in the dream, it means confusion, or it could
represent the balance of his life in this world. If one manages to grind and
swallow the food in his mouth in a dream, it means that he will overcome his
difficulties. Receiving a sour or a bitter tasting food from someone in a dream
means hearing harsh words, and the same interpretation is given if one offers
someone sour or bitter food in a dream. If he eats it, then it means sorrow,
sadness and distress. If one finds himself eating it patiently and thanks God
Almighty for it in the dream, it means that he will escape from such dangers.

Cooking
Cooking on fire in a dream means attaining one’s goal or achieving one’s
purpose. If one sees himself preparing food on fire, and if his food is well cooked
in the dream, it means that he will attain success and become famous. Otherwise,
if his food is not well cooked in the dream, it means that he will fail to attain
his goal. Cooking in a dream also means provoking matters of interest. If the
food is well cooked in the dream, then it means money and profits. Cooking raw
meat in a dream and finding it hard to cook means getting involved in something
that will not mature. Otherwise, if it does cook, and if one can eat from it in the
dream, then it means success. Cooking mutton in a dream means living an
honorable life, being generous and earning lawful money. If one cooks beef in
his dream, it means living a comfortable life using the labor of tradesmen. If one
sees himself cooking lion’s meat in a dream, it means that he will rise to
leadership over unjust people, though one will have to maintain his vigilance
and live in constant fear. If one sees himself cooking dog’s meat in a dream, it
means that he will manage a lowly job. If he cooks the fat with it in a dream,
it means that he will earn unlawful money. Otherwise, without the fat, it means
that he will perform a lowly job and remains poor and deprived. If one sees
himself cooking a bird in a dream, it means governing or managing a business
or earning lawful money from associating with rich and noble people. If one
cooks his meal with vulture’s meat in a dream, it means governing or trading
with non-intelligent or heedless people and earning unlawful money. (Also see
