woman. Selling one’s mattress in a dream means divorcing one’s wife. If one’s
wife is sick, then selling one’s mattress means that she may die from her illness.
If one sees a dog or a pig sleeping on his mattress in a dream, it means that an
insolent person is having a secret affair with one’s wife. If the mattress is stuffed
with wool, cotton, or down in the dream, it represents a wealthy woman. If the
mattress is made of brocade or silk in the dream, it represents a Hindu woman.
If the color of the mattress is white in the dream, it represents a religious and
a pious wife. A green mattress in a dream represents a pious and a religious
wife. A black mattress in the dream represents a woman who is engaged in
doing something for other than God’s pleasure. Buying a new and a beautiful-
looking mattress in a dream means marriage to a chaste and a beautiful woman.
If the new mattress is torn or damaged in the dream, it means living with an
impious woman. Changing the place of one’s bed in a dream means divorce. If
one finds himself unable to sleep on his bed in a dream, it means that he cannot
have marital relationship with his wife, or perhaps he could be suffering from
impotence. If one tears his mattress in pieces in a dream, it means that he will
commit adultery. If he sees his mattress placed in front of the city hall in a
dream, it means that he may assume an important political appointment. An
unknown mattress in an unknown place in a dream means buying, receiving,
or inheriting a farmland. A mattress in a dream also means bearing a son.
Changing one’s mattress in a dream means leaving one’s wife for the sake of
another woman. If one does not like to sleep on his mattress in a dream and
prefers to find another place to rest, it means that he will renounce his conjugal
life. Folding one’s mattress and placing it aside in a dream means leaving one’s
home for a long journey, divorcing one’s wife, or avoiding to sleep with her for
one reason or another, or it could mean the death of either the husband or the

also manifest. If one wears a slipper over his head and a turban in his foot in
a dream, it means that he is carrying trouble. Depending on its type and name,
a garment in a dream could represent a man or a woman. Wearing a new
garment in a dream is better than seeing an old one. If a man sees himself
wearing a woman’s apparel in a dream, it means that he is a bachelor. If a woman
sees herself wearing a man’s garment in a dream, it means that she is
unmarried. Wearing a tightly buttoned shirt in a dream means experiencing
tight circumstances or reuniting with a traveller returning home, or it could
mean marriage for an unwed person. Wearing a stately apparel in a dream
means honor and dignity. Wearing a soldier’s uniform in a dream means war.
Wearing a scholar’s robe or a teacher’s vest in a dream means studying to become
a learned person. Wearing an ascetic’s woolen wrap in a dream means becoming

is dwelling in the heavenly paradise. Wearing a garment that is adorned with
gold in a dream means victory over one’s enemy. A black garment means honor,

means martyrdom. Wearing a cotton garment in a dream means following the
Prophet’s tradition (uwbp). Wearing a woolen garment in a dream means
clarity, unless if it is coarse or unfitting and in that case, it means poverty and

a favor. Wearing a brocaded garment in a dream means receiving an important
and a revered message, rising in station, enjoying wealth or it could represent
the blessing of having a child. Wearing a robe that is trailing behind one’s feet
in a dream means rebellion and disobedience, while wearing a moderately short
coat in a dream means purity, virtues and chastity. Wearing any type of garment
in a dream means emulating the character of such people or becoming a prisoner
of war. Wearing a kufi or a headdress for prayers in a dream means atonement
for one’s sins. Wearing a jubbah or a long cloak in a dream means longevity.

King
(God Almighty; Governor; Mayor; President; Royalty; Sultan) The true King
is God Almighty. If the king is pleased with someone in a dream, it means that
God Almighty is pleased with him, and if the king is angry with him in the
dream, it means that God Almighty is displeased with him. If one sees the king
frowning in a dream, it means that he fails to properly perform his prayers or
show true religious devotion. If one sees him smiling in a dream, it means profits
in one’s material as well as spiritual life. If one sees that God Almighty has
appointed him as a king over a land, it means that he will receive such a regency,
should he qualify. Later on, unrest will bring tyrants, or dictators to justice,
while people of knowledge and piety will survive and regain their authority. If
one sees himself as a calif or as an Imam in a dream and should he qualify, it
means that he will receive such an honor, rank, trust and fame in the land,
though his vice-regency will not become hereditary. However, it is a bad omen
if he becomes a calif in the dream and does not qualify for such an appointment.
In such a case, and by contrast, he will be humiliated and dispersed, and his own
helpers will become his superiors, while his enemies will rejoice at his misfortune.
If one sees himself as a king in a dream, though in reality he does not qualify,
it means that he may die quickly, and the same is true if a sick person sees
himself turned into a king. If he is healthy, it means that someone in his family
may die shortly. Seeing a king in a dream also denotes exposing hidden secrets.
If a philosopher or a fortuneteller sees himself transformed into a king in a
dream, then it denotes glad tidings should he not complain about it in his dream.
If a slave sees himself becoming a king in a dream, it means that he will be set
free. If one sees himself becoming one of the great kings of this world in a dream,
it means that he will attain worldly success in his life, though it will be
accompanied with religious failure. If the person is a natural con artist, it means
that he will be captured and imprisoned. If a man sees himself awarded a
knighthood that is suitable only for woman, then it means his death. If one sees
the kingreprimandinghim in a dream, it means peace between them. If one sees
himself arguing a case with knowledge and wisdom before a king in a dream,
it means that he will win his case and receive what he came for. If one sees
himself complaisant with the king about his case in the dream, it means that
he will lose his case and the judgment will go the king’s way. If one sees himself
walking with a king and rubbing shoulders with him in the dream, it means that
he will oppose the king or disobey him. If he sees himself following the king in
a dream, it means that he will pursue the king’s traditions during his lifetime
or after his death. If one enters the king’s palace prostrating in a dream, it means
that he will be appointed in a leadership position and receive the king’s pardon.
If one sees himself mixing with the king’s harem, or sleeping with them and
should there be signs of comfort, trueness, or wisdom in his act in the dream,
it means that he will enter the king’s inner circles. Otherwise, should he in the
dream fear the consequences of what is happening, or if he lacks trueness, or
if he slanders them, or indulges in what is unlawful for him to do, then should
he reach the king’s door, it means that he will triumph against his enemies
inside that palace, and they can cause no harm to him. If in his dream, the king
gives him a gift, it means that he will win victory and honor in his life to equal
the value of that gift. If the king gives him a brocaded silk garment in the dream,
it means that he will give him a wife from the royal family. If the king speaks
to someone in a dream, it means honor, fame, wealth after poverty, release from
jail, expansion of one’s business, or victory over one’s enemy. If an appointed
governor sees himself looking into a mirror in a dream, it means that he will be
dismissed from his post. If an appointed king sees someone who looks like him
sitting in his throne in a dream, it means that he will beget a son. If he divorces
his wife in a dream, it means that he will abdicate his throne. To see oneself
sleeping with the king in the same bed and without a curtain between them, and
if the king leaves the bed while one remains resting therein in the dream, it
means that his mixing with the king will incur jealousy, or that he will inherit
him. If one leaves the bed before the king, it means that he will escape from a
great danger. If one sees himself sleeping alone in the king’s bed in a dream, it
means that he will marry a woman from the governing family, or that he may
spend from his own money for the sake of a woman in that palace. If the bed is
in the palace though unknown in the dream, it means that he will become a
member of that government. If a king hears his subjects praising him in a dream,
it means that he will show good qualities. If his subjects shower him with money
in a dream, it means that they speak ill of him or cast blame at him. If they
shower him with sugar in the dream, it means they speak nicely of him, and if
they shower him with stones in the dream, it means that they will speak harshly
of him. If one sees the people paying obeisance and bowing to him in a dream,
it means that they will stand humbly before him. If they prostrate themselves
before him in a dream, it means that they truly praise him. If a king sees himself
following the opinion of a woman in a dream, it means that he will lose his
kingdom or fall victim to depression, or that he will be thrown into jail. If he
opposes her in the dream, it means that he will escape from a great danger. If
a king sees himself walking in a dream when a common subject comes near him
and whispers something in his ear, the commoner here represents the angel of
death ‘Izrail, and it means that the king may die a sudden death. Eating from
the hand of one’s servant in a dream represents the growing of one’s authority,
increase of his business, knowledge, or wisdom. If a king sees himself preparing
a banquet for guests in a dream, it means that his opponents will come to argue
their case, though he will win over them. If he sees himself placing food on the
table in a dream, it means that a messenger will come to see him concerning a
dispute. If the food is sweet, then the problem will end nicely. If the food is
greasy, then the problem will be a lasting one. Sour food then means steadfastness.
Eating on the table of a just and a righteous king in a dream means blessings
and honor. If the king is seen walking alone in the markets in a dream, it means
that he is a humble, just, and a strong ruler. A sick king in a dream represents
weakness in his faith and injustice toward his subjects. If the king is carried over
people’s shoulders in a dream, it means lack of faith and lack of attendance to
one’s religious obligations, or weakness in his ruling. If the king dies and does
not get buried in a dream, it means that the king and his subjects are deviates.
If he is buried and the people walk away from his grave in the dream, it means
that one will pursue something of no benefit, unless God Almighty decrees
otherwise. If one sees the king’s head transformed into a ram’s head in a dream,
it means that the king is a just and a kind ruler. If his head is transformed into
a dog’s head in the dream, then it represents his vile nature. If his chest turns
into a stone in the dream, it means that his heart will become like a rock. If one
sees his own hand turn into the king’s hand in a dream, it means that he will
receive a leadingjob. If one sees the king flying with wings in a dream, it means
that his authority will spread. If his fingers increase in shape or number in the
dream, it means that his greed and injustice will manifest. Any dream about a
deceased king will manifest in his successors or in his progeny.

Raincoat
(Overcoat; Trench coat) In a dream, a raincoat means comfort, superi¬
ority, backing, cooperation and strength. As for a merchant, wearing a raincoat
in a dream means prominence, distinction and fame in his field. Wearing a
heavy raincoat in a dream means profits in one’s material and spiritual life.
Wearing a cotton overcoat in a dream means lesser benefits. Wearing silk
brocaded overcoat in a dream signifies attachment to one’s worldly gains and
disregard for one’s religious and spiritual benefits. Being the only person who

Paleness
(Yellow) Paleness of one’s face in a dream means a sickness. If one sees
his face bright yellow in a dream, it means that he will be among the exalted
and blessed people in the hereafter. However, paleness of the face in a dream
also may be interpreted as humiliation, jealousy, or hypocrisy. Paleness of the
face in a dream also could mean devotion, standing up in prayers at night,
observing night vigils, being in love, piety, contemplation, or being afraid of
something. If one sees his face white and his body yellow in a dream, it means
that what he shows outwardly is better than what he hides. On the other hand,
if one’s face is yellow and pale and his body is white in the dream, then it means
that his heart is better than what others can perceive from his outer look. If both
his face and body look pale and emaciated in a dream, it means an illness.
Paleness of the face alone in a dream also means sadness or sorrow. Wearing
a yellow garment in a dream means an illness, unless if it is made from silk. If
one sees himself in a dream wearing a yellowish silk-brocaded cloak, it means
religious fakery, or committing improprieties under the name of one’s religion.

Turtle
In a dream, a turtle represents a woman who likes to adorn herself and to
make herself noticeable to please men. A turtle in a dream is also interpreted
as a man of knowledge, or a chiefjustice, because she is most knowledgeable and
God fearing amongst the sea creatures. In a dream, a turtle therefor could
represent a devout worshipper who reads the scrolls of God’s prophet Abraham,
upon whom be peace, or any of the holy scriptures. Seeing a pet turtle in a house
or a town in a dream means that the people of knowledge in that locality are well
respected. Seeing a turtle living in a dump, then it represents a knowledgeable
person living in the midst of ignorant people who care little about learning
anythingfrom him. Eating a turtle in a dream means profits, benefits, or money.
If one sees a turtle inside his house, or if he owns one in a dream, it means that
he will benefit from the company of a learned person who is acquainted with
ancient manuscripts, or in interpreting ancient scrolls. Ifone sees a turtle lying
on its back in a dream, it means that there is a man of knowledge in that town
people do not recognize. If one sees a well kept and fed turtle sitting on a brocade
in the dream, it means that the people of that town honor their scholars.

spying, hiding, evil and acquisition of weapons.

Wearing a good quality garment in a dream means prosperity in this
world and in the hereafter. Wearing a woolen garment in a dream means
renouncing the world and calling on people to do the same and to desire the
benefits of the hereafter. Wearing a green robe in a dream brings benefits and
no harm. If a living person sees himself or someone else wearing green in a
dream, it denotes his religious devotion. As for a deceased person, it means a
good state and acceptance before God Almighty. It is also said that wearing a
green garment in a dream means receiving an inheritance. Wearing a white
garment also means glad tidings. If a fabric merchant or a tailor sees himself
wearing a white garment in a dream, it means lack of work. Wearing a black
garment in a dream means a bad omen, but if one is used to wearing black
clothing, then it means honor, wealth and receiving a high ranking position.
Wearing a red garment in a dream means excess earnings that are not yet free
from due alms. Such a person then must immediately pay the proper share of
his earnings. A red garment in a dream means death, sickness and to a poor
person, it means increase in his difficulties. Wearing a red garment in a dream
can mean good only if the person wearing it is an unmarried woman. Otherwise,
wearing red during festivals or social gatherings in a dream has no meaning.
Wearing a yellow garment in a dream or any of its derivative colors in general
means ulcer or other internal festering illness. Wearing a silken garment in a
dream means loss and negligence of one’s religious life. Wearing a blue garment
in a dream means distress and difficulties. Wearing a patterned garment of
mixed colors in a dream means being reprimanded by one’s superior. It also
could represent a flower merchant. Wearing a double sided coat means duplicity
and affectation. A washed garment in a dream means poverty and indebtedness.
Wearing a brocaded garment in a dream means attending a pilgrimage. Oth¬
erwise, if the person qualifies, it means controlling interests in a farmland, or
it may represent a good harvest for that year. Wearing a garment which is
brilliant in colors for a man in a dream represents his pride and arrogance. If
one sees himself wearing a silken raiment and portraying a religious jurist in
a dream, it means that he is a seeker of worldly titles who may invent something
new. Announcing lost and found garments in a dream means attending a
pilgrimage to Mecca or a journey to an Arab country. A woman wearing a thin
garment in a dream represents her integrity, while if she is wearing a thick
garment, it represents her labor and hardships. If one sees himself putting on
a new garment after taking a ritual bath in a dream, it means prosperity or
repayment of his debts. If one’s new garment is torn and cannot be repaired in
the dream, it means inability to bear children. If the garment can be repaired
in the dream, it means that there is an evil spell over the person wearing it.
Wearing two torn garments in a dream means death. A torn garment in a dream
also means a shattered religious or spiritual life, or it could mean that one is
pursued by an evil person, or it could mean poverty or striving to satisfy one’s
basic material needs. If one is stripped of his clothing in a dream, it means loss
of his status. Destroying or wasting garments in a dream brings glad tidings,
unless if the person seeing the dream is incarcerated, or if he is a poor person,
or if he is in debt. If a man sees himself wearing a woman’s outfit in the dream,
and if in his consciousness he intended to act effeminately, it means that he will
face a calamity and carry a great burden. If he thinks in his dream that he is
a woman, then his humiliation will be greater. Receiving used garments but in
a good condition as a gift in a dream means money, though if they are in bad
condition, they mean trouble. A dog wearing a woolen cloak in a dream
represents a just ruler. If one sees a lion wearing a cotton or a linen cloak in a
dream, it represents a ruler who confiscates people’s properties and money.
Wearing linen cloak in a dream also means living a dignified life. Eating a clean
garment in a dream means receiving lawful earnings, and eating a dirty
garment in a dream means living from unlawful money. Burning one’s garment
in a dream means the end of his difficulties. Ironing off the creases of one’s
garment before wearing it in a dream means interest in beauty, glitters and
