interpreted differently. A large urn represents a prostitute. In a dream, a
cistern or any large conical jar made of porous clay and used in storing water
represents a caretaker, a custodian or a curator, the head of the household, his
safe, or his shop. If the urn is seen inside a house in a dream, it represents a rich
woman who is always in grief. If it is connected to a water wheel in the dream,
it represents a rich man who carries heavy responsibilities and who spends his
money on God's path. A waterskin in a dream represents a chaste woman.
Drinking from a waterskin in a dream means receiving money or benefits from
such a woman. If one sees himself drawing water from a storage tank then
pouring it into an urn in the dream, it means that he will take advantage of such
a woman. A wine pitcher in a dream means discovering a treasure. If one sees
an urn containing vinegar in a dream, it represents a pious and a God-fearing

by a rainstorm in a dream, then it means blessings, profits and mercy. Rain in
a dream also represents life, an earthly being, or fulfillment of a promise. If the
rain falls exclusively on a particular location in a dream, it means sorrow and
distress for its dwellers, or it could mean the loss of a beloved. If one sees rain
falling exclusively over his house in a dream, it means personal blessings.
Otherwise, it he sees it falling over the whole town in the dream, it means
blessings for everyone. Rain falling exclusively over one’s house in a dream also
means that someone will fall sick in that house, or suffer from a debilitating and
excruciating pain. If the skies rain stones or blood in a dream, it means
calamities and punishment for people’s sins. If it rains dust or sand in a dream,
it represents an unjust ruler in that locality. If the skies rain dirt without dust,
it also means prosperity and a good harvest. If a traveller sees rain in a dream,
it means hindrances along his journey. A destructive rainstorm in a dream
denotes dishonesty, cheating with measures, or the spread of sodomy in the
community. Seeing a destructive rainstorm tearing down structures, destroying
homes and pulling down tress in a dream represents a punishment for the
corruption and sins of the dwellers of that place. A good rain in a dream could
mean reconciliation with one’s enemy, or it could mean helping a needy person.
Rain in a dream also represents a caravan of camels, and a caravan of camels
in a dream represents rain. A good rain in a dream also means prosperity,
happiness, refilling wells with rainwater, the gushing forth of springs with
sweet, fresh and pure waters. Rain in a dream also means reviving an old and
a stagnant matter, or it could mean benefits, profits, blessings, relief from
distress, payment of debts, or feeling relief. In a dream, a good rain means
blessings, a good harvest and profits for a farmer. If the skies rain honey, butter,
oil, or food people like in the dream, it means blessings for everyone. Rain in a
dream also represent mercy from God Almighty, a helping hand, knowledge,
wisdom, the Quran, rejuvenation, revival, resurrection and life. If one sees
himself standing under a cover, a roof, or behind a wall to take shelter from a
rainfall in a dream, it means that he may suffer because of someone slandering
him. If the rain falls in season in one’s dream, it means roadblock barring
travels, business losses, inability to get medicine for a sick person because of
one’s poverty, or it could mean imprisonment. If one washes himself in the rain,
or takes a ritual ablution to perform his prayers, or washes his face with it, or
washes away filth in a dream, it means repentance from sin, receiving spiritual
guidance, or abolishing religious innovations and polytheism from one’s heart.
If he is poor, it means that God Almighty will enrich him and satisfy his needs,
or if he needed something from a ruler or a governor, it means that his request
will be answered favorably. Drinking from rainwater and if it is clear and pure
in the dream, it means receiving blessings and benefits. If the water is dirty and

(Eye makeup; Makeup) Kohl in a dream represents money and clarity. Ifone
is given some powdered kohl in a dream, it means money. If a righteous and God¬
fearing person places kohl on someone’s eyes in a dream, it means blessings and
guidance. Finding a container of kohl in a dream means receiving money.
Smearing one’s eyes with kohl in a dream means becoming more religious. If a
blind person smears his eyes with kohl in a dream, it means that he will
miraculously recover his sight. If one smears his eyes with a silver-white
powdered mixture or antimony in a dream, it means that he will have two wives.
If one coats his eyelids with butter or lather in a dream, it means that he is
pursuing an unlawful heterosexual, or a loathsome homosexual relationship.
Beautifying childrens’ eyes with other than kohl or antimony in a dream means
molesting them. If one uses kohl as medicine for his eyes in a dream, it means
that he will correct his religious performance and commit his life to a godly
cause. If his intention is made to beautify himself with kohl in the dream, it
means that he is seeking material success, or worldly promotion. If someone
smears one’s eyes with kohl to the degree of blinding him in the dream, it means
that he will defraud him of some money. If a virgin girl or a widow places kohl
over her eyelids in a dream, it means her marriage. Coating or encrusting one’s
eyes with blood or ashes in a dream means corruption and a non-acceptable

(Grinding; Pressing) Grinding or pressing nuts or
seeds to extract their oils or butter in a dream means money and prosperity.
Pressing ripe olives in a dream represents one’s homeland. Pressing olives for
their oil in a dream means relief from burdens or overcoming adversities, or it
could represent true scholars, satisfying one’s carnal desires, engaging in
wrongdoing, receiving guidance, seeing the light, walking away from darkness
into light, or it could represent one’s earnings or benefits. Pressing sesame seeds
or walnuts in a dream means prosperity and financial growth. Sesame oil in a
dream represents a pious person who admonishes people and entices them to
break their attachments to the world or to its temporary pleasures. Pressing

(Love) In a dream, honey represents lawful money, love, prosperity, or
wealth which is accumulated from a business partnership, or from a successful
business. As for a pious person, honey in a dream represents the delight of his
religious life and good deeds, while for profane and worldly people, it means
little earnings which are acquired through toiling and hardships. If one sees the
skies raining honey in a dream, it means confirmation of the social order,
fostering proper moral standards, easiness, religious assiduity, blessings and
plenitude. Honey in a dream also could represent a husband and a wife, or their
private moment, taking a rest, or engaging in a marital relationship. However,
honey in a dream also means distress, trouble, bad-temper, jealousy, or worrying
about people’s perfidy, for honey also attracts flies and wasps. Purified honey
in a dream means relief after suffering from a depression, or recovering from a
nervous breakdown, or giving birth to a child after completing a full pregnancy,
or it could mean marrying a woman after she had observed her Iddah of either
the passing of her husband or divorce ( See Iddah), or it could represent clean
money, or earnings which are purified through paying the due alms and
charities, or it could mean knowledge that is free from innovation, doubt or
suspicion, or a final guidance after which there is no heedlessness. Purified
honey in a dream also means hard earned money, a medicine, or the embrace

Kohl jar
In a dream, a kohl jar represents a woman who serves others, advises
them in managing their finances and teaches women about their religious and
spiritual role. One’s eyes in a dream represent his religious standing while the
kohl is used to beautify them or as a cure. Putting the kohl brush or stick inside
a kohl jar to extract kohl powder and apply it to his eyelid in a dream means
marriage for a single person, profits for a poor person, or knowledge for an
ignorant person. If the kohl jar contains ashes, or butter, or a foamy substance,
or feces in the dream, it means that one is seeking earnings from falsehood and
innovation. A kohl jar in a dream also may represent a coffer, lost money, a box

Cistern
In a dream, a water cistern represents a pouch, a safe, a box, a coffer, a
partner, one’s wife, a son, or knowing people’s personal secrets. If the oil cistern
is filled with water in the dream, it means stagnation of any of the above. If one
sees a water cistern filled with oil in a dream, then it means prosperity. The
cistern of a fellowship house, a khanakah or a mosque in a dream represents its
Imam or its supervising spiritual teacher or the caretaker and guard of the
property. If one sees the water cistern of the house sitting in an unsuitable place
in that house in a dream, it represents the spirit of a jinni who pursues such a
person or who may haunt his house. If one sees a well being used as a cistern
in his house in a dream, it denotes that the dwellers of that house are of the
middle class, or it could mean that the water of that house is salty or non-
potable. If one sees the cistern filled with butter or honey or milk in a dream,
it means that one’s wife is pregnant, or it could mean prosperity for that family.
If the family of such a house is thirsty in the dream, and if the cistern is filled
with other than water, then it means that they owe alms tax and must pay the
necessary charity on their assets, or it could mean that such a family has turned
its back to God’s path and preferred worldly gains instead, or that they have a
knowledge that they do not practice, or it could mean shortage of rain in that
locality that necessitates spending money on God’s path. A cistern in a dream
also could represent a protective shield or a pocket, one’s dignity, blessings or
attaining a respectable rank or dispelling difficulties. However, this interpre¬
tation can only apply for those who use a cistern or a similar water container
or a water dispenser and in their case, it also could mean peace and protection

In a dream, sesame seeds represent blessed earnings, and the
same goes for its butter or oil. Like that, in a dream, all kinds of seeds denote
lawful money. If one sees himself planting sesame seeds in a dream, it means
that he will preside over a growing business, or it could represent an expanding
trade, or a flourishing craft, happiness in one’s life, or becoming a renunciate.
The meaningof dry sesame seeds in a dream denotes greater opportunities than
the fresh ones. If the seeds are fried or sauteed, then they denote a greater evil
and hardships. Sesame seeds and mustard seeds in a dream denote good only
when seen by a physician. Otherwise, for the majority of people, seeing sesame
seeds in a dream could mean a sickness, fever, or even poison.
