If one sees himself entering someone else’s house in a dream,
it means that he will defeat him, gain the upper hand in business over him or
control his interests. To enter the house of the governor and to feel comfortable
and at ease therein in a dream means that he is soliciting the governor’s
assistance in a personal business. The coming of a just person to a house in a
dream means blessings. If an unjust person enters a place in a dream, it means
that evil and calamities will befall such a house. If it is customary for such a
person to enter that place, then no harm will incur from his coming or going. If
one sees himself entering a house of unfamiliar substance, ground or structure,
and if he meets departed souls whom he recognizes in the dream, it means that
he has entered the realms of the dead. If he sees himself going into that sphere,
then coming out of it in the dream, it means that he will near his death, then
recover from a serious illness. Entering the Sacred House in Mecca in a dream
means entering one’s house as a newlywed. (Also see Marketplace)

Marjoram
( bot. Mint; Sweet marjoram; Wild marjoram) Smelling a marjoram
plant in a dream means recovering from an illness and enjoying a good health
for that year. Planting a marjoram in a dream means begetting a healthy and
a beautiful child who will grow to possess a good character. Marjoram in a
dream also could mean marriage, or something that will not last. (Also see Mint)
Marketplace: Going to the marketplace in a dream means seeking knowledge, or
looking for work. A marketplace in a dream also represents a mosque, or
winning a war. In fact, the merchants and the customers bargain with one
another, some win and some lose. If a knowledge seeking student sees himself
in a marketplace that he does not recognize, then if he walks away from it in
the dream, it means that he will cease schooling or interrupt his studies and
fail to acquire his degree, or it could mean that he has missed his Friday
congregational prayers. It also could mean that the knowledge he is seeking is
not intended to please God Almighty. If one sees himself shoplifting in a dream,
it means that he steals, or holds contempt and conceit in his heart, or if he is
a man of knowledge, it means that he will foster falsehood or become affected.
If one sees a common marketplace on fire, or filled with people, or with a stream
of fresh water running in the middle of it, or if it is fragrant with perfumes in
the dream, then it represents good business for everyone and increase in their
profits, though hypocrisy will later on spread among the people. Otherwise, if
one finds the shops closed, the merchants drowsing and spiders webs spreading
in every corner and covering the merchandise in the dream, it means stagnation
of business or suffering major losses. Seeing the marketplace in a dream is also
interpreted to represent the world. Whatever affects it will show in people’s
lives, in their mosques, churches, or temples including their profits, losses,
clothing, recovering from illness, lies, stress, sorrows or adversities. If the
market is quiet in the dream, then it represents the laziness of its salespeople.

Door
A door in a dream represents the guardian of the house. An open doors in
a dream represents a source of income. The door of a house also represents the
wife. If the appearance of one’s door looks different from reality in a dream, it
means changes in one’s life. If it is broken or burned in the dream, it means
difficulties for the resident guardian of that house. If one sees a small door
within the main entrance door in the dream, it means that he will infringe on
the privacy of others bedroom. It also means that one’s wife may have a secret
affair, or that a betrayal may be uncovered in one’s house. If one sees lions
jumping at his door in a dream, it means that insolent people will pursue his
wife. If one sees himself seeking a door which he couldn’t find in a dream, it
means indecision. Entering a house from its main door means triumph against
one’s opposition. If the door of one’s house opens to the street in a dream, it
means that what one earns will be of benefit to strangers rather than to his own
household. The disappearing of a door in a dream means death of the head of
that household. Passing through a small door into an open space means relief
from difficulties. If one sees himself leaving his house from the main door into
a spacious green garden in a dream, it means entering the realms of the
hereafter. If one sees two ringlets or door knockers hanging at his door in a
dream, it means indebtedness to two people who are demanding to be paid. If
one sees fire burning his door in a dream, it means the death of his wife, or it
may mean his failure to properly manage that household. The gates of a city
represent a righteous governor. In a dream, the door of a house also represents
the protection it houses behind it, including one’s property, personal secrets and
family. If the door is well built in a dream, it means protection of one’s private
life. Otherwise, whatever maybe seen through such a door means exposing one’s
private life. If one sees a carpenter building him a new door, this means glad
tidings of health and wealth. If one sees himself unable to properly secure the
closing of his door in a dream, it means difficulties caused by his wife. If one sees
himself changing his door in a dream, it means moving into another house. If
one sees himself entering his house and locking his door in a dream, it means
protection against evil. (Also see Doorjamb; Door post)

Padlock
A padlock in a dream represents an employee who is treated roughly and
unfavorably. A padlock made from wood in a dream represents deceit and
hypocrisy. Locking one’s door securely in a dream means managing and controlling
one’s business in accordance with the divine laws. If one’s door does not have
a lock in a dream, it means that one has no control over which way his life goes,
and that he cares little about its consequences. Attempting to lock one’s door,
but to no avail in a dream means one’s failure to complete an important project.
Breaking a lock and entering a house in a dream represents a conqueror or
benefits that will come through such a person. A padlock in a dream also
represents a bolt, a door latch, one’s son, a handicapped wife, taking shelter
away from one’s enemy, a hidden treasure, or a burial ground. A padlock in a
dream also may denotes sorcery, concealing secrets, or hindrances obstructing
one’s travel plans. Putting a padlock on one’s door in a dream means prosperity
after suffering from poverty, or receiving honors after being humiliated. A
padlock in a dream also could represent a bastard son, or a foundling. (Also see
Close; Lock)
