Invitation
An invitation to lunch or dinner in a dream means taking a long
journey. If in the mid-afternoon, it signifies a rest or taking a break from a
troubling job. If it is an invitation to dinner in the dream, it means betraying
someone under the cover of darkness. If one sees himself planning to invite
people to a lunch or to dinner in a dream, it means that he wants to do business
with them, or perhaps enter their circles. Consequently, he will be blamed for
interfering or entering such a venture. If one sees himself hosting a dinner at
his house, and the guests have finished eating in the dream, it means that he
will preside over them. If a sick person sees such an invitation at his house in
a dream, it means that he will recover from his illness. Serving food to guests
in a dream means the returning home of a dear person from a long journey. If
one sees himself sitting at a table covered with all types of food and fruits in a
dream, it means that he will be called upon to serve his Lord and to win paradise.

Table
(Dining table) A dining table with its food ready to serve in a dream means
blessings, accepting an invitation to dinner or lunch, financial comfort, status
and winning victory over one’s enemy. In this case, one’s enemy is hunger. The
food placed on the table represents a booty. Clearing the dinner table in a dream
means cessation of comfort and blessings. The dinning table of one’s house in
a dream represents his livelihood and sustenance, an important project that
requires the help of many people, or a great person who is gracious, true and
generous. Sitting on such a table in a dream means joining the company of such
great man. If the dining table is topped with clean food and fresh bread in the
dream, it means love between friends and brethren. To have little food and
some bread on the table in a dream means lack of such love between brethren.
Accepting the invitation to share a loaf of bread with someone in a dream means
love, unity and prescribing to the prophetic traditions. If one sees one or two
dishes on his table in a dream, it means profits for oneself and sustenance for
his dependents. Having good appetite in a dream means longevity. If the dining
table is cleared after one’s meal in the dream, it denotes the conclusion of one’s
life. If a crowd of people sits on a table to partake their meal in a dream, they
represent one’s dependent. If two opponents sit on the same table in a dream,
it means war, and particularly if their is broiled meat and herbs on the table.
The dining table in the dream then represents the battlefield, and eating their
meal means fighting. A dining table in a dream also represents piety. If one
shares his meal in a dream, it means that he will meet new friends and enjoy
their company, then a conflict will rise concerning his livelihood and earnings.

charitable cause or to perform good deeds. If one invites people for a dinner and
they eat to full satisfaction in the dream, it means that he will preside over them.
Preparing a guest room in one’s house in a dream means the arrival of a long

it in a dream could have adverse meaning. Eating cooked meat in a dream means
increase in one’s wealth. Eating a meat dish with an old man in a dream means
becoming renowned, or entering the inner circle of a governor. Buying meat
from the butcher in a dream means adversities. Tender meat in a dream mean
death or backbiting. Eating the flesh of a human being in a dream means
backbiting him. Eating one’s own flesh in a dream means earning money from
one’s own sweat. If a woman eats the flesh of another woman in a dream, it
means that they are lesbians. If a woman eats her own flesh in a dream, it means
that she will commit adultery. The meat of a yellow cow in a dream means
illness. The cooked meat of a snake in a dream means receiving money from one’s
enemy. The uncooked flesh of a snake in a dream means slanderingone’s enemy.
The meat of a lion in a dream means receiving money from a ruler and the same
goes for the flesh of all predatory animals or birds. Hog or swine’s meat in a
dream means unlawful money. Eating sausages or dried meat in a dream means
speaking ill of deceased people. Camel’s meat in a dream means earning money
from a rich and a powerful enemy unless if the one seeing it does not touch it
in his dream. However, touching camel’s meat in a dream means suffering from
such a strong person. Eating it cooked in a dream means defrauding someone,
then falling sick and recovering from one’s illness. It is also said that eating
camel’s meat in a dream means earning money from a ruler. Beef in a dream
means hardships, toiling and lack of work. Holding a mutton inside one’s house
in a dream means meeting with a new person, accepting an invitation, or
inviting a person one has never met or known to share a meal. Seeing a whole
skinned but uncut mutton inside one’s house in a dream means a sudden
adversity, loss, calamity, or death. If the mutton is fat, it means that one may
receive an inheritance from a will which is left by a deceased relative. If it is
skinny, it means that one will inherit nothing from him. Eating broiled beef in
a dream means standing before a judge or a ruler. Eating a chicken in a dream
means receiving benefits from a woman. Meat in a dream also means forbearance
and patience for someone who is hot tempered, or who gets angry easily. Eating
meat in a dream also could mean recovering from an illness, an end to one’s
distress, trouble and adversities. Eating the meat of an unlawful animal in a
dream means receiving unlawful money. Eating a suspicious meat in a dream
means earning suspicious money, or having an illegitimate marriage. Eating
fowls’ meat in a dream means profits for a traveller. Eating a fish in a dream
means easy, lawful and enjoyable earnings. Cooked or broiled fowl meat in a
dream means profits and money earned from a woman through deception and
dishonesty. If it is uncooked in the dream, then it means backbiting or
slandering a woman. Eating the meat of an unlawful bird in a dream means
deceiving, defrauding, or stealing money from unjust people. Eating swan’s
meat in a dream means benefits drawn from pious and religious people. Eating
fired or broiled chicks in a dream means hard earned money. Unknown meat
in a dream represents the hidden treasures of past nations, or buried treasures.

on a ceramic plate or on a clay plate in a dream represents lawful earnings. If
food is served on a forbidden golden or silver platter in the dream, it represents
unlawful money, extensive debts, eating and chewing one’s food with desire and
gluttony. Swallowing what one is chewing means debts or collectors demanding
their money. Eating with the right hand in a dream means success. Eating with
the left hand in a dream means falling in the trap of one’s enemy and displeasing
one’s friends. Eating from someone else’s hand in a dream means good absti¬
nence and trusting in God Almighty as one’s sole sustainer. Eating from
someone else’s hand in a dream also can be interpreted as a sickness or inability
to eat with one’s own hand. Eating sweets in a dream means solving a problem
through kindness. If the food is greasy in the dream, it means that one’s problem
is a lasting one. Sour food in a dream means steadfastness. Sour food in one’s
mouth in a dream also means pain and sufferings. Yellow food in a dream means
sickness, except for fowl’s meat. Drinking food the way one drinks liquids in a
dream means increase in one’s earnings. Eating at a wedding in a dream means
glad tidings. Eating at a reception after a funeral in a dream means distress and
sorrow. Any food that has a long shelf life in a dream means profits and
continuous benefits. Meat, eggplant, squash or the like food in a dream represent
temporary benefit or seasonal earnings. Eating at the tables of royalties or rich
people in a dream means rising in rank, or renewing the mandate of one’s office.
Eating squash in a dream also means guidance, following the true religious
precepts, or it could mean vigilance. Eating food from the table of people of
knowledge in a dream means acquiring knowledge, guidance, wisdom and
blessings. Eating food from the plate of a policeman or a soldier in a dream
means committing adultery or receiving money from an unlawful source. Eating
the food of poor people or pious ones in a dream means repentance from sin or
receiving guidance. Eating the food of nomads or bedouins in a dream means
travels, rising in station or changes in one’s conditions. Eating a meal that is
cooked with meat in a dream means richness for a poor person. Eating a meal
that is cooked without meat in a dream also may mean poverty, or it could mean
devotion. If one’s meal turns into something better in the dream, it me ans
advancement in one’s spiritual life. If one’s food turns bitter or sour in the
dream, it means changing a spouse or a job. If one cookes a tasty meal in a dream,
it means attaining a high ranking job, or it could mean prospering after
suffering from a painful poverty. If someone else cooks one’s meal in the dream,
it means dealing with a treachrous person and in this case, it means that one
should fear for his life or about doing business with him, or it could mean that
he may receive a helping hand in doing his job. If one eats an unbearably hot
food in a dream, it means adversities. If one finds his mouth filled with food, and
if there is still a cavity for more food in the dream, it means confusion, or it could
represent the balance of his life in this world. If one manages to grind and
swallow the food in his mouth in a dream, it means that he will overcome his
difficulties. Receiving a sour or a bitter tasting food from someone in a dream
means hearing harsh words, and the same interpretation is given if one offers
someone sour or bitter food in a dream. If he eats it, then it means sorrow,
sadness and distress. If one finds himself eating it patiently and thanks God
Almighty for it in the dream, it means that he will escape from such dangers.
