means counting money. Counting up to the number one hundred, five thousand
or twenty thousand in a dream signifies victory against one’s enemy. Counting
up to the number seven or eight means distress or pressures. Counting up to the
number nine in a dream means adversities and joining the company of corrupt
and evil people. Counting up to the number ten in a dream means completing
a project, or it could mean attending the pilgrimage in Mecca. Counting up to
the number forty in a dream means anticipating the fulfillment of a promise.
Counting up to the number thirty in a dream means promising someone the
impossible or telling a lie. The number one in a dream signifies uniqueness,
superiority, having the leading edge in knowledge, money, prosperity, mar¬
riage, child, or it could mean languor, solitude or liking to be alone or cessation
of activities. The number one in a dream also represents the truth or God
Almighty Who has no partner, associate or equal. The number two means help

Ants
(Army) In a dream, ants represent weak and covetous people, an army, a
family, or longevity. Seeing a colony of ants entering a city in a dream means
that an army will occupy that city. A colony of ants in a dream also represents
a heavy populated area. Seeing ants over one’s bed in a dream means having
many children. If ants leave one’s house in a dream, it means that someone in
the family will leave that house. If there is a sick person in a house and one sees
ants flying in a dream, it means the death of such a person. Ants leaving their

(Azan; Muezzin) Hearing the call to prayers in a dream denotes
the pilgrimage season or announces its holy months. It also may indicate
backbiting, a theft, announcing a major move or blowing the trumpets of war,
or it could denote rank and honor or obeyed commands of the one seeing the
dream, or perhaps announcing a wife for an unmarried man, and it could mean
telling the truth. Hearing the call to prayers in a language other than the Arabic
in which it was revealed in a dream means lies and backbiting. If one sees a
woman calling to prayers, standing on the top of a minaret in a dream, it means
innovation and trials. If children give the call to prayers in a dream, it means
that people filled with ignorance will rule the land. This is particularly true
when the call is made outside the proper time. If a suitable person sees himself
adequately calling to prayers in a dream, it means that he will be appointed to
govern a land which is as vast as his voice can reach in the dream. If one does
not fit the conditions of ruling, then it means that his enemies will increase in

the heavenly angels greeting him or giving him something in the dream, it
means that his insight will grow, or that he maybe martyrized. If one sees angels
descending upon a locality that is raging with a war in a dream, it means that
the dwellers of that place will win victory. If the people are suffering from
adversities, it means that their calamities will be lifted. Flying with angels or
visiting the heavens in their company in a dream may mean that one will die
in the station of a martyr and receive God’s utmost blessings. If one feels scared
of the angels in his dream, it means that a fight, an argument or awesome trials
will befall that locality. In general, to see the angels descending from the
heavens to the earth in a dream means enfeeblement of those who have doubt,
and strength for those who have faith and certitude. If one sees the angels
prostrating to him in a dream, it means that all his needs will be satisfied and
he will be endowed with good conduct, good behavior and a blessed fame. If one
sees them looking like women in the dream, it means that he lies before God
Almighty. If a pious person sees an angel telling him in a dream: “Read God’s
Book.” It means that one will attain happiness in his life. If an impious person

he may go astray. If one sees the angels giving him glad tidings and congratulating
him in a dream, it means that he will beget a blessed son who will grow to be
righteous and an example to be followed. If one sees a gathering of angels in a
town in his dream, it means that a pious man, or an ascetic, or a great scholar
will die in that locality. If one sees himself looking at the angels in the skies in
a dream, it means that he may suffer the loss of a son or his wealth. Seeing the
celestial angels (arb. Ruhaniyyeen ) in a dream means gaining honor, dignity,
blessings in one’s life, profits and a good fame, developing spiritual inner
insight, or becoming a business manager. Near the end of one’s life, one who sees
such a dream also will suffer from people’s slander and backbiting. He will also
lose his good reputation to people’s envy and evil qualities and he will live in
tight financial conditions. If one becomes an angel in a dream, it means tat he
will receive honor, power, overcome his adversities, dispel his distress and win
his freedom, or it could mean that he will rise in station. If one sees the angels
greeting him and shaking hands with him in a dream, it means that God
Almighty will endow him with wisdom, clarity and insight. Angels in a dream
also represent one’s closest witnesses, guardians, police officers or the emissar¬
ies of a ruler. Wrestling with an angel in a dream means loss of status. Wrestling
with an angel in a dream also means suffering from distress, trouble, humili¬
ation and falling in rank. Seeing angels entering one’s house in a dream means
that a thief will burglarize such a house. If angels disarm someone in a dream,
it means that he will lose his wealth and strength, or that he may divorce his
wife. If angels offer the person a tray of fruits in the dream, it means that he
will depart from this world as a martyr. If angels curse someone in a dream, it
means that he has little care for his religion. If one sees a gathering of heavenly
angels together with the angels of hell-fire in a dream, it means enmity and
divisiveness. If a sick person sees himself struggling with an angel in a dream,
it is a sign of his death. If one sees an angel taking the form of a child in a dream,
it represents one’s future. If he sees an angel as a youth, the youth then
represents the present time and whatever events that will take place during it.
If the angel appears in the form of an old man in the dream, he represents the
past. If one sees the angels praying and asking for God’s forgiveness on his
behalf in a dream, it means that one’s spiritual and religious life will grow for
the better, and that he will become wealthy. If one sees angels descending upon
a cemetery in a dream, it signifies the presence of blessed and righteous souls
in that place. If one sees angels walking in the markets in a dream, it means that
the merchants are trifling with prices and playing with the measures. If the
angels who are in charge of punishing the sinner in hell walk before a dying
person and he does not fear them in the dream, it means peace and tranquility.
If one sees the angels teaching a dying person how to recite his final rites in a
dream, it means glad tidings and attainment of what his heart desires, a
guarantee of his safety, happiness, joy and of having a blessed and a good heart.
If he sees them angry with him or beating him or subduing and taming him in
a dream, it means that he may revert to sin, earn the displeasure of his parents,
disdain from complying with God’s commands, or he could even come to deny
the necessity of God’s religion. Such angels in a dream also represent the
emissaries of a governor or his deputies. If a dying person is told in the dream
that no angels have come to see him, then it is a testimony of his good character
and piety, or it could mean payment of one’s debts or recovering from an illness.
Angels in a dream also could represent scholars, gnostics or translators who
understand people’s languages and speak in many tongues. As for Munkar and
Nakir, the angels who come to one’s grave upon his burial to question him,
seeing them in a dream means prosperity for a poor person, and finding work

(God’s prophet Solomon, upon whom be peace.) God Almighty subju¬
gated the wind to serve the prophet Solomon. Seeing him (uwbp) in a dream
denotes leadership, the seat of a judge, acquiring wisdom, or giving religious
interpretations if the person who sees him in a dream qualifies. This vision
becomes stronger if the Prophet Solomon crowns the person, or places a ring on
his right hand, or sits him beside himself on his throne. Seeing him (uwbp) in
a dream also means overcoming adversities and hardships, and receiving a
divine endowment of an exalted station in this world, and greater blessings in
the hereafter. Seeing him (uwhp) in a dream also means trials with women and
ingratitude on their part. If the person who sees God’s prophet Solomon in a
dream is a governor, it means that he will be dismissed from his functions,
though his authority will be restored later on, or he could through cheating,
marry a rich woman. If the one who sees God’s prophet Solomon in a dream
practices sorcery, witchcraft, black magic, or invoking jinn or evil spirits, it
means that he will profit from his trade and become wealthy after having lost
hope in attaining such benefits, or he could triumph over his enemy. Whoever
sees God’s prophet Solomon (uwbp) in his dream will receive God’s favors,
including clear visions, clarity of religious interpretations, the ability to learn
many languages, or he could become a translator, or perhaps could master the
Arabic language. Seeing Solomon in a dream also means that one will recover
from an illness. If one gets hold of Solomon’s staff in a dream, it means that he
will engage in slander or calumny, and if he is sick, it means his death. Seeing
or finding Solomon’s ring in a dream means renewing one’s term of leadership,
or a manifestation of a great and a confounding wonder that will bewilder
people. If a woman sees God’s prophet Solomon (uwbp) in a dream, it means that
she will deceive her husband. Seeing him (uwbp) in a dream also means that one
may acquire knowledge about herbal medicine. If one sees him laying dead on
his bed in a dream, it means that the calif, an army commander, a leader, or a
man of knowledge will die in that locality and whose death will remain
undetected, or undisclosed for sometime. Seeing him (uwbp) in a dream also
means increase in one’s travels, supremacy over one’s enemy and subjugation

tongue represents his translator or his business manager. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents the chief cause of sin. Moving one’s tongue without
speaking in a dream means committing a sin. Seeing an increase in size, width,
or length of one’s tongue in a dream means strength and overcoming one’s
enemy. If one’s tongue becomes elongated with no cause for dispute or argument
in a dream, it means having a bad tongue, or backbiting others, speaking ill
about others, or using base and despicable language. Having a long tongue in
a dream also could mean clarity in one’s speech and eloquence in one’s expressions.
Having two tongues in a dream means acquiring a second language or a second
trade, using a proof other than one’s own in a court of justice, or winning victory
over one’s enemy. If one finds his tongue tied in a dream, it means stagnation
of his business, or it could mean poverty. If black hair grows over one’s tongue
in a dream, it means a fast coming evil. If gray hair grows over one’s tongue in

someone’s right, refute the truth, or lie about a trust he received to keep for a
time. Eating one’s tongue or biting on it in a dream represents an act one will
regret. If a governor sees that in a dream, it means that he swindles people’s
money and receives bribes. Biting on one’s tongue in a dream also means
remaining mostly silent, withholding one’s advice, or controlling one’s fury and
anger. Biting one’s tongue in a dream also could denote gluttony. Cutting off
one’s tongue in a dream means invalidating one’s argument or proof, or
preventing him from asking for anything. The cutting off of a poet’s tongue in
a dream means giving him money for his recitation. Seeing one’s tongue black
in a dream means that one may preside over his own people. If he is a wretched
person, it means that he is a liar. If someone who is scared of something sees

is split in half in a dream, it means that he is a liar. Having many tongues and
of many colors in a dream means telling different and contradictory stories, or
it could represent a music writer. If people touch one’s tongue or suck it in a
dream, it means that they are acquiring his knowledge. It also represents people
toadying or lobbying in official business. One's tongue in a dream also repre¬
sents a hidden treasure, a hidden knowledge, a toadying servant, an employee,
one’s house, a vehicle, a skilled enemy, a seedling of a fruit bearing tree, a bad
wife, a barren woman, one’s spoken and irretrievable words, earnings, collecting
garbage, following someone’s traces, a policeman, or a prisoner. An animal’s
tongue in a dream represents one’s life or death, because for an animal, his
tongue is like a hand through which he takes things. If a scholar’s tongue is cut
off in a dream, it means that he will lose his argument, or it could mean the death
of his assistant, student or son. Losing one’s tongue in a dream represents the
malicious joy of one’s enemy, family, or neighbors for one’s losses, or it could
mean the death of a beloved, severing a relationship, or a plant disease that will
affect one’s fruit bearing trees. Perhaps losing one’s tongue in a dream could
mean separation between husband and wife, divorce, losing one’s job, or moving
to a new town. Having two tongues in a dream also means backbiting others,
or having two faces with people, for people say that so-and so has two tongues

the dream, then it denotes his truthfulness, love and affection toward others.
One’s tongue in a dream also may represent something one fears, such as the
collapsing of a roof over his head, or it could represent an enemy. It also means
isolating oneself from people of knowledge and wisdom, or it could mean
remaining mostly silent, minding one’s own business, or offering devotion and
being grateful to God Almighty for His gifts and blessings. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents a captured prisoner of war, or a snake hiding in its pit.

(Padlock) In a dream, a lock represents a trustworthy person or a virgin girl.
Opening a padlock in a dream means escaping from jail, or release from prison.
If one who is suffering from depression sees himself unlocking a padlock in a
dream, it means that his sorrows or sadness will be dispelled. A lock in a dream
also represents a proof, a strong point or a tool. Unlocking a padlock in a dream
also means divorce. Locking a door in a dream means seeking a cosigner for a
loan or a guarantor. If one who is seeking to get married sees a lock in his dream,
it means that he will meet with a trustworthy and a caring woman. A padlock
for a traveller in a dream means safety. A metal lock in a dream means dignity,

(Straight razor) In a dream, a straight razor represents a son. If one causes
