a business from which one will acquire great knowledge, or it could mean profits
or success in whatever trade one chooses to practice. If one sees himself in a court
of justice reciting poems for money in the dream, it means that he will give a
false testimony. If he recites a poem for a gathering in a dream, it means that
he will relate a wise saying, though he himself inclines to hypocrisy. If one sees
himself listening to a poem in a dream, it means that he will associate himself
with a group of people who do not foster the truth. In a dream, poems also
represent falsehood or vain talk. Reciting a poem or listening to one and
memorizing its verses in a dream means that one should take heed to what it
says. If the poem one is listening to in his dream contains wisdom or a divine
revelation, then it does mean good. Composing a poem, or memorizing it in a
dream also means losing one’s status, dismissal from one’s job, weakness in
one’s religious adherence, suffering from depression, adversities, suffering from
slander by one’s enemy, or it could represent a crafty ploy. If one composes a
defamatory poem or a satirical poem in a dream, it means that he slanders
others for fun or profit. If it is lauding someone, then it means that he will
become poor. If he sings his poem with a melody in the dream, it represents a
satirical attitude toward someone, doubt about someone, or failure to complete

tridge; Woman) In a dream, a mountain quail represents a thief, a confidant,
or a pimp who secretly conducts his business of soliciting clients for his
prostitutes. However, a quail in a dream also represents a blessed food, an
answer to one’s prayers, repelling a calamity, or overcoming an adversity. In
dream interpretation, a quail also could represent a double-faced person. If a
hobbyist finds himself seeking to hear the cry of a quail in a dream, it means
profits from suspicious sources, or earnings made from reciting poems, singing,
gambling, or it could mean squandering money. In this sense, seeing a quail in
a dream could represent a crime which is punishable by death or life imprison¬

(Artist; Illustrator) In a dream, a painter represents knowledge, archi¬
tecture, wisdom, writing poems, writing love songs or telling lies. A painter in
a dream also represents someone who conceals his acts, or hides his true face.
He also could represent alcoholism, falling in love, marriage, or having children.
Some of the painter’s works are beneficial while others are harmful. All
depending on the quality of his work, its objectives, balance, resemblance to the
object painted and authenticity. The characteristics of such a person in the
dream may be that of a hypocrite in wakefulness, or an ostentatious person, a
toadying person, a hypocrite, a panegyrist, or a lauding person, though he
mostly looks as a good, sincere and a hard working person. The value of his
paintings varies depending on the subject treated. A painter in a dream also
represents a person who loves flattery, self-adulation, an eloquently speaking
person, a liar, one who fails his promises, or he could represent strength and

prosperity, a beautiful wife, respectable people, class, servants, or properties.
If a poor person sees the floor of his house covered with marble in a dream, it
means prosperity, marriage, purchasing a business, acquiring knowledge,
learning a poem, bearing righteous children, or if he qualifies, it could mean
that he will receive a high ranking appointment, or that he may actually work
with marble, or in sculpturing marble or in manufacturing fountains from
marble, or work in masonry, or as a stone cutter, or he may change his attitude
toward things, signaling the end of depression and the start of a joyful time in
his life, living in high rises, or spending money for leisure and vacations. If one
sees gravestones made of marble, or if one sees marble pillars in a dream, it
means a good reward for one’s deeds, or it could mean eulogy, or lauding. An
architecturally sound edifice made from marble in a dream represents good
writing, skillfulness, dowry or a generous prenuptial agreement. If the marble
is used excessively in the dream, it means suspicion and doubt about one’s
resources or source of income. The marble bases of a pillar in a dream

Studies) Papers in a dream represent witnesses, guidance, spiritual leaders,
knowledge, warnings, or glad tidings. Holding papers in a dream means glad
tidings and celebration. If a woman hands someone a piece of paper in a dream,
then one may expect good news to arrive from one moment to another. If the
woman who hands him the paper covers herself with a veil in the dream, it
means that he should be careful. Carrying a folded piece of paper in a dream
means that one may have an accident that could be the cause of his death. If one
sees himself carrying a paper in his left hand in a dream, it means that he regrets
something he did. Writing a paper with the left hand in a dream means writing
poem, or committing abominable actions, or that one will beget a son from
adultery. If a God fearing person sees himself looking at a paper written in a
language he cannot decipher in a dream, it means that he will face humiliation
or suffer from distress. If one is offered a wrapping paper and he finds a newborn
baby wrapped inside it in a dream, it means that he will hire a servant with some
strings attached to his employment. If one is given a newspaper, or a document
but does not care to read it in his dream, it means that he may receive an
inheritance. If one reads the title page of a newspaper in a dream, it also means
that he may receive an inheritance. If he quickly browses through it in his

Poet
(Charmer; Poet; Reciting) A poet reciting his verses in a dream represents
a man who brings peace to people’s hearts, entertains them and dispels anger
from their hearts if God’s name is mentioned in his poem. If he does not mention
the name of God Almighty in the dream, then his words may be baseless and
false. A poet in a dream also represents someone who pieces together a
conversation, or who embellishes his words with lies, or who deceives people by
giving them bad advice, encourages them to do wrong and to abstain from what
is right, or misleads them with deceptive words. In general, seeing a poet in a
dream means concoctions, lies, adultery, alcoholism, greed, or someone who
writes poems for money and fame. If the person seeing the dream memorizes
poetic verses containing words of wisdom, or verses glorifying God Almighty, or
praising His Messenger upon whom be peace, or if one becomes a poet who
recites such poems in the dream, it means that he will acquire knowledge,
status, honor and receive guidance. In a dream, a poet also represents a seducer

Tongue
(Interpreter; Pen; Speech writer; Stinger; Translator) In a dream, one’s
tongue represents his translator or his business manager. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents the chief cause of sin. Moving one’s tongue without
speaking in a dream means committing a sin. Seeing an increase in size, width,
or length of one’s tongue in a dream means strength and overcoming one’s
enemy. If one’s tongue becomes elongated with no cause for dispute or argument
in a dream, it means having a bad tongue, or backbiting others, speaking ill
about others, or using base and despicable language. Having a long tongue in
a dream also could mean clarity in one’s speech and eloquence in one’s expressions.
Having two tongues in a dream means acquiring a second language or a second
trade, using a proof other than one’s own in a court of justice, or winning victory
over one’s enemy. If one finds his tongue tied in a dream, it means stagnation
of his business, or it could mean poverty. If black hair grows over one’s tongue
in a dream, it means a fast coming evil. If gray hair grows over one’s tongue in
a dream, then it means a slow coming adversity. Hair growing over one’s tongue
in a dream also means writing or reciting a poem. One’s tongue in a dream also
represents the perfect alibi, the beauty and eloquence of one’s presentation, a
professional presentation, good fame and good conduct. If a governor’s tongue
is cut off in a dream, it means the death of his interpreter or his speech writer.
The human tongue in a dream also represents his pen and his signing authority.
If one’s tongue becomes long and reaches the skies in a dream, it means that he
will be impeached or deposed from his leadership position following his tyranny
and injustices. If the tongue of a leader or a ruler becomes long in a dream, it
also signifies the expansion of his power and the infallibility and effectiveness
of his commands. One’s tongue in a dream also symbolizes a milk sucklingbaby,
a lion in his den, or an intelligent warrior. Thus, if one lets a lion out of a lair
in a dream, it denotes his tongue, or hurting people’s feeling or reputation with
one’s tongue. If one sees himself without a tongue in a dream, it may mean the
death of an infant. If one has to appear in court and sees his tongue cut off in
a dream, it means that his proof will be rejected by the judge. If only the side
of one’s tongue is cut off in a dream, it means that he has doubts about the
testimony of his witness. If he is a merchant, it means that he will lose an
important business deal. If he is a student, it means that he will not complete
his schooling. It is also said that when one’s tongue is cut off in a dream, it means
that he is a forbearing person. If the wife’s tongue is cut off in a dream it means
that she is a chaste and a pious woman. If a wife cuts off the tongue of her
husband in a dream, it means that she will flirt with him and show him
tenderness and love. Cutting off the tongue of a poor person in a dream means
giving something to an impudent person to shun off his evil. If a poor person cuts
off the tongue of another poor person in a dream, it means a fight between them.
If one’s tongue sticks to his palate in a dream, it means that he will deny or reject
someone’s right, refute the truth, or lie about a trust he received to keep for a
time. Eating one’s tongue or biting on it in a dream represents an act one will
regret. If a governor sees that in a dream, it means that he swindles people’s
money and receives bribes. Biting on one’s tongue in a dream also means
remaining mostly silent, withholding one’s advice, or controlling one’s fury and
anger. Biting one’s tongue in a dream also could denote gluttony. Cutting off
one’s tongue in a dream means invalidating one’s argument or proof, or
preventing him from asking for anything. The cutting off of a poet’s tongue in
a dream means giving him money for his recitation. Seeing one’s tongue black
in a dream means that one may preside over his own people. If he is a wretched
person, it means that he is a liar. If someone who is scared of something sees
his tongue in a dream, it means that he will lose his battle and become subject
to defamation and humiliation. If a wretched person sees himself having many
tongues in a dream, it means that he will have a large family. Having many
tongues in a dream also means speaking many foreign languages. If one’s tongue
is split in half in a dream, it means that he is a liar. Having many tongues and
of many colors in a dream means telling different and contradictory stories, or
it could represent a music writer. If people touch one’s tongue or suck it in a
dream, it means that they are acquiring his knowledge. It also represents people
toadying or lobbying in official business. One's tongue in a dream also repre¬
sents a hidden treasure, a hidden knowledge, a toadying servant, an employee,
one’s house, a vehicle, a skilled enemy, a seedling of a fruit bearing tree, a bad
wife, a barren woman, one’s spoken and irretrievable words, earnings, collecting
garbage, following someone’s traces, a policeman, or a prisoner. An animal’s
tongue in a dream represents one’s life or death, because for an animal, his
tongue is like a hand through which he takes things. If a scholar’s tongue is cut
off in a dream, it means that he will lose his argument, or it could mean the death
of his assistant, student or son. Losing one’s tongue in a dream represents the
malicious joy of one’s enemy, family, or neighbors for one’s losses, or it could
mean the death of a beloved, severing a relationship, or a plant disease that will
affect one’s fruit bearing trees. Perhaps losing one’s tongue in a dream could
mean separation between husband and wife, divorce, losing one’s job, or moving
to a new town. Having two tongues in a dream also means backbiting others,
or having two faces with people, for people say that so-and so has two tongues
or two faces. If the second tongue does not impede the person from speaking in
the dream, then it denotes his truthfulness, love and affection toward others.
One’s tongue in a dream also may represent something one fears, such as the
collapsing of a roof over his head, or it could represent an enemy. It also means
isolating oneself from people of knowledge and wisdom, or it could mean
remaining mostly silent, minding one’s own business, or offering devotion and
being grateful to God Almighty for His gifts and blessings. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents a captured prisoner of war, or a snake hiding in its pit.

(The Glorious Throne of God Almighty.) Seeingthe Divine Throne
of God Almighty in its perfect form means blessings, glad tidings and correct¬
ness of one’s faith. If one sees the Divine Throne missing one of its attributes
in a dream, it means heedlessness and innovation. Seeing the Glorious Throne
of God Almighty in a dream may entail whatever good or evil destiny one may
go through. Seeing the Divine Throne in a dream also means receiving a high
ranking position or assuming a noble function, if one qualifies, or it could
represent one’s wife, house, vehicle, victory over his enemy, writing poems, or
doing good deeds for the one who sees it in its perfect, radiant and glorious
manifestation. If one sees the Divine Throne, and ifhe sees God Almighty sitting
on it in a dream, it denotes his faith, certitude, determination and correct
religious adherence. If one sees himself sitting upon the Divine Throne and his
Lord sittingunder it in a dream, and if one qualifies for governing, then it means
that he will oppress the religious scholars, show arrogance and spread evil on
earth. If one does not qualify for governing, then it means that he will become
a disobedient son to his parents, oppose his teacher, rebel against his superior,
issue a verdict without knowledge, commit aggression against others, or ifhe

Wadi
(Valley) Seeing a ravine or a valley with a dry watercourse in a dream means
going on a tiering trip, taking a longjourney, or it could represent an intractable
person. Seeing a wadi in a dream denotes good deeds, or making offerings to
please God Almighty. A wadi in a dream also represents its dwellers, a tribe from
that region, or its plantations. If one sees the wadi blossoming with fruit trees,
fragrant flowers, a running water course, or if one hears nice words during such
a dream, it means that he will rise in station, or mingle with people in power,
or receive an appointment in the government, and for a righteous person, it
means that miraculous events and blessings will be shown at his hands by God’s
leave. Seeing a wadi in a dream also means rain, and that the ravine will be filled
with rainwater. A wadi in a dream also could represent a prison because of the
steep mountains surrounding it and the difficulty in crossing it. Seeing oneself
in a wadi floating in the air until one reaches a desired altitude in a dream means
working for a powerful person. A wadi in a dream also represents a warrior, a
bandit, a highway robber or a lion. If a wadi obstructs one’s journey in a dream,
it may represent a robbery, heavy rain, or having to face a dangerous person.
If one is not travelling, then it means distress, adversity, harm, imprisonment,
fear, or illness. Crossing a wadi in the wintertime in a dream means escaping
from danger. Digging a wadi in a dream means the death of a family member.
Falling into a steep wadi in a dream and feeling no pain or incurring no harm
from it in a dream means that one will receive a gift from someone in authority
or from his superior. Inhabiting a valley with no vegetation in a dream means
performing one’s pilgrimage to Mecca. To wander aimlessly in a wadi in a dream

Pebbles
In a dream, pebbles represent men, women, little children, or counted
money. They also mean memorizing a book of knowledge, understanding it,
knowing it by heart, or writing poems. They also mean performing one’s
pilgrimage to Mecca and pelting stones in the valley of Mina at a placed called
Jamarat. Pelting stones in a dream also means harshness, toughness, slander,
or youth. Collecting pebbles for pelting from a marketplace, a street, under the
trees, or in a farmland in a dream means receiving financial benefits. Collecting
pebbles at the foot of a tree in a dream means receiving a gift from a person in
authority, or profits from the sea, learning at the hand of a good teacher, a gift
from a wealthy wife, or they could mean the birth of a son if one does not have
a son. Throwing pebbles in the sea in a dream means wasting one’s money.
Throwing pebbles in a well in a dream means benefiting from a marriage or a

delivering sermons.

Satan
Seeing the accursed one in a dream means evil, sin, lying, stealing,
jealousy, sorcery, separation between husband and wife, disdain from performing
one’s prayers, or it could mean preaching falsehood. Seeing the accursed one in
a dream also means propagation of an invented world or ideas. If in a dream one
becomes Satan, it is interpreted as loosing one’s sight. If one kills Satan in a
dream, it means that he will deceive and conquer a deceiver and an evil person.
In a dream, the accursed Satan also represents an enemy of the body and the
soul. He deceives, cheats, disbelieves, as well as he is ungrateful, jealous,
capricious, arrogant, heedless, impetuous, or he could represent a leader, a
minister, a judge, a policeman, a man of knowledge, a preacher, a hypocrite, or
one’s own family and children. Seeing Satan in a dream also means villainy, dirt,
passion and sexual devilry. If one sees Satan attacking him in a dream, it means
that he earns his money from usury. If Satan touches him in a dream, it means
that someone is slandering or trying to deceive his wife. If one is sick or under
stress, and if he sees Satan touching him in a dream, it means that he will put
his hand on material wealth. If one is suffering from the consequences of devilry
while he recognizes his trials and remains steadfast in remembering God
Almighty and calling upon Him for help in a dream, it means that he has many
enemies tryingto deceive him or to destroy him, though they will eventually fail,
and in turn, they will be defeated by God’s leave. If one sees Satan following him
in a dream, it means that an enemy is pursuing him to deceive him, and
consequently one will lose his status, rank and the benefits of his knowledge.
If one sees himself inwardly talking with Satan in a dream, it means that he will
join hands with his own enemy, and his strike will be against the righteous
people, though he will ultimately fail. If one sees Satan teaching him something
in a dream, it means that he will fabricate a story, speak falsehood, or recite
poems filled with lies. If one sees that Satan has descended upon him in a dream,
it means that he engages in falsehood and sin. If one sees himself presiding over
a band of satans, controlling them, commanding them, and if they obey him in
the dream, it means that he will receive a seat of honor and he will be feared
by his friend and foes. If one ties Satan with chains in a dream, it means that
he will win victory in his life together with might and fame. If one sees himself
deceived by a group of satans in a dream, it means that he will suffer financial
losses or lose his job. If Satan strips someone from his clothing in a dream, it
means that the latter will lose a battle to an enemy. If one sees Satan whispering
something in his ear in dream, it means that he will be dismissed from his job.
If one sees himself defying and fighting Satan in a dream, it means that he is
a true and a strong believer who obeys his Lord and who holds fast to his
religious obligations. If Satan frightens him in a dream, it means that the latter
is a sincere deputy and a protege of God Almighty, and that God will safeguard
him from any fear of the accursed Satan or his army. If one sees a meteor or a
flame shooting at Satan in the skies in a dream, it means that there is an enemy
of God Almighty in that locality. If that person is a ruler, then his secrets will
be exposed, and if he is ajudge, it means that a just punishment will befall him
for his injustice. If one sees Satan happy in a dream, it means that he engages
in sensuality, passion and loathsome actions. In general, Satan is a weak enemy,
if one sees himself fighting him with resoluteness in a dream, it shows that he
is a religious and a pious person. If Satan swallows someone or penetrates inside
his body in dream, it means a fright, losses and sufferings. Satan in a dream also
represents builders or ocean divers who work as spies. Seeing them in a dream
also could mean backbiting or slandering. If one sees himself as a Satan in a
dream, it means that he constantly frowns with people and that he is quick to
harm them, or that he may work at cleaning sewers, or perhaps he may perish
in a fire, or die as a heedless person.
