( arb. Testimonial greetings) The last segment of the regular Islamic
prayers which is recited in a sitting posture. Once completed, one may ask for
his personal needs or pray for others. If one reaches this segment of his prayer
in a dream, it represents a condition or an agreement that must be fulfilled
between two partners, or it could mean finding a guardian for one’s intended
wife (i.e., her father, uncle, brother, etcetera), without whom the marriage is not
legitimate. Reciting the Taliayyat in a dream also means bartering material
property for spiritual gains.

Quail
(A mountain short-winged and a stout-bodied bird; Mountain quail; Par¬
tridge; Woman) In a dream, a mountain quail represents a thief, a confidant,
or a pimp who secretly conducts his business of soliciting clients for his
prostitutes. However, a quail in a dream also represents a blessed food, an
answer to one’s prayers, repelling a calamity, or overcoming an adversity. In
dream interpretation, a quail also could represent a double-faced person. If a
hobbyist finds himself seeking to hear the cry of a quail in a dream, it means
profits from suspicious sources, or earnings made from reciting poems, singing,
gambling, or it could mean squandering money. In this sense, seeing a quail in
a dream could represent a crime which is punishable by death or life imprison¬
ment.

Bismillah
(arb.) Calling the Name of God Almighty in a dream means blessed
tidings. Bismillah in a dream also represents attainment, knowledge, guidance
and wealth. Reciting the formula: ‘Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem’ (In the Name
of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate ) in a dream also means living to see
one’s children and grand children. It also means recovering a lost article.
Bismillah in a dream also means placing the intention to get married, tidings of
a good progeny, and receiving guidance after heedlessness. If one writes down
such a call: ‘In the Name of God’ with a beautiful handwriting in his dream, it
means that he will receive wealth and recognition in his field of knowledge. If
a deceased person writes it in one’s dream, it means that such a person dwells
encompassed with God’s mercy. If the one who wrote it in the dream is alive and
if he erases it or if a bird steals it from him in the dream, it means the nearing
of his death and exhaustion of his sustenance in this world. If one recites it
during his prayers in a dream when it is not his custom to do so, it means
borrowing an unnecessary amount of money or giving preference to leaning
toward one’s mother rather than his father or the opposite.

Poet
(Charmer; Poet; Reciting) A poet reciting his verses in a dream represents
a man who brings peace to people’s hearts, entertains them and dispels anger
from their hearts if God’s name is mentioned in his poem. If he does not mention
the name of God Almighty in the dream, then his words may be baseless and
false. A poet in a dream also represents someone who pieces together a
conversation, or who embellishes his words with lies, or who deceives people by
giving them bad advice, encourages them to do wrong and to abstain from what
is right, or misleads them with deceptive words. In general, seeing a poet in a
dream means concoctions, lies, adultery, alcoholism, greed, or someone who
writes poems for money and fame. If the person seeing the dream memorizes
poetic verses containing words of wisdom, or verses glorifying God Almighty, or
praising His Messenger upon whom be peace, or if one becomes a poet who
recites such poems in the dream, it means that he will acquire knowledge,
status, honor and receive guidance. In a dream, a poet also represents a seducer

Hole
(Deception; Plot; Profits; Fall) Digging a hole, a water well, or an irrigation
and planning to water the plants with them in a dream means attending one’s
needs and serving the interests of his family. Eating from the dirt one piles from
digging in his dream represents a swagger, or someone who acquires money
through deception. Seeing oneself inside a hole in a dream also means divorce.
To see oneself outside of such a hole looking at it in a dream means having an
argument with one’s spouse that will end in reconciliation. If a sick person or
a prisoner sees himself coming out of a hole in a dream, it means that he will
become free from his trials. Falling into a hole and crying for help to no avail
in a dream means taking a short trip. A hole in a dream also represents a poor
woman who strives to cover others pitfalls, though she cannot veil her own.
Hiding inside a hole in a dream also means appeasement of one’s fears, or ending
of one’s adversities. If while hiding, one finds food, or fresh water, or a cloth to
cover himself in the dream, it means profiting from sources one does not
anticipate, or making peace with an opponent. To put a hole in one’s shoe in a

Holy Book: (Quran; The Last Revelation) In a dream, the Holy Book, or the Quran
represents a king or a judge who deals with Islamic jurisprudence. If a king, a
ruler, or a judge sees that the Holy Book does no longer exist, or if he sees it
burning, or if its contents are washed away in a dream, it means his death. If
one sees a ruler or a governor handwriting a copy of the Holy Book in a dream,
it means that he is a just person who uses the divine laws in making his decision.
If a judge sees himself handwritings copy of the Holy Book in a dream, it means
that he does not share his knowledge, and that he is audacious about his rank
and status. If a religious scholar or a theologian sees himself writing a copy of
Holy Book in a dream, it means that he will profit from a business deal. If one
sees a king, or a ruler swallowing the Holy Book in a dream, it means that he
may die soon. If a judge swallows the Holy Book in a dream, it means that he
accepts bribes. If a ruler sees himself erasing what is written in the Holy Book
in a dream, it means that he will be exiled. If a judge erases what is written in
the Holy Book in a dream, it also means his death. If he erases it by licking it
with his own tongue in a dream, it means that he will commit an awful sin. If
a witness erases it in a dream, it means that he will deny his own testimony.
Carrying the Holy Book, or buying a copy of the Quran in a dream means living
by its criterion. Reading from the Holy Book before God’s Prophet, upon whom
be peace, in a dream means that one will commit himself to memorizing it.
Eating the pages of the Holy Book in a dream means accepting bribes. If a
layman eats the pages of the Holy Book, or few lines from some pages in a dream,
it means that he earns his livelihood from reciting the Holy Quran or teaching
it. Eating the pages of the Holy Book in a dream also means earning one’s
livelihood from copying and selling it. Seeing the Holy Book in a dream also
mans growing in wisdom. Handwriting copies of the Holy Book in a dream
denotes one’s piety, or it could represent a religious scholar who lives by the
book, act by its commands and shares his knowledge with others. Tearing off the
pages of the Holy Book in a dream means ingratitude toward God’s revelations,
or denying God’s favors, or questioning some of them. If one does something to
the Holy Book in his dream that he would abhor to do in wakefulness, it means
that he has lost his religious devotion and faith. Carrying a copy of the Holy Book
in a dream means attaining power and acquiring knowledge. The Holy Book in
a dream also represents a husband, a wife, a son, or wealth. If a sick person sees
it in his dream, it means that he will recover from his illness. If the one who sees
it in his dream is facing an enemy, it means that he will triumph over him. If
he is a sinner, it means that he will repent of his sins and turn to his Lord, or
it could mean that he may receive an inheritance. If one sees himself following
innovations and he recognizes that in his sleep, his dream denotes a warning
from God Almighty. Seeing the Holy Book in a dream also could mean seeing
wonders, witnessing a miracle, hearing news, receiving happy news, or it could
mean longevity for one who browse through it from cover to cover in his dream.
The Holy Book in a dream also represents gardens, heavens, places of worship,
or a person one is commanded to obey, such as a ruler, or a father, a mother, one’s
teacher, or shaikh, or it could mean making a true oath, receiving glad tidings,
admonition or a warning. Seeing the Holy Book or any of the early divine
revelations in a dream means that one may preside over people. If one sees
himself carrying the Holy Book, or even any book of revelations, and if when he
opens it finds the pages blank with no writing inside it in the dream, it means
that he portrays himself to be what he is not, or that he impersonates a scholar,
or pretends to be religious. Kissing the Holy Book in a dream means revering
what it contains and adhering to what it commands. If one looks into the pages
of the Holy Book and finds its lines crooked in a dream, it means that he lives
satisfied with what he has, and fulfills his required duties accordingly. Stealing
a copy of the Holy Book and hiding it in a dream means that one cheats in
performing his own prayers, or fails to do them properly. If one sees himself
looking in the Holy Book, then writing from what he is reading on his own
garment in the dream, it means that he interprets the Quranic revelation
according to his own liking. If one sees a Holy Book sitting in his lap, then if a
chick comes and picks all the words written therein in a dream, it means that
one will beget a child who will memorize and read the Holy Quran as an
inheritance, and benefit from the piety of his father, and as a trust, a lawful
earning and a source of strength in his life. Buying a copy of the Holy Book in
dream means benefits, prosperity and becoming a renowned and a distinguished
religious scholar. If the Holy Book is snatched away from someone’s hands in
a dream, it means that he will lose his knowledge, or perhaps lose his employment.
If one sees himself spreading the pages of the Holy Book on a flat surface in a
dream, it means that he is seeking wisdom which he will get, or that he may
receive an inheritance. If one sees himself putting the Holy Book over his
shoulders in a dream, it means that he will receive an appointment, or be
entrusted with a duty to guard, or that he will memorize the Holy Quran. If one
finds himself trying to eat the pages of the Holy Book in a dream, it means that
he is a regular reader of the Quran. If one sees himself trying to eat the pages
of the holy Book but is unable to do so in a dream, it means that he tries to
memorize the Holy Quran from time to time but keeps forgetting what he

Quran
(Garden; Holy Book; The Last Revelation) In a dream, the holy Quran
represents a garden because when one looks at it, it looks like a beautiful garden
and its verses are the fruit of knowledge and wisdom the reader can pluck.
Learning a Quranic verse, a saying of God’s Prophet (uwbp), a prophetic
tradition, or a craft in a dream means richness after poverty, or guidance after
heedlessness. If one sees himself in a dream reading from the pages the holy
Quran, it signifies honor, command, happiness and victory. Reciting the Quran
by heart and without reading the pages of the holy Book in a dream means
proving to be true, or having a true claim, being pious, commanding what is good
and forbidding what is evil. If one is told a verse from the holy Quran in a dream,
he should understand it, memorize it and comply with the same. If the verse
reads about mercy or glad tidings or other admonitions in the dream, the
interpretation of one’s dream should be the same. If the Quranic verses recited
in the dream connote an advice, one should act upon it in order for him to reap
its benefits. If one hears a Quranic verse containing a warning, promising
punishment for the disbelievers, or announcing a swift retribution for their sins,
then one should immediately repent for his sins, even if the verses relate to
previous nations or times. If one sees himself reciting the Quran and under¬
standing what it says in a dream, it denotes his vigilance, intelligence, faith and
spiritual awareness. If a Quranic verse is recited to someone, and if he does not
agree with the divine judgement in the dream, it means that he will suffer harm
from someone in authority, or that a punishment from God Almighty will soon
befall him. If an unlettered person sees himself reading the holy Quran in a
dream, it could also mean his death, or his reading of his own records. If one sees
himself reading the holy Quran without true interest in it in a dream, it means
that he follows his own mind, personal interpretations and innovations. If one
sees himself eating the pages of the holy Quran in a dream, it means that he
earns his livelihood from his knowledge of it. If one sees himself completing the
reading of the entire Quran in a dream, it means that a splendid reward from
his Lord is awaiting him, and that he will get whatever he asks for. If a
disbeliever sees himself reading the holy Quran in a dream, the verses of
admonition will help him in his life, the verses of punishment will be his warning
from God Almighty and the parables will denote his need to contemplate the
meaning. If one sees himself writing the verses of the holy Quran on slabs of
a mother of pearl, or on a piece of cloth in a dream, it means that he interprets
it according to his own liking. If one sees himself inscribing a Quranic verse on
the ground in a dream, it means that he is an atheist. It is also said that reading
the Quran in a dream means fulfillment of one’s needs, clearing of one’s heart
and establishment of one’s success in his life. If one discovers that he has
memorized the Quran in a dream, though in wakefulness he has not memorized
it, it means that he will own a large property. Hearing the verses of the holy
Quran in a dream means the strengthening of one’s power, reaching a praiseworthy
end to his life, and that one will be protected from the envy and jealousy of
evildoing people. If a sick person sees himself reciting a verse from the holy
Quran, but could not remember to what chapter it belongs in the dream, it
means that he will recover from his illness. Licking the holy Quran in a dream
means that one has committed a major sin. Reciting the holy Quran in a dream

(Hymn; Remembrance of God; Songs of God’s love; Supplications) If one sees
himself in a dream participating in a circle of people remembering God Al¬
mighty, or calling upon His most beautiful name, or invoking His divine
attributes, or reading the Quran, or reciting devotional songs, it means that
such location will be built as a holy place to celebrate God’s praises. The
goodness of that place depends on the quality of reading, or the degree of
devotion seen in the dream. When it is an ascetic song in the dream, it means
that one’s deputyship is established correctly, but if one sees himself singing
a sensual love song, then it means temptations. If one sees himself repeatedly
calling God’s name in a dream, it means that he will win victory over his enemy.
Calling people to God and reminding them of His attributes in a dream
represents the work of a preacher who admonishes people, helps them to the
shore of safety, and distances them from their sins and their consequences. If
a merchant sees himself callingupon God’s beautiful names in a dream, it means
that his business will be saved from bankruptcy. If a disbeliever, a profane or
a secular person sees himself in a state of remembering God Almighty and
calling upon His most holy attributes in a dream, it means that he may fall sick,
or face great adversities, while in his heart, he will remain pleading with God
Almighty for mercy and relief, though he may remain silent in public regarding
his inner faith, and in fear of being ridiculed by his own circles. If during his
dream one speaks words of truth and wisdom, it means that he will recover from
his adversity and be cured from his illness. Furthermore, he will move into a
more comfortable life and begin a life of sharing and doing good deeds in this
world, or he may receive guidance and light, and faith will permeate his heart.
If one says his prayers with a twang in a dream, it means that he will linger in

Amulet
(Incantation; Prayer; Talisman; A prayer worn around the neck or
cherished to word off evil and attract good fortune.) When a prayer is read in
a dream following the prophetic traditions to help a sick person in the dream,
it means protection from sufferings, dispelling distress and dissipation of
sadness. If the amulet or the talisman carries a personal spell or wish, then it is nothing but lies, falsehood, affectation and hypocrisy. If the person who
recites the incantation in the dream is a craftsperson, it means that he defrauds
the people and fakes his product. If he is a man of knowledge, it means that he
lies or hides his true knowledge, abstains from giving true advice, or perhaps
he offers a poor quality of worship. If the one reciting the incantation in the
dream is a judge, it means that he will give a wrong judgement. If one is given
to drink some water over which specific prayers were recited in a dream, it
means longevity. If one sees himself reciting an incantation, or if he hears
incantations recited on his behalf in a dream, it will all be false except for a
prayer that recites: ‘In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compas¬
sionate’ or contains a Quranic revelation.

Tongue
(Interpreter; Pen; Speech writer; Stinger; Translator) In a dream, one’s
tongue represents his translator or his business manager. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents the chief cause of sin. Moving one’s tongue without
speaking in a dream means committing a sin. Seeing an increase in size, width,
or length of one’s tongue in a dream means strength and overcoming one’s
enemy. If one’s tongue becomes elongated with no cause for dispute or argument
in a dream, it means having a bad tongue, or backbiting others, speaking ill
about others, or using base and despicable language. Having a long tongue in
a dream also could mean clarity in one’s speech and eloquence in one’s expressions.
Having two tongues in a dream means acquiring a second language or a second
trade, using a proof other than one’s own in a court of justice, or winning victory
over one’s enemy. If one finds his tongue tied in a dream, it means stagnation
of his business, or it could mean poverty. If black hair grows over one’s tongue
in a dream, it means a fast coming evil. If gray hair grows over one’s tongue in
a dream, then it means a slow coming adversity. Hair growing over one’s tongue
in a dream also means writing or reciting a poem. One’s tongue in a dream also
represents the perfect alibi, the beauty and eloquence of one’s presentation, a
professional presentation, good fame and good conduct. If a governor’s tongue
is cut off in a dream, it means the death of his interpreter or his speech writer.
The human tongue in a dream also represents his pen and his signing authority.
If one’s tongue becomes long and reaches the skies in a dream, it means that he
will be impeached or deposed from his leadership position following his tyranny
and injustices. If the tongue of a leader or a ruler becomes long in a dream, it
also signifies the expansion of his power and the infallibility and effectiveness
of his commands. One’s tongue in a dream also symbolizes a milk sucklingbaby,
a lion in his den, or an intelligent warrior. Thus, if one lets a lion out of a lair
in a dream, it denotes his tongue, or hurting people’s feeling or reputation with
one’s tongue. If one sees himself without a tongue in a dream, it may mean the
death of an infant. If one has to appear in court and sees his tongue cut off in
a dream, it means that his proof will be rejected by the judge. If only the side
of one’s tongue is cut off in a dream, it means that he has doubts about the
testimony of his witness. If he is a merchant, it means that he will lose an
important business deal. If he is a student, it means that he will not complete
his schooling. It is also said that when one’s tongue is cut off in a dream, it means
that he is a forbearing person. If the wife’s tongue is cut off in a dream it means
that she is a chaste and a pious woman. If a wife cuts off the tongue of her
husband in a dream, it means that she will flirt with him and show him
tenderness and love. Cutting off the tongue of a poor person in a dream means
giving something to an impudent person to shun off his evil. If a poor person cuts
off the tongue of another poor person in a dream, it means a fight between them.
If one’s tongue sticks to his palate in a dream, it means that he will deny or reject
someone’s right, refute the truth, or lie about a trust he received to keep for a
time. Eating one’s tongue or biting on it in a dream represents an act one will
regret. If a governor sees that in a dream, it means that he swindles people’s
money and receives bribes. Biting on one’s tongue in a dream also means
remaining mostly silent, withholding one’s advice, or controlling one’s fury and
anger. Biting one’s tongue in a dream also could denote gluttony. Cutting off
one’s tongue in a dream means invalidating one’s argument or proof, or
preventing him from asking for anything. The cutting off of a poet’s tongue in
a dream means giving him money for his recitation. Seeing one’s tongue black
in a dream means that one may preside over his own people. If he is a wretched
person, it means that he is a liar. If someone who is scared of something sees
his tongue in a dream, it means that he will lose his battle and become subject
to defamation and humiliation. If a wretched person sees himself having many
tongues in a dream, it means that he will have a large family. Having many
tongues in a dream also means speaking many foreign languages. If one’s tongue
is split in half in a dream, it means that he is a liar. Having many tongues and
of many colors in a dream means telling different and contradictory stories, or
it could represent a music writer. If people touch one’s tongue or suck it in a
dream, it means that they are acquiring his knowledge. It also represents people
toadying or lobbying in official business. One's tongue in a dream also repre¬
sents a hidden treasure, a hidden knowledge, a toadying servant, an employee,
one’s house, a vehicle, a skilled enemy, a seedling of a fruit bearing tree, a bad
wife, a barren woman, one’s spoken and irretrievable words, earnings, collecting
garbage, following someone’s traces, a policeman, or a prisoner. An animal’s
tongue in a dream represents one’s life or death, because for an animal, his
tongue is like a hand through which he takes things. If a scholar’s tongue is cut
off in a dream, it means that he will lose his argument, or it could mean the death
of his assistant, student or son. Losing one’s tongue in a dream represents the
malicious joy of one’s enemy, family, or neighbors for one’s losses, or it could
mean the death of a beloved, severing a relationship, or a plant disease that will
affect one’s fruit bearing trees. Perhaps losing one’s tongue in a dream could
mean separation between husband and wife, divorce, losing one’s job, or moving
to a new town. Having two tongues in a dream also means backbiting others,
or having two faces with people, for people say that so-and so has two tongues
or two faces. If the second tongue does not impede the person from speaking in
the dream, then it denotes his truthfulness, love and affection toward others.
One’s tongue in a dream also may represent something one fears, such as the
collapsing of a roof over his head, or it could represent an enemy. It also means
isolating oneself from people of knowledge and wisdom, or it could mean
remaining mostly silent, minding one’s own business, or offering devotion and
being grateful to God Almighty for His gifts and blessings. One’s tongue in a
dream also represents a captured prisoner of war, or a snake hiding in its pit.

Kiss
(Love; Passion; Rose; Tenderness) A kiss in a dream means satisfying one’s
need, want or desire, or it could mean subordinating one’s enemy. Kissing a man
or embracing him lustfully in a dream means getting hold of what one intends
to acquire from him. If it is a lustful kiss, then it means accomplishing one’s
pursuit of benefits, knowledge, or guidance. If it is an amicable kiss, it means
that the one who received the kiss will receive benefits from the one who kissed
him, or learn something from him, or reap a new understanding of things
through him. Kissing a child in a dream means love, care and tenderness toward
that child. Kissing a servant in a dream means soliciting the friendship of her
master or employer. Kissing a married woman in a dream means seeking
friendship with her husband. Kissing someone in authority in a dream means
replacing him in his function. Kissing a judge in a dream means that one’s
testimony will be accepted by the court. If a judge kisses someone in a dream,
it means that the latter will win a court case, or benefit from such a judge, and
the same interpretation applies if a leader or a boss kisses someone in a dream.
Kissing one’s father in a dream also means benefiting from one another. Kissing
one’s son with passion in a dream means saving money for him, or building a
business for him. Giving one’s son a tender kiss in a dream means receiving joy
or money from him or from his mother. Kissing someone between the eyes in a
dream means marriage. Kissing someone’s eyes in a dream means pursuing
both heterosexual and homosexual life and such a dream carries a warning to
cease such loathsome and unlawful practices before contracting unknwon
illness. Kissing one’s beloved from the mouth in a dream means money. Kissing
a woman in a dream means desiring her, or receiving news from one’s beloved.
Kissing an old woman in a dream indicates an excuse or regret for a slip of the
mouth. Kissing a young girl in a dream means drinking a glass of wine. If a
scholar kisses a beautiful woman in a dream, it could mean reciting the Quran,
or speaking words of wisdom. If such a scholar is known to love the world and
its pleasures, then what he has kissed in his dream is the world itself. Kissing
God’s right Hand in a dream means attending a pilgrimage to Mecca and kissing
the black stone. Kissing God Almighty in a dream means kissing the holy
Quran, or kissing God’s holy Name. If one sees God Almighty kissing him in a
dream, it means that his deeds are accepted. Kissing an adorned woman or
sleeping with her in a dream means marrying a wealthy widow. Kissing a known
deceased person in a dream means benefiting from his knowledge or inheriting
his money. Kissing an unknown dead person in a dream means that one will
receive money from an unexpected source, or perhaps do business with his heirs.
If a deceased person kisses someone in a dream, it means that the latter will
receive unanticipated benefits. Lustfully kissing a deceased person in a dream
means satisfying one’s needs, lust, or completing a project. If a sick person sees
himself kissing a deceased person in a dream, it means his own death. Finally,
if a healthy person kisses a deceased person in a dream, it means that his words

Memorizing a poem or a verse from a poem in a dream means engaging in
a business from which one will acquire great knowledge, or it could mean profits
or success in whatever trade one chooses to practice. If one sees himself in a court
of justice reciting poems for money in the dream, it means that he will give a
false testimony. If he recites a poem for a gathering in a dream, it means that
he will relate a wise saying, though he himself inclines to hypocrisy. If one sees
himself listening to a poem in a dream, it means that he will associate himself
with a group of people who do not foster the truth. In a dream, poems also
represent falsehood or vain talk. Reciting a poem or listening to one and
memorizing its verses in a dream means that one should take heed to what it

Quran with a beautiful voice in a dream means honor, dignity and good fame.
Reading the holy Quran and adding one’s own words to it in a dream means
wavering from the truth, or betraying one’s promise or covenant. If in the latter
case one does not understand the meaning of what he is saying in the dream,
it means that he will give a false testimony in a court of justice, or that he will
be involved in something evil the consequences of which cannot be foreseen. If
one sees people listening to his recital of the Quran in a dream, it means that
he will command a job, and that people will follow his instructions. Hearing, or
reading any Quranic chapter which is customarily read for a deceased person
in a dream, signifies the death of a sick person in that family. Professional
Quran readers in a dream represent the leading people of the society. To hear
a professional Quranic recital in a dream means that people in authority will
soon gather in the place where the recital is seen in one’s dream. If one sees
himself reading his book of records on the Day of Judgment in a dream, and if
he is an unlettered person in wakefulness, it means that he will become rich
after having suffered from poverty, and that he will answer all the questions
he will be asked on the Day of Reckoning, or that he will be protected by God
Almighty from what he fears most. This happens if one’s reading of his own
records is positive, but if it reads his sins and pitfalls in the dream, then it

Torah
Reciting the Torah but not recognizing what it is in a dream means that
one may become a fatalist. To own a copy of the Torah for a king or ruler in a
dream means that he will conquer a land or make peace with its people on his
terms. If he is learned in real life, it means that either his knowledge will
increase or that he will invent what is not ordained, or he may tend to lean
toward jovial company. Seeing the Torah in a dream also means finding what
is lost, welcoming a long awaited traveller, or it could represent someone who
follows the Jewish faith. As for an unmarried person, owning a Torah in a dream
means getting married to a woman from a different religion, or it could mean
marrying a woman without her parents’ consent. Seeing the Torah in a dream
also may mean extensive travels. If one’s wife is pregnant, it means that she will
bear a child who resembles his father. If one’s wife is pregnant, and if he sees
himself holding the Torah in a dream, it means that she will beget a daughter,
for the gender of the word Torah is feminine. It also means that he will mix with
evil companions. Similar interpretations are given to carrying other scriptures.
To see the Torah, or the Evangel, or the Gospel in a dream is as though one has
seen God’s Prophet Muhammad, upon whom be peace, because his name (uwbp)
is mentioned in all three of them. It could also mean betrayal, negating a
covenant, or desiring what is shoddy.
