or twenty thousand in a dream signifies victory against one’s enemy. Counting
up to the number seven or eight means distress or pressures. Counting up to the
number nine in a dream means adversities and joining the company of corrupt
and evil people. Counting up to the number ten in a dream means completing
a project, or it could mean attending the pilgrimage in Mecca. Counting up to

soldiers of mercy, while mercenaries in a dream represent the soldiers of
punishment. If one sees himself as a soldier eating his meal inside the chambers
of a king in a dream, it means that he will control a land without much efforts
on his part. If one’s name is listed as a soldier in a dream, it represents his
welfare, satisfaction, or that he will continue his education. If a bedridden
person sees himself as a soldier in a camp, or that he is discharged from the army
in a dream, it means that his illness will end in his death, or it may mean

Tayammum
(arb.) Performing one’s ritual ablution but without water in a dream
means the nearing solutions of one’s problems. Tayammum is usually performed
instead of the regular ablution in the absence of water, or because of a
preventing illness, etcetera. However, observing the religious rites and substance
of the act remains solemn. Tayammum in a dream also may mean a journey, or
an illness. If the act is performed with a dry surface such as wood, stone, dry
sand, earth, or a substance that does not stick to the skin in a dream, it means
that one’s travel plans may be infeasible, or it could mean that he will become
cheep, or pursue his evil desires. To perform tayammum while water is
accessible in a dream means falsehood and hypocrisy. It also means hoping for
forgiveness while adamantly pursuing the avenues of wrongdoing, giving
preference to one’s interests in the world over his lasting benefits in the

(Clouds; Drizzling; Life; Vapor; Water) If no harm or destruction is caused
by a rainstorm in a dream, then it means blessings, profits and mercy. Rain in
a dream also represents life, an earthly being, or fulfillment of a promise. If the
rain falls exclusively on a particular location in a dream, it means sorrow and
distress for its dwellers, or it could mean the loss of a beloved. If one sees rain
falling exclusively over his house in a dream, it means personal blessings.
Otherwise, it he sees it falling over the whole town in the dream, it means
blessings for everyone. Rain falling exclusively over one’s house in a dream also
means that someone will fall sick in that house, or suffer from a debilitating and
excruciating pain. If the skies rain stones or blood in a dream, it means
calamities and punishment for people’s sins. If it rains dust or sand in a dream,
it represents an unjust ruler in that locality. If the skies rain dirt without dust,
it also means prosperity and a good harvest. If a traveller sees rain in a dream,
it means hindrances along his journey. A destructive rainstorm in a dream
denotes dishonesty, cheating with measures, or the spread of sodomy in the
community. Seeing a destructive rainstorm tearing down structures, destroying
homes and pulling down tress in a dream represents a punishment for the
corruption and sins of the dwellers of that place. A good rain in a dream could
mean reconciliation with one’s enemy, or it could mean helping a needy person.
Rain in a dream also represents a caravan of camels, and a caravan of camels
in a dream represents rain. A good rain in a dream also means prosperity,
happiness, refilling wells with rainwater, the gushing forth of springs with
sweet, fresh and pure waters. Rain in a dream also means reviving an old and
a stagnant matter, or it could mean benefits, profits, blessings, relief from
distress, payment of debts, or feeling relief. In a dream, a good rain means
blessings, a good harvest and profits for a farmer. If the skies rain honey, butter,
oil, or food people like in the dream, it means blessings for everyone. Rain in a
dream also represent mercy from God Almighty, a helping hand, knowledge,
wisdom, the Quran, rejuvenation, revival, resurrection and life. If one sees
himself standing under a cover, a roof, or behind a wall to take shelter from a
rainfall in a dream, it means that he may suffer because of someone slandering
him. If the rain falls in season in one’s dream, it means roadblock barring
travels, business losses, inability to get medicine for a sick person because of
one’s poverty, or it could mean imprisonment. If one washes himself in the rain,
or takes a ritual ablution to perform his prayers, or washes his face with it, or
washes away filth in a dream, it means repentance from sin, receiving spiritual
guidance, or abolishing religious innovations and polytheism from one’s heart.
If he is poor, it means that God Almighty will enrich him and satisfy his needs,
or if he needed something from a ruler or a governor, it means that his request
will be answered favorably. Drinking from rainwater and if it is clear and pure
in the dream, it means receiving blessings and benefits. If the water is dirty and

Swimming
(Employment; Knowledge; Prison) If a man of knowledge sees himself
swimming in the ocean in a dream, it means that he will attain his goals. If he
enters the water of the ocean then comes back to the shore in a dream, it means
that he will commence his path of seeking knowledge then abandons it.
Swimming in a dream also means going to jail. Swimming on sand in a dream
means that one may be incarcerated, that his living conditions in his jail will
be constricted, and that he will suffer in his prison from hardships equal to the
difficulties he encounters during his swim in the dream. If one sees himself
swimming inside his own house in a dream, it means that he will work for a
ruthless, wicked and an unjust employer who will entrap him in his service
through a business deal. Consequently, God Almighty will help him out of his
entanglements. If one is afraid of swimming in the dream, it means that he is
scared of someone in authority. If he runs away from swimming in a dream, it
means that he will escape from him. If one sees himself entering waters where
he can swim successfully in a dream, it means that he will engage in a major
project, lead an important job, or acquire authority and power. If one swims on
his back in a dream, it means that he will repent for a sin. If he swims in the
sea and finds its water stagnant in the dream, it means that he will serve
someone in authority, though his job will bringhim nothingbut trouble and the
wrath of his employer. If he still manages to cross the sea in his dream, it means
that he will escape from dangers his employment could inflict upon him. If he
swims with fear in a dream, it means trouble, imprisonment, or a sickness he
will endure depending on the type of needed efforts or distance he has to cross.
Should he think in the dream that he will not be able to make it, then it means
his death. If he shows courage during his swim in the dream, it means that he
will be able to escape from such a dangerous job. Troubled waters in a dream
mean adversities. Swimming successfully across troubled waters in a dream
means overcoming one’s adversities. Any sea or agitated waters in a dream
represent the authorities or the state, whether it be a swamp, a lake, a pond,
a sea, or an ocean. If one sees himself drowning in a river, or a lake, then if he
is carried by others and laid on dry land motionless like a fish in a dream, this
also means trials and adversities. If one is saved from drowningbefore he wakes-
up from his sleep in the dream, it means that he will triumph over his trials.
Otherwise, if he dies from it in the dream, it means that he may die from such
adversities. If during his swim one meets a ship that pulls him out of the waters,
or to which he holds or grabs, it also means escape from adversities. If one
drowns in the dream, it means that he may die as a martyr, though having
previously indulged in many sins. To walk on water, whether it is the sea or a
river in a dream means good spiritual standing, religious assiduousness and a
strong faith and determination. Walking on water in a dream also could be
interpreted as ascertaining something about which one may have doubt, or

on the ground or one who interprets randomly drawn lines on sand represents
a fraudulent and a cunning person, a thief, or such a dream could represent

Bread

perity; Religion; A strong person.) When bread is made from bleached flour in
a dream, it means blessed earnings and a comfortable life. When it is made with
unbleached flour in a dream, it means disturbances in one’s life. It is said that
each loaf of bread represents forty years of one’s life. Each loaf of bread also may
represent money in denominations of tens, hundreds or thousands, all relative
to the financial standing of the person in the dream, or the type of work he
performs. Whole wheat bread, barley bread or sweet bread made with honey or
sugar in a dream means rising prices. Eating bread with its crusts in a dream
is like eating honey with its beeswax. Oven fresh bread when eaten in one’s
dream is best. Bread in a dream represents woman’s chastity. Bread made with
bleached flour means living a clean life, having pure knowledge, or a beautiful
wife. If a student sees himself distributing bread among poor people in a dream,
it means that he will attain his goals and succeed in his studies. If he is a
preacher, it means that people are accepting his admonitions and advice.
Otherwise, if he sees people crowding over him to get their bread in the dream,
it means that people will seek what he has to offer. In that case, his position is
better than theirs, for the giving hand is better than the receiving one. If one
sees a deceased person offering him a piece of bread in a dream, it means that
he will receive unexpected money from an unsolicited source. If one sees bread
hanging in the skies, over the roofs or hanging down from trees in a dream, it
means rising prices and the same interpretation applies for all commodities. If
he sees bread scattered on the ground and people walking over it in a dream,
it means prosperity in that land which leads to vanity. A good looking loaf of
bread represents one’s good religious stand, otherwise it means the opposite.
Baking bread in a dream means working for one’s livelihood. Seeing squandered
loaves of bread and not eating from them in the dream means meeting with
brothers one has not seen for a long time. Having a loaf of bread baked with
coarsely grounded grains in the dream means living a comfortable life, though
with insignificant religious attendance. If it is a loaf of barley bread in the
dream, it means a strenuous life, though well managed. Corn bread, chick peas
bread or millet bread means tight financial conditions and rising prices. If one
is given a piece of dried bread in a dream, it indicates the near end of his life.
A loaf of bread in a dream means marriage for an unwed person, and for a
craftsman, it means progress in his trade. As for a ruler or a judge, a well baked
loaf of bread in a dream represents hisjustice. Small loaves of bread in a dream
represent a short life, while large loaves mean longevity. Eating a hot loaf of
bread means hypocrisy, because the effect of the oven’s heat is still in it. Eating
bread without a meal means a sickness or dying alone. Eating from a loaf of
bread which is half baked in a dream means that one may suffer from high fever.
If a poor person eats sweetbread or a cake in a dream, it means sickness or loss
of what he maybe expecting to receive. Eating the thin variety of rock baked
bread in a dream means increase in one’s earnings. A thin loaf of bread in a
dream also could mean a short life. Holding two loaves of bread in a dream
means marrying two sisters, one after the other. Eating simultaneously from
two loaves of bread, one in each hand in a dream also means a marriage to two
sisters. Eating pretzels in a dream means adopting a good health diet. Stale
bread in a dream means inexpensive or shoddy prices. Dough in a dream means
debts or loans. A flying loaf of bread with two wings means high prices. Eating
a flat loaf of bread, or a loaf of pita bread in a dream means easy living or
prosperity. Eating a bun in a dream denotes a decent financial stability. In a

fortuneteller in a dream represents someone who can explain the meaning of

money. Each adobe represents a denomination of ten, thousand or one hundred
thousand units of money, depending on the type of work one does in wakeful-

good deeds or they could represent a religious person. An adobe in a dream also
represents a servant. Building a house with adobes in a dream means unity and

Pomegranate
Eating pomegranate seeds in a dream means earning easy money.
A pomegranate in a dream also represents savings. If it is ripened and tastes
sweet, it represents a beautiful woman, a town, a son, a one thousand dollars,
a one hundred dollars, or ten dollars depending on the type of work one performs.
If a pomegranate is eaten unripened in the dream, it represents suspicious
money. As for a ruler or a governor, a pomegranate in a dream represents a city.
If he brakes one in a dream, it means that he will conquer or rule that city. The
skin of a pomegranate represents the city’s walls, its seeds represent its people
and its juices represent its resources, industries and wealth. If a sick person eats
the skin of a pomegranate in a dream, it means that he will recover from his
illness. A pomegranate in a dream also means a coffer, a beehive, or a honey¬
comb. If the seeds are white in the dream, they represent little money. If they
are red, then they represent a sizeable profit. A pomegranate in a dream also
denotes fear or a journey. A fresh looking pomegranate in a dream represents
a young virgin. A broken pomegranate in half in a dream represents a deflowered
girl, a divorcee or a widow. A rotten or a spoiled pomegranate in a dream
represents an unchaste woman. A sour tastingpomegranate in adream represents
unlawful money, worries, or disturbances. If one sells pomegranates in a dream,
it means that he will sell the everlasting reward of the hereafter for the
temporary pleasure of this world. Drinkingpomegranatejuice in a dream means
spending for one’s livelihood. A pomegranate tree in a dream represents a pious,
respected and a rich man. If he is a merchant, his business will always multiply.
The thorns of a pomegranate tree in a dream represent the obstacles that
restricts a believer from falling into or committing a wrongdoing. Cutting down
a pomegranate tree in a dream means severing one’s blood ties, or neglecting
one’s duty toward his family.
