Siege
(Besiege) In a dream, a siege represents an ambush or constipation. It also
means having patience, determination and steadfastness. A siege in a dream
also means victory over one’s enemy.

Night
(Darkness; Heedlessness; Ignorance) In a dream, a moonless night represents
lack of work, stagnation, or losing one’s job. If one sees the whole world in the
dark and the moon is still radiant in the skies in a dream, it means that the
governor will temporarily relinquish his entire duties to his chief minister or
secretary, and that thieves and robbers will cluster around them for business.
If one then sees the daylight in his dream, it means that such an adversity will
pass. If people are under siege in the dream and the daylight dawns after a long
dark night in a dream, it means that their siege will be lifted. If people are
suffering from high prices and someone sees that dream, it means that prices
will go back to normal. If they are suffering from tyranny, it too will pass. The
night in a dream also means marital relations, while the day means separation
between them. In a dream, the darkness of night also represents heedlessness
and particularly if one witnesses thunder and lightning in his dream. Seeing a
complete darkness inside one’s house in a dream means taking a long journey.
The night and the day in a dream represent two adverse rulers, or two
competitors or adversaries. The night in a dream also represents an atheist,
while the day in a dream represents a believer. The night in a dream also
signifies comfort and rest, while the day means toiling and hardships. In a
dream, the night also means sexual pleasures, while the day means divorce or
separation. The night in a dream signifies economic stagnation, while the day
means business, travels and hypocrisy. If the night in a dream is interpreted to
represent the ocean, then the day means land. The night in a dream also means
death, while the day represents life and resurrection. The night and the day
together may represent the two guardian angels who record each person’s deeds
and who are God’s witnesses. If a sick person sees the dawn in a dream, it means
that he will recover from his illness, or die from it. If he is imprisoned, it means
that he will be released. If he is a sinner, it means that he will repent for his
sins. If he is a merchant and his business is not moving, it means that his
merchandise will be finally sold. The nightfall at the end of the day in a dream
also could mean the opposite. Seeing the night in a dream also denotes constant
changes in one’s life, poverty, hunger, starvation, or death. The night and the
day in a dream also represent wisdom and protocols, or indulging in something
one will regret. The nightfall in a dream also may denote changing times, or

while the day may represent a Caucasian woman, or a pregnant woman. The

Ignorance
(Demanding person; Obtrusive person) It is common among the people
of knowledge to describe an ignorant person as a stone. (Also see Darkness)
Illness: Having an illness in a dream represents a sickening character, or a
hypocrite. Finding oneself ill in a dream means enjoying a good health for that
year, or it could mean loss of devotion and lack of piety. If a warrior finds himself
sick in a dream, it means that he will be wounded. If one sees his wife sick in
a dream, it means that she is negligent of her religious obligations. If a sick
person sees himself riding an ox, or a swine in a dream, it means his death. A
feverish illness in a dream means pressure caused by a ruler. Feeling sick, or
feeling down with an undiagnosed illness in a dream means spending money,
or wasting it in ways other than on God’s path. In a dream, illness mostly
denotes religious disobedience and religious disdain. If one’s sick child recovers
from an illness in a dream, it means his death. If one sees the entire city
suffering from an illness in a dream, it means a war, or a siege. If one sees
himself ill in a dream, it also means victory over his enemy and enjoying a happy
life. Otherwise, seeing anyone suffering from an illness in a dream means lack
of work, and for a rich person it means becoming needy. If a business traveller
sees himself ill and desiring something in his dream, it means that his business
deal will not fall through, for physicians mostly do not grant their patients their
wishes. If a bedridden person sees himself freeing a slave from bondage in a
dream, it means his death, for a dead person has no property. Seeing a friend
sick in a dream means that one will suffer from the same illness. Illness in a
dream also signifies spending money, repentance, prayers, supplications, im¬
ploring, while falling in love in a dream means a sickness. Seeing two of one’s
children sick in a dream means that one may suffer from trachoma or ophthalmia,
for one’s eyes in a dream represent his children. Illness in a dream means that
one has lost something to his adversary. Seeing one’s father ill in a dream means
having a migraine headache, for one’s father in a dreams also represents his
head. An illness in a dream also signifies falsehood and corruption. If one sees
himself suffering from a terminal illness in a dream, it means that his sins will
be forgiven, and he will die with God Almighty pleased with him. An illness in
a dream also signifies a calamity, distress, fear of something, desiring something,
or trouble. The illnessofa woman in adream represents her stepdaughters from
her husband. Man’s sickness in a dream also could signify abstaining from
sexual course with his wife during her menstrual period. The illness of scholars
means weakness in their religious adherence. The sickness of a ruler means
religious failure, or that he may die in that same year. The illness of a teacher
in a dream means separation from his students. The illness of a child in a dream
means distress and worries for his parents. The death of a suffering old person,
or someone with a terminal illness in a dream means relief. The death of an
animal in a dream means lack of benefits. A plague in a dream means drought,
or prosperity for physicians as well as for undertakers. Complaining about some
pain in a dream means distress, unless if the one complaining in the dream is
an opponent, then it means victory andjoy for the person seeing the dream. (Also

Ulliman
(‘Uthman bin ‘Affan, God be pleased with him. The third of the four
righteous califs) Seeing him in a dream means celebrating knowledge, being a
godly person, friendship and love for others, lowering one’s wings before God
Almighty and to the believers among His creation, and he represents a trust¬
worthy leadership. Seeing ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan in a dream also could mean facing
the aggression of one’s enemy and losing to them by winning martyrdom. It also
means having a great luck, prosperity, kinship with noble people, or being a
pious and a religious person. One who sees ‘Uthman. God be pleased with him,
in a dream will become a scholar. If one sees him doing business in a dream, it
means that one is seeking worldly profits, though he likes to adorn himself with
a religious garb and titles but lacks true piety. If one sees him besieged inside
his own house in a dream, it means that he will persecute and oppress a great
scholar or a man of God. Seeing him alive and dealing with people in a dream
means being chaste, pious, reverent and earning the jealousy of one’s own
circles.

Sand
In a dream, sand represents money. Carrying a handful of sand in a dream
means pursuing a business. If one carries a heavy load of sand in a dream, it
means that he will suffer for his sins. Swallowing sand or gathering it in a dream
denotes savings. Walking on sand in a dream means pursuing either a spiritual
or a mundane interest, or it could represent a sad event, a fight, or committing
injustice toward one’s own soul or against others. Depending on the quantity
seen in one’s dream, gathering sand may mean shackles, a siege, life or death,
poverty or richness, and honor or humiliation. Sand in a dream also means
toiling or difficulties. If a woman sees herself walking on sand in a dream, it
means the death of her husband. If a man sees such a dream, it means the death
of his wife. Red sand in a dream represents a high ranking position. White sand
in a dream means profits for fortunetellers. Yellow sand in a dream means
repentance, recovering from an illness, or tightening of one’s livelihood. A pile
of sand collected at the feet of a tree in a dream represents a construction proj ect,
