Slip
(Under garment; Underpants) In a dream, a slip represents a free woman.
A woman wearing an underwear slip in a dream denotes marriage. If she is
wearing a flashy red slip in the dream, it means that she will be accused of
wrongdoing. If a respectable woman adventures with her slip into the streets
in a dream, it means that her misfortune will become the talk of the town.

Slip of a tongue
(Cutting remark; Oversight) A slip of one’s tongue, or to slip in
a cutting remark in a dream may mean walking on a slippery surface, or vice-

Slippers
(Glass slippers; Hoof; Protection; Wooden clogs; Wooden slippers.)
Slippers in a dream represent property, protection, a ring, or preventing evil
happening. Wearing a pair of slippers in a dream also means a journey, or
travelling by sea, or it could mean buying a new vehicle. Tight slippers in a
dream means tightness in one’s livelihood, entanglements, or being pursued by
debt collectors. Removing one’s slippers in a dream means putting an end to
one’s strains. Wearing embroidered slippers coupled with a shawl over one’s
shoulders in a dream means increase in one’s wealth and respect. Wearing them
in the winter is more beneficial then wearing them in the summer where they
mean distress. Seeing one’s slippers on fire or if they fall into a well in a dream
may mean the death of one’s wife. In a dream, a pair of new slippers that are
elongated like a boat means tight circumstances and debts. Slippers in a dream
also represent money which is earned from a foreign country or from an import
and export business. If slippers in a dream are interpreted to mean protection,
then losing them in a dream could mean loss of one’s job. If they are interpreted
to mean religion, then losing them in a dream means relief from difficulties, or
an end to one’s trials. Wearing a pair of simple slippers in a dream means taking
a trip to a distant place, or a marriage to a young virgin. If one’s slippers are
worn-out in a dream, it means that one may marry an unwed woman or a widow.
Losing a slipper in a dream means losing half of one’s assets. Finding a pair of
lost slippers in a dream means occupying oneself with worldly business rather
than serving one’s benefits in the hereafter, or it could mean delinquency in
attending one’s religious duties. Wearing wooden slippers in a dream means
repentance from sin, engaging in an argument, acquiring knowledge, or exposing
a secret one would rather conceal from others. Walking with glass slippers in
a dream means being a hypocrite and a bad companion whose friendship does
not last, and whoever befriends someone wearing glass slippers in a dream will

Walking on a slippery surface, or tripping over a slippery
surface may mean abolition of a wrongdoing one has committed in the past. It
also means forgetfulness, distraction, slowing of mental keenness, or diversion

Bridge of the Day of Judgement
( arb. Sirat) This is the bridge people have to walk
on after the Day of Resurrection to meet their Lord on the Day of Judgement.
The ease of crossing it depends on the weight of deeds one is carrying. Some cross
like lightening, while others have to carry their burdens and move at varying
paste. Walking on it in a dream means a journey. If the bridge caves under one’s
feet in the dream, it means destruction and death. Seeing this bridge in a dream
also represents knowledge, truth, believing in God’s oneness and following the
teachings and example of God’s Messenger upon whom be peace. If one’s foot
slips while crossing in the dream, it means that he will miss the true path. If
one sees himself walking the path in a dream, it means that he is on the right
track, follows what is commanded and abstains from what is forbidden. It also
means that one will undergo awesome changes, undertakes major responsibili¬
ties and succeeds to reach safety. If one’s foot slips in a dream, it also means that
he will fall into sin and deviate from the straight path.

Fart
(Breaking wind; Passing gas; Foolishness; Wind) Passing gas in a dream
means hearing or speaking vile words, or suffering from adversities, or it could
mean dispersing a group of people, telling a shocking news, stupidity, belittling
people, lies, using insulting words, or it could represent the sound that could
emanate from beating someone. If one breaks wind with a loud sound in a dream,
it means that he will address someone with harsh words. If one sees himself
sitting with people and unwillingly passes gas or breaks wind in a dream, it
means that his difficulties, sorrows or stress will be dispelled, though with
horridness and repulsiveness. If one breaks wind intentionally in such a
gathering in a dream, then it means committing an evil act and suffering from
its consequences. If one passes gas without noise in his dream, it means that he
will receive a sarcastic commendation that matches the smell of his fart. If one
breaks wind in a dream while sitting with a group of people who are experiencing
difficulties, it means that their difficulties will be dispelled, and their suffering
will ease. If they are merchants, it means that their merchandise will move
faster. If one forces himself to break wind in a dream, it means that he will carry
a burden greater than he can bear. If one breaks wind along with passing gas
in his dream, it means that he will attain success in his life, and he will receive
honor and profits from an important business trip. However, it is possible that
his interests will become diverse, or that he could lose his focus, then he will
return home free from such burdens. To fart from the mouth in a dream means
faltering or a slip of a tongue, an accident, suffering from gum irritation, a stroke
that will affect one’s speech, or it could mean developing ill habits that will cause
him to feel ashamed of himself in public.

foot or hurting one’s toe in a dream means accumulating debts. If one’s toe bleeds
from tripping out in the dream, it means acquiring unlawful or tainted money

Clothing
(Dwellings; Face; Look; State; Transient) One’s garment in a dream
represents his innermost thoughts that will eventually show in his attitude in
life. If one’s thoughts are good, then it will show, and if they are evil, they will
also manifest. If one wears a slipper over his head and a turban in his foot in
a dream, it means that he is carrying trouble. Depending on its type and name,
a garment in a dream could represent a man or a woman. Wearing a new
garment in a dream is better than seeing an old one. If a man sees himself
wearing a woman’s apparel in a dream, it means that he is a bachelor. If a woman
sees herself wearing a man’s garment in a dream, it means that she is
unmarried. Wearing a tightly buttoned shirt in a dream means experiencing
tight circumstances or reuniting with a traveller returning home, or it could
mean marriage for an unwed person. Wearing a stately apparel in a dream
means honor and dignity. Wearing a soldier’s uniform in a dream means war.
Wearing a scholar’s robe or a teacher’s vest in a dream means studying to become
a learned person. Wearing an ascetic’s woolen wrap in a dream means becoming
a renunciate. Wearing a salesman’s suit in a dream means hard work or looking
for work if the suit looks expensive in the dream, for people mostly wear
expensive looking suits when they are still searching for work. Wearing a white
garment in a dream means pride, honor and dignity. Wearing silk in a dream
means strength and occupying a high rank in a business or government. If one
sees a deceased person wearing a silken garment in a dream, it means that he
is dwelling in the heavenly paradise. Wearing a garment that is adorned with
gold in a dream means victory over one’s enemy. A black garment means honor,
reign and having mastery over people. Wearing a green garment in a dream
means martyrdom. Wearing a cotton garment in a dream means following the
Prophet’s tradition (uwbp). Wearing a woolen garment in a dream means
clarity, unless if it is coarse or unfitting and in that case, it means poverty and
humiliation. Wearing a linen garment in a dream means enjoying a blessing or
a favor. Wearing a brocaded garment in a dream means receiving an important
and a revered message, rising in station, enjoying wealth or it could represent
the blessing of having a child. Wearing a robe that is trailing behind one’s feet
in a dream means rebellion and disobedience, while wearing a moderately short
coat in a dream means purity, virtues and chastity. Wearing any type of garment
in a dream means emulating the character of such people or becoming a prisoner
of war. Wearing a kufi or a headdress for prayers in a dream means atonement
for one’s sins. Wearing a jubbah or a long cloak in a dream means longevity.
Wearing an open sports jacket in a dream means ease in one’s life or financial
success. Wearing a special costume for a festival or a celebration in a dream
means prosperity and a wealth that is saved for one’s children, or it could mean
buying new merchandise for one’s shop. Wearing a military uniform in a dream
means distress, trouble or a scientific dispute. Wearing one’s traditional cos¬
tumes in a dream, or that of another community means to befriend them and

Kiss
(Love; Passion; Rose; Tenderness) A kiss in a dream means satisfying one’s
need, want or desire, or it could mean subordinating one’s enemy. Kissing a man
or embracing him lustfully in a dream means getting hold of what one intends
to acquire from him. If it is a lustful kiss, then it means accomplishing one’s
pursuit of benefits, knowledge, or guidance. If it is an amicable kiss, it means
that the one who received the kiss will receive benefits from the one who kissed
him, or learn something from him, or reap a new understanding of things
through him. Kissing a child in a dream means love, care and tenderness toward
that child. Kissing a servant in a dream means soliciting the friendship of her
master or employer. Kissing a married woman in a dream means seeking
friendship with her husband. Kissing someone in authority in a dream means
replacing him in his function. Kissing a judge in a dream means that one’s
testimony will be accepted by the court. If a judge kisses someone in a dream,
it means that the latter will win a court case, or benefit from such a judge, and
the same interpretation applies if a leader or a boss kisses someone in a dream.
Kissing one’s father in a dream also means benefiting from one another. Kissing
one’s son with passion in a dream means saving money for him, or building a
business for him. Giving one’s son a tender kiss in a dream means receiving joy
or money from him or from his mother. Kissing someone between the eyes in a
dream means marriage. Kissing someone’s eyes in a dream means pursuing
both heterosexual and homosexual life and such a dream carries a warning to
cease such loathsome and unlawful practices before contracting unknwon
illness. Kissing one’s beloved from the mouth in a dream means money. Kissing
a woman in a dream means desiring her, or receiving news from one’s beloved.
Kissing an old woman in a dream indicates an excuse or regret for a slip of the
mouth. Kissing a young girl in a dream means drinking a glass of wine. If a
scholar kisses a beautiful woman in a dream, it could mean reciting the Quran,
or speaking words of wisdom. If such a scholar is known to love the world and
its pleasures, then what he has kissed in his dream is the world itself. Kissing
God’s right Hand in a dream means attending a pilgrimage to Mecca and kissing
the black stone. Kissing God Almighty in a dream means kissing the holy
Quran, or kissing God’s holy Name. If one sees God Almighty kissing him in a
dream, it means that his deeds are accepted. Kissing an adorned woman or
sleeping with her in a dream means marrying a wealthy widow. Kissing a known
deceased person in a dream means benefiting from his knowledge or inheriting
his money. Kissing an unknown dead person in a dream means that one will
receive money from an unexpected source, or perhaps do business with his heirs.
If a deceased person kisses someone in a dream, it means that the latter will
receive unanticipated benefits. Lustfully kissing a deceased person in a dream
means satisfying one’s needs, lust, or completing a project. If a sick person sees
himself kissing a deceased person in a dream, it means his own death. Finally,
if a healthy person kisses a deceased person in a dream, it means that his words
