announced, or it could mean rising in rank. If one earns a title of recognition,
or if he becomes renowned, or if he is awarded a great prize for his work in a
dream, it means that he will learn that his wife has given birth to a beautiful
son. Such a son will follow his father’s footsteps, learn his trade or work at
spreading his knowledge or tradition, or he may govern and lead his people after

Papers

Studies) Papers in a dream represent witnesses, guidance, spiritual leaders,
knowledge, warnings, or glad tidings. Holding papers in a dream means glad
tidings and celebration. If a woman hands someone a piece of paper in a dream,
then one may expect good news to arrive from one moment to another. If the
woman who hands him the paper covers herself with a veil in the dream, it
means that he should be careful. Carrying a folded piece of paper in a dream
means that one may have an accident that could be the cause of his death. If one
sees himself carrying a paper in his left hand in a dream, it means that he regrets
something he did. Writing a paper with the left hand in a dream means writing
poem, or committing abominable actions, or that one will beget a son from
adultery. If a God fearing person sees himself looking at a paper written in a
language he cannot decipher in a dream, it means that he will face humiliation
or suffer from distress. If one is offered a wrapping paper and he finds a newborn
baby wrapped inside it in a dream, it means that he will hire a servant with some
strings attached to his employment. If one is given a newspaper, or a document
but does not care to read it in his dream, it means that he may receive an
inheritance. If one reads the title page of a newspaper in a dream, it also means
that he may receive an inheritance. If he quickly browses through it in his

dream means marriage and rising in status. Such a wedding will be announced
publicly. If one earns a title of recognition, or if he becomes renowned, or if he

beautiful son he will beget and who will follow his father’s footsteps, learn his
trade, or work at spreading his father’s knowledge or traditions, or he may

traditions of His Messenger, upon whom be peace, in a dream means being

of people in a dream means winning the title of a statesman, authority and
power in an election, or presiding over people. If one sees himself shouting alone
in a dream, it means that he will lose his power and his words will have impact.
Shouting in a dream also denotes social turmoil, agitation caused by war, an
earthquake, the drowning of a ship, or the spread of a new disease that will force

Ascending in the skies
(Climbing; Rising) To see oneself ascending in the skies
in a dream means falling in rank, or it could mean oppressing oneself. If one sees
himself ascending in the skies until he reaches the stars, merges with them and
if he becomes a star in the dream, it means that he will receive titles and powers.
If one sees himself ascending a mountain it means depression, stress and
travels. However, rising in a dream means elevation of status, and descending
means a backslide. If one sees himself walking up a steep road in a dream, it
means rising in status, but involving toiling and hardships. If one sees himself
climbing a mountain, then the mountain in a dream is interpreted as one’s goal.
Thus, one’s dream may mean attaining one’s goal as far as he reaches in his
climb. In dream interpretation, any ascent of a mountain, a trail, a hill, an
elevation or even climbing a roof means attaining one’s goal or satisfying one’s
needs. To see oneself climbing flat on his back in a dream then means uncalled

Ascent: (Incline; Mountain road; Steep incline) If one sees himself climbing a
steep incline in a dream, it means toiling to succeed in both his material and
spiritual life, or it could mean trying to gather the benefits of both worlds,
though with great strain on him . An ascent in a dream also could signify a
difficult woman or a stern man who can only be handled with kindness,
gentleness and love. An ascent in a dream also represents one’s associate, or a
business partner who cannot be trusted with one’s money or life. An ascent in
a dream also represents the road to salvation or the dangers one may have to
cross and the deeds that can save him from hell-fire. An ascent in a dream also
could represent adversities, difficulties and dangers. Ascending a steep incline
in a dream means danger and descending a steep hill means reaching safety.
An ascent in a dream also could represent a bridge, an underpass, a wife, a
woman, or a scorpion. Walking through a steep incline in a dream also means
rising in station because of one’s knowledge, politics, good conduct, fulfillment
of one’s duties, his caring for others or wisdom. Falling through a steep hill in
a dream means falling in rank, losing one’s prestige, losing one’s money, denying
the truth, objecting to one’s religion or walking into darkness. Climbing in a
dream always means attainment of one’s goals. Climbing flat on one’s back in
a dream has negative connotations. Descending from a steep hill, or from a ship,
or coming down form a castle or a mountain in a dream also mean that one’s goal

Castle
(Fortress; Stronghold) In a dream, a castle means using the vehicle of
truth. That is how the proverb: “Truth is a castle” came about. A castle in a
dream also represents its owners, an army’s fortification, or it may represent
knowledge, the Quran, or it could mean seeking refuge in God’s protection from
the evils of the accursed Satan and his armies, such as deities, preposterous or
exaggerated titles, etcetera. The towers of a castle in a dream represent the
leaders. Its battlement represents the solders and spies. Its gates represent the
guards. Its fortress represents the minister. Its hospices and barns represent
the clan or the coffers. It is also said that a castle in a dream could represent
an infallible and a strong person. Seeing it from a distance means rising in rank

righteous califs) Seeing him in a dream means celebrating knowledge, being a
godly person, friendship and love for others, lowering one’s wings before God
Almighty and to the believers among His creation, and he represents a trust¬
worthy leadership. Seeing ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan in a dream also could mean facing
the aggression of one’s enemy and losing to them by winning martyrdom. It also
means having a great luck, prosperity, kinship with noble people, or being a
pious and a religious person. One who sees ‘Uthman. God be pleased with him,
in a dream will become a scholar. If one sees him doing business in a dream, it
means that one is seeking worldly profits, though he likes to adorn himself with
a religious garb and titles but lacks true piety. If one sees him besieged inside
his own house in a dream, it means that he will persecute and oppress a great
scholar or a man of God. Seeing him alive and dealing with people in a dream
means being chaste, pious, reverent and earning the jealousy of one’s own

turning away from someone or something. It also means satisfying one’s needs,
attaining one’s goal or identifying it. Frying in a dream represents the skill of
cultivating one’s personal entitlements, or it could mean the home returning of
a long awaited traveller or the release of a prisoner. Frying something with

Allah
God Almighty, Lord, Creator and Cherisher of the universes. There is
nothing like unto Him and He is the All-Hearing, the Al-Seeing Lord. Seeing
Him in a dream can be interpreted according to one’s state of being. If one sees
Him in His glory and majesty, without descriptive designation, without ascrip¬
tion of human characteristics to Him and without depiction or portrayal in the
dream, it is an indication of glad tidings for both this world and the hereafter.These blessings also may continue to affect the lives of one’s progeny. If one sees
Him otherwise in a dream, it means confusion, and particularly if the Almighty
Lord does not address him. If an ailing person sees Him in a dream, it means
that he will soon die and come to meet Him. If a straying soul sees God Almighty
in a dream, it will find guidance. If an oppressed person sees Him, it means that
justice will prevail and he will triumph over his oppressors. Hearing God’s words
without designation represents the imagination of the person in the dream.
Perhaps hearing His words in a dream appeases one’s heart and increases the
person’s drive for success. Hearing God’s words without seeing Him represents
the rising of one’s station. If one receives revelations from behind a veil in a
dream, it means mental confusion and innovation. This is most true if a
messenger comes in one’s dream and describes the one who spoke as God. In this
case, the dream is a nightmare, because God Almighty cannot be depicted
according to human descriptions. If one sees a picture of God in his dream, it
means that he is a liar who ascribes images to God Almighty that do not befit
His Majesty and Glory. If one hears God Almighty talking to him directly and
if he can focus at Him in the dream, it means that he will be encompassed with
God’s mercy and blessings. If one sees God Almighty in a dream, it means that
he will look at His Divine countenance in the hereafter. Seeing God Almighty
seated on the Divine Throne in a dream means elevation of one’s rank,
knowledge and increase in his wealth. If one sees himself running away to hide
from God Almighty in a dream, it means that he will change the course of his
devotion into heedlessness. Seeing a veil separating between the servant and
his Lord in a dream means that one will commit major sins and abominable
actions. If one sees his Lord frowning at him, whereby he could not bear the
effulgence of God’s light, or if he is seized by a shock and immediately commences
to repent and pray for forgiveness in the dream, it means that such a person is
indulging in abominable actions, and that he is a despicable sinner who follows
his own mind and desires, and that he is an innovator of religious thoughts who
misleads the people. If one hears God Almighty talking to him in a dream, it
represents an admonition and a warning to abstain from sin. If one hears God
Almighty talking to him in a dream, it also means that one is more assiduous
in his recital of the Quran. If one hears God Almighty talking to him with words
he cannot understand, then if He anoints him and blesses him in the dream, it
means that God Almighty will bring him nigh unto Himself and exalt his station.
If one sees God Almighty in a form resembling one’s father, a brother or a
relative and showing His kindness or blessing him in a dream, it means that he
will be afflicted with a calamity and a major illness. If a righteous person sees
himself standing before God Almighty in reverence and filled with awe in a
dream, it means that mercy will encompass him and help him to further his
growth. The same interpretation applies if one sees himself prostrating before
Him. If God Almighty speaks to someone from behind a veil in a dream, it can
also represent a good worshipper, but if the Divine address takes place without
a veil in the dream, it means falling into sin. If God Almighty names someone
in his dream with his birth name, then adds another title to it, it means rising
in station and rank. If one sees God Almighty angry with him in a dream, it
means that his parents are displeased with him. This description includes
seeing oneself falling from the skies or from the top of a mountain. If a devoted
servant sees God Almighty kissing him in a dream, it applies to his growing
devotion and reward. Fearing God Almighty in a dream reflects eminence,
peacefulness, quiescence, wealth of being and disregard for material needs.

Garment
Wearing a good quality garment in a dream means prosperity in this
world and in the hereafter. Wearing a woolen garment in a dream means
renouncing the world and calling on people to do the same and to desire the
benefits of the hereafter. Wearing a green robe in a dream brings benefits and
no harm. If a living person sees himself or someone else wearing green in a
dream, it denotes his religious devotion. As for a deceased person, it means a
good state and acceptance before God Almighty. It is also said that wearing a
green garment in a dream means receiving an inheritance. Wearing a white
garment also means glad tidings. If a fabric merchant or a tailor sees himself
wearing a white garment in a dream, it means lack of work. Wearing a black
garment in a dream means a bad omen, but if one is used to wearing black
clothing, then it means honor, wealth and receiving a high ranking position.
Wearing a red garment in a dream means excess earnings that are not yet free
from due alms. Such a person then must immediately pay the proper share of
his earnings. A red garment in a dream means death, sickness and to a poor
person, it means increase in his difficulties. Wearing a red garment in a dream
can mean good only if the person wearing it is an unmarried woman. Otherwise,
wearing red during festivals or social gatherings in a dream has no meaning.
Wearing a yellow garment in a dream or any of its derivative colors in general
means ulcer or other internal festering illness. Wearing a silken garment in a
dream means loss and negligence of one’s religious life. Wearing a blue garment
in a dream means distress and difficulties. Wearing a patterned garment of
mixed colors in a dream means being reprimanded by one’s superior. It also
could represent a flower merchant. Wearing a double sided coat means duplicity
and affectation. A washed garment in a dream means poverty and indebtedness.
Wearing a brocaded garment in a dream means attending a pilgrimage. Oth¬
erwise, if the person qualifies, it means controlling interests in a farmland, or
it may represent a good harvest for that year. Wearing a garment which is
brilliant in colors for a man in a dream represents his pride and arrogance. If
one sees himself wearing a silken raiment and portraying a religious jurist in
a dream, it means that he is a seeker of worldly titles who may invent something
new. Announcing lost and found garments in a dream means attending a
pilgrimage to Mecca or a journey to an Arab country. A woman wearing a thin
garment in a dream represents her integrity, while if she is wearing a thick
garment, it represents her labor and hardships. If one sees himself putting on
a new garment after taking a ritual bath in a dream, it means prosperity or
repayment of his debts. If one’s new garment is torn and cannot be repaired in
the dream, it means inability to bear children. If the garment can be repaired
in the dream, it means that there is an evil spell over the person wearing it.
Wearing two torn garments in a dream means death. A torn garment in a dream
also means a shattered religious or spiritual life, or it could mean that one is
pursued by an evil person, or it could mean poverty or striving to satisfy one’s
basic material needs. If one is stripped of his clothing in a dream, it means loss
of his status. Destroying or wasting garments in a dream brings glad tidings,
unless if the person seeing the dream is incarcerated, or if he is a poor person,
or if he is in debt. If a man sees himself wearing a woman’s outfit in the dream,
and if in his consciousness he intended to act effeminately, it means that he will
face a calamity and carry a great burden. If he thinks in his dream that he is
a woman, then his humiliation will be greater. Receiving used garments but in
a good condition as a gift in a dream means money, though if they are in bad
condition, they mean trouble. A dog wearing a woolen cloak in a dream
represents a just ruler. If one sees a lion wearing a cotton or a linen cloak in a
dream, it represents a ruler who confiscates people’s properties and money.
Wearing linen cloak in a dream also means living a dignified life. Eating a clean
garment in a dream means receiving lawful earnings, and eating a dirty
garment in a dream means living from unlawful money. Burning one’s garment
in a dream means the end of his difficulties. Ironing off the creases of one’s
garment before wearing it in a dream means interest in beauty, glitters and
