Bond
(Band; Chain; Fetters; Shackle; Strap; Ties) In a dream, a bond signifies
assiduity, piety, a pretext, an illness, an ongoing debt, cognizance of the one who puts the chain, or a rope around one's hands. A silver band in a dream means
a lasting marriage. Ifit is a brass band in the dream, then it means decisiveness
but with trickery and regarding something loathsome. Ifthe bond is made from
lead in the dream, then it means having determination about something weak
or unworthy of such attention. A bond made with a rope in the dream signifies
piety and religiousness. If it is mad of wood in the dream, then it means
persistence in hypocrisy. If it is a bond made of a piece of cloth, or a thread in
the dream, then it means attachment to something that will not last. In a dream,
a bond also means delays when one is intending to travel, and for a merchant
it means salability of his merchandise, and as for someone suffering from
depression, it means perseverance of his sorrows. To see oneselftied-up in God's
cause in a dream means caring for one's family. Seeing oneself tied-up or
fettered in a city or a village in a dream means living there. Being bound inside
a house in a dream means living with a difficult wife. Adding extra shackles to
an already bound and bed stricken person in a dream means his death and for
a prisoner, it means extension of his sentence. Wearing a green garment and
seeing one's hands tied-up in a dream means spiritual growth. If one sees
himself wearing a white garment, then it means knowledge, understanding,
beauty and honor. Ifone sees himself wearing a red garment, it means that he
is a musician, or that he is fascinated by music and a night life of distractions.
Wearing a yellow garment in a dream means sickness. Ifone sees himself tied-
up with a golden bond in a dream, it means that he is awaiting to recover money
that he lost in an investment. If one sees himself in a dream tied-up inside a
palace which is built from glass, it means that he will befriend a noble woman,
though their friendship will not last. Seeing oneself being tied-up with another
person in the dream means committing a sin and being afraid of its conse-

(Bedchamber; Chamber) In a dream, one’s bedroom signifies trickery
or speaking soft words in fear of retribution, retaliation or rejection. One’s
bedroom in a dream also represents his inner thoughts. The good and the bad
ones. Seeing a new bedroom in one’s house, means renewing one’s hopes, or
affirming a good intention between the one seeing the dream and his Lord. A
beautiful looking bedroom in a dream represents one’s good qualities, while a

Misleading

someone is misleading him or tricking him in a dream, it means that God
Almighty will grant him victory over his enemy. The deceiver in the dream will
be the loser, and the misled person in the dream represents the real winner.

Tunnel
(Burrow; Hole; Underground passage) In a dream, a tunnel represents
trickery and deception. If one sees himself digging a tunnel or a hole for someone
else in a dream, it means tricking and deceiving him. If one enters the tunnel
that he dug in the dream, it means that he will fall in his own trap. If one enters
a tunnel or a burrow and cannot see light at the end of it, or if a traveller digs
a hole, enters it and can longer see the skies or the stars above him in the dream,
it means that thieves will rob him from his luggage, or that he will be high¬
jacked, or stopped by a band of highway robbers. If one sees himself taking an
ablution or a bath inside the tunnel or in the hole in a dream, it means that he
will arrest the robbers and recover his property. If one enters a tunnel and takes
a bath inside it in a dream, it means that he will pay his debts, or repent for his
sins, or if he is incarcerated, it means that he will be released. If one digs a tunnel
and draws water from it or discovers a hole filled with still water inside it in a
dream, it means that he earns his livelihood from trickery and deception. (Also

one who earns lawful money, knowledge, strive, trickery, exposing secrets or
defamation. To buy a fresh fish in a dream also may mean getting married. (Also

Engraver
(Goldsmith; Leather craftsman; or any craft using a hammer and a
chisel.) An engraver in a dream represents knowledge and pursuit of the
prophetic traditions. In a dream, an engraver also means deception, trickery
and imposing credulity upon others through dishonesty. A stone carver in a
dream represents someone who deals with people of ignorance. A copper
engraver represents disputes and illness. Gold and silver engraver in a dream
represents clear wisdom and putting things where they belong. An engraver in
a dream also represents a worldly person. If he also deals with fabrics in the
dream, it means that he is a peacemaker. Seeing him also means spending one’s
money to serve evil people or investing money in their projects, lies, falsehood
and hypocrisy. The customers in the dream represent people who prefer worldly
and temporary benefits over the eternal reward and benefits of the hereafter.
If the engraver sells the merchandise but does not accept money for them in the
dream, it means that he prefers his spiritual life over his temporary material
pleasure and that he is grateful to God Almighty. If he asks for a price for his
services, then it means the opposite. If the engraver barters what he sells for
wheat or flour in the dream, it means that he will become detached from worldly
interests, and that he is grateful for his Lord’s blessings. An engraver in a dream
also represents a person who teaches arts and science.

Limping
(Hitching; Jerking; Lameness) Limping in a dream means becoming
incapacitated, or being unable to conclude a project one is pursuing. Limping
in a dream also means acquiring knowledge, understanding one’s religion, or
growing in wisdom. Limping in a dream also means travels. If the limping is
caused by one’s right leg in the dream, it could mean that an illness will inflict
one’s son, If the limping has affected the left leg in the dream, it could mean that
one’s daughter will be engaged. If one has no children, or if he has no plans to
travel, then limping in a dream means a warning to set back, slow down and to
be careful about his next move. If one’s leg is dislocated in a dream, it means
that his wife may get sick. Limping in a dream also means longevity, knowledge
and religious understanding. Seeing a woman limping in a dream means
receiving something deficient. The same goes if a woman sees someone limping

(Knowledge; Town; Village) Entering a city in a dream means appeasement
of one’s fears. Imam Ibn Seerin use to prefer entering the city in a dream rather
than leaving it. A city in a dream also represents a learned person, a wise man
and a scholar. If one enters a city and finds it in ruins in his dream, it means
that the learned people of that city no longer live there. It is said that seeing a
city in a dream means the death of its ruler or an unjust governor from that
place. Seeing a city being built in a dream signifies the growing number of its
learned people and represents children who will continue the path of their
fathers. Seeing a city with no governor in a dream means rising prices. An
unknown city in a dream represents the hereafter, while a known city represents
the world. Seeing oneself in an unknown city in a dream is also a sign of
righteousness. The best of cities in a dream are the large ones. One’s home town
in a dream represents his father, while one’s homeland in a dream represents
his mother. Seeing oneself in a northern city in a dream mean increase of one’s
cash flow. Seeing oneself in a southern city means increase in one’s trickery and
deception. Seeing oneself in a low plateau in a dream means difficulties and
trouble, while seeing oneself in a high plateau means trustworthiness and
truthfulness. Seeing oneself in Egypt in a dream means longevity and a
comfortable living. Seeing oneself in a farmland in a dream means pursuing
innovation. Seeing oneself in a bower in a dream signifies the coming of a
prosperous year. Seeing oneself in Jerusalem or at the feet of Mount Sinai in a
dream also means prosperity. Seeing oneself in Bethlehem in a dream means
increased religious devotion. Seeing oneself in Damascus in a dream means
blessings, prosperity and wealth, or it could mean corruption. A cold city in a
dream represents adversities. Seeing oneself in a shore city in a dream means
winning people’s acceptance. Standing on a sulfuric soil or a salinized soil in a
dream means an illness. Seeing oneself in a large and populated city in a dream
means prosperity and wealth. Entering a city in a dream also means making
peace between people. Driving through an unknown section of a city in a dream
means losses. Entering an old city that is rebuilt and restored in a dream means
that a great and a pious person will be born in that city and he will grow to guide
its people on the path of righteousness. A city in a dream also signifies an oath,
meeting with one’s beloveds, peace, tranquility and safety. Meeting with God¬
fearing people in a dream means attaining one’s goals and receiving glad
tidings. Seeing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah in a dream means adversities,
earthquake, fear and corruption. Seeing a city in a dream also could mean
repentance from sin. A province in a dream represents its governor or renowned
scholars. Governing a city in a dream means rising to a suitable position, getting
married, recovering from an illness, repenting from sin, or receiving guidance
at the hand of a learned shaikh. Seeing a deceased person walking alive in a city
in a dream perhaps means that he is in paradise enjoying its blessings. Seeing
a deceased person in a village in a dream means that he might be in hell laboring
with its people. A city in a dream also represents the entertainment it provides
for its dwellers. The name of a city one sees in a dream should reflect some of
the meanings of one’s dream. (See Introduction). The industry of a city also has
a share in the dream interpretation. Known cities in the world in a dream
represent their rulers. Entering a city one already knows in a dream means that
one will not die until he enters it again, or it could mean that he will receive news
from that city. The walls of a city represent a strong ruler. A demolished wall
of a city in a dream signifies the death of its ruler or his removal from office. If
one sees a flourishing city with its urban construction, factories and farms, his
dream will reflect the spiritual awareness and religious devotion of its people.

(Leopard) In a dream, a tiger represents a tyrant, an unjust ruler, or an
avowed enemy. Killing a tiger in a dream means vanquishing such an enemy.
Eating the flesh of a tiger in a dream means money, profits and honor. Riding
on a tiger in a dream means power and sovereignty. A tiger inside one’s house
in a dream represents an insolent person who attacks one’s family. Seeing a
tiger or a leopard in one’s dream means receiving money from an insolent or an
artful person. A struggle with a tiger in a dream means fighting with an insolent
person. Tiger’s bite in a dream represents damage caused by such a person. A
tiger in a dream also represents either a man or a woman. It also represents
deceit, trickery, an illness, or eye irritation. Tigress milk in a dream represents

Fish
(Sea Life; Human being) In a dream, if their number is known, fish represent
women, but if their number is not known, then they represent money from a
doubtful source. If one sees a fish colony gathering at seabed, where he is fishing,
bringing them up and eating them raw as he pleases, or if he places them into
baskets and divides them into lots in the dream, it means that he will prosper
and invest his wealth in different ventures and savings plans. A whale in a
dream represents the minister of sea life, while the sea itself represents the king
or the country. A whale in a pond with his jaws opened in a dream represents
a prison. A large fish colony in a dream represents despised earnings, or earning
a large amount money one is accountable for its expenditure. Fishing in a well
means homosexuality, or it could represent someone who tries to tempt his
servant or his assistant to indulge in a loathsome act. If one sees himself fishing
in murky waters in a dream, it conveys evil, sorrows, or distress however it may
happen. If one sees himself fishing in clear waters in a dream, it means money
or hearing nice words or conceiving a son, while fishing in salty waters in a
dream means difficulties. If one sees himself fishing with a fishhook in a dream,
it means excitement, pleasure or losing benefits. A soft skin fish in a dream
means benefits for someone intending to trick or to swindle people’s money.
Mostly fishing with a pole and a fishhook in a dream means difficulties or slow
coming benefits, or a slow and loose business. Any large cyprinoid freshwater
fish or a barbel fish (cyprinus bynni; barbus ) in a dream denote positive benefits
for someone intending marriage or to enter into a business partnership. Seeing
a herring or any of its clupeid type fish in a dream represent evil work or toiling
for something one will never get. A fish in the pond in a dream is also a sign of
benefits, though may be little benefits. Seeing dead fish floating in the water in
a dream has an ominous connotation, or they could represent a hopeless case.
Taking fish from the water and eating them alivemeans profits, or an appointment
to a high raking position in wakefulness. In a dream, if a sick man or a traveller
finds fish in his bed it also connotes bad or a painful sickness or suffering from
arthritis, or he may drown because he would be sleeping with them. Seeing sea
fish covered with salt in a dream means lasting richness, because fish are
preserved in salt, or it could mean burdens. If one’s wife is pregnant and he sees
a fish coming out of his male organ in a dream, it means that his wife will beget
a son. If a fish comes out of his mouth, then it means speaking ill of a woman.
A fried fish in a dream means that one’s prayers will be answered. A broiled fish
in a dream means travels or seeking knowledge. A large fish in a dream means
money, while a small fish means difficulties, burdens and stress, because it
carries more spikes than meat, beside, small fish are more difficult to eat. Mixed
sized of different kinds offish in a dream represent money, trouble, liking social
events or mixing with all types of people, the good and the bad ones. Buying a
fish in a dream may mean marriage. Eating a rotten fish in a dream means
pursuing adultery and avoiding a lawful marriage. If one sees himself attempting
painstakingly to catch a whale in a small pond in a dream, it means money that
he will fight for, though he cannot get hold of it without having to cross major
obstacles. If one finds a pearl or two in the belly of a fish in a dream, it means
that he will marry a rich woman and conceives one or two sons with her. If he
finds a ring in the belly of the fish in a dream, it means that he will gain authority
and might. Finding fat in the belly of a fish in a dream means acquiring money
from a woman. Seeing oneself fishing on a dry land means committing adultery,
a sin, or it could mean hearing good news. Catching a fish with excessive bones
and scales denotes the necessity to pay one’s dues or to distribute alms tax on
one’s liquid assets, because one cannot enjoy his catch unless he first cleanse
it. Seeing sea fish swimming toward sweet waters, or river fish swimming
toward the sea in a dream means hypocrisy, falsehood or the rise of an innovator
or an impostor. If one sees fish swimming on the water surface in a dream, it
means ease in attaining his goals, exposing secrets, unveiling hidden past,
reviewing old books or redistributing an old inheritance. If one sees fish that
have the look ofhuman beings in a dream, it means business, trading or meeting
with an interpreter, or a translator, or associating with people of good character.
If such fish with a human face look beautiful, then one’s companions are good.
Otherwise, if the fish look ugly in the dream, then it means that he has
associated himself with evil companions. If one sees an aquarium in his house
filled with all types of catfish, or angelfish or similar fish that live in a home
aquarium in a dream, it means being charitable or taking care of orphans or
adopting children. If one sees himself reaching with his hand to the bottom of
the seabed to catch fish in a dream, it means that he will acquire extensive
knowledge in his profession and prosper from his trade. Otherwise, it could
mean that one will become a spy. If the sea opens and unveils its treasures, and
if one catches a goldfish from its belly in the dream, it means that God Almighty
will reveal new spiritual knowledge to him in order to help him understand his
religion and to receive guidance. If the goldfish leaves his hand and returns to
the sea in the dream, it means that he will join the company of righteous people
and saints from whom he will learn about the inner spiritual knowledge, or that
he will find a good companion for a journey he intends. If one eats a fish without
cleaning or cooking it in a dream, it means that he will speak ill of his own
friends, slander his associates, commit adultery, acquire money from trickery
and falsehood, or become inflicted with a dangerous disease or suffer from a
stroke. If one sees fish on the shore rather than in the water in a dream, it means
that he may change his profession. The different types of fish in a dream
represent human beings and their professions. A fish in a dream also could mean
that death will take place where it is found, because of the departure of its soul,
its stench, weight and one’s responsibility to bury the deceased. Eating a fish

Fishing net
In a dream, a fishing net represents trickery, deception, profits,
knowledge, realizing one’s hope, and victory over one’s enemies if one owns a
fishing net. If one sees himself entrapped inside a fishing net, it means that he
may be jailed or fall to sickness or marry a rebellious wife, or it could mean
money, or a child that will preoccupy him. A fishing net in a dream also
represents a harsh employer, hard working laborers, or an adversity they may
suffer. As for a clear minded fisherman who earns his livelihood from a fishing
net, seeing a fishing net in a dream represents trials, imprisonment, short
breath, or it could mean profits or good news. As for a traveller, seeing a fishing
net in his dream means his return home. A fishing net in a dream also means
increasing difficulties for a worried person. If one who has lost something sees
a fishing net in his dream, it means that he will find his lost object.

Turtle
In a dream, a turtle represents a woman who likes to adorn herself and to
make herself noticeable to please men. A turtle in a dream is also interpreted
as a man of knowledge, or a chiefjustice, because she is most knowledgeable and
God fearing amongst the sea creatures. In a dream, a turtle therefor could
represent a devout worshipper who reads the scrolls of God’s prophet Abraham,
upon whom be peace, or any of the holy scriptures. Seeing a pet turtle in a house
or a town in a dream means that the people of knowledge in that locality are well
respected. Seeing a turtle living in a dump, then it represents a knowledgeable
person living in the midst of ignorant people who care little about learning
anythingfrom him. Eating a turtle in a dream means profits, benefits, or money.
If one sees a turtle inside his house, or if he owns one in a dream, it means that
he will benefit from the company of a learned person who is acquainted with
ancient manuscripts, or in interpreting ancient scrolls. Ifone sees a turtle lying
on its back in a dream, it means that there is a man of knowledge in that town
people do not recognize. If one sees a well kept and fed turtle sitting on a brocade
in the dream, it means that the people of that town honor their scholars.
However, a turtle in a dream also can be interpreted as deception, trickery,
spying, hiding, evil and acquisition of weapons.
