(Capital punishment; Death; Decapitation) In a dream, beheading
means freedom from slavery or dispelling sorrows and dismay, payment of one’s
debts, or it could mean prospering. If one knows his assailant in the dream, it
means receiving wealth at his hand. If one is sick, it means that he will recover
from his illness, and if he is not sick, it means that he will attend a pilgrimage.
If the assailant is a young boy, then it means comfort, joy and relief from his
burdens through his own death. If a healthy person is beheaded in a dream, it
means the end of his comfort or loss of his job or authority. If one sees the
governor of the town beheading him in a dream, it means that God Almighty will
save him from his sorrows and strengthen him in this life. If one sees a ruler
beheading his subjects in a dream, it means that he will issue a decree of
amnesty for all prisoners. If one is beheaded as a result of a judgment or by
robbers in a dream, it means that either one of his parents or a child of his may
die shortly. If a condemned person on death row sees himself beheaded in a
dream, it means that he will be released from prison and his judgment will be
rectified. If an investor or a money exchanger sees that, then it means loss of
his capital investment. If a traveler is beheaded in a dream, it represents his

Horse

Son; Travels; Wife) Owning horses in a dream means prosperity, or victory over
one’s enemy. Riding a horse in a dream means dignity, honor and wealth.
Perhaps it could mean that one will befriend a noble person, or meet a good
companion on the road. Owning a mare in a dream means begetting a beautiful
son. If it is a nag or a workhorse in the dream, it means that he will live satisfied,
or that he may marry a rich and a noble woman who will bear his children.
Seeing a horse in a dream also may connote owning a good house. If it is a blond
horse in the dream, it means knowledge, devotion, piety and fear of wrongdoing.
A nag in a dream represents a wife or a husband. A saddled horse in a dream
means a woman in her menstrual period, during which time it is not permissible
for the husband to engage in marital intercourse with her. A gathering of horses
in a dream represents a gathering of women for a funeral or a wedding. Owning
a herd of horses, or taking care of their feed in a dream means presiding over
people, or it could mean managing a business. If a horse dies in one’s presence
in a dream, it means loss of his house or business. The fit of a horse in the dream
represent man’s own state. Descending from a horse in a dream means committing
a sin that will force one to resign from his position, or be dismissed from his work.
A hairy horse in a dream represents a large family. If the tail of one’s horse is
cut off at its end in a dream, it means that one may come to see the death of his
children and clan before his own eyes. If the tail of one’s horse is simply clipped
in the dream, it connotes his own death and that his name will be quickly
forgotten. If one is attacked by a horse in a dream, it means that a noble person,
or a young boy will stand to him and require a just retribution from him. A flying
horse with two wings in a dream means that one may be tried with affections
toward a perverted boy or a woman who will tempt him then follow him. If a
descendent of the family of God’s Prophet, upon whom be peace, sees himself
flying on a winged horse in a dream, it means that he will rise in station and
preside over people. If one sees horsemen coming through the skies in a dream,
it means that a war may take place in that land. Riding a horse and holding a
spear in one’s hand in a dream means forcing people to do something, or forcing
them to pay what they owe. If one sees his horse drowning in a dream, it means
that he may die from an illness. Buying a horse and tending the money to the
seller in the dream means profits in one’s business, or earning money from
teaching. Selling one’s horse in a dream means doing good and being grateful
for it. If one’s horse bites him in a dream, it means that he will lead an army
in a war. If one kills a horse in his dream, it means that he will be awarded
status, rank and money. Slaughtering a horse for other than food in a dream
means spoiling one’s livelihood. If one sees a horse whose owner is not known
entering a town in a dream, it means that a noble person will enter that town
and people of his trade will fear his competition or his becoming a danger to their
business. If such a horse reverts his course and leaves that town in the dream,
it means that a great, though unknown person from that locality will die shortly.
Horses running across the streets in a dream represent a destructive rain or
devastating floods. A feeble horse in a dream represents the weakness of his

Transformation
(Changing form) Transformation by substitution in a dream
where one thing is converted into something else. If a withered tree is trans¬
formed into a blossoming one in a dream, it means political changes, changes
in worldly conditions, or reversal of conditions from good to bad, or from bad to
good. This element includes the transformation of inner substances or physical
ones. For example, if sees himself as an old person in a dream, when in real life
he is young, it means progress in his spiritual life and gaining honor. If he is an
old person and sees himself as a young boy in a dream, it means indulging in
wrongdoing. If one sees a known old person regaining his youth, it means that
the material conditions of the person seeing the dream will turn around to one’s
advantage or otherwise, i.e., richness into poverty and vice-versa, or if he is sick,
he will recover from his illness. If one is transformed into a beautiful shoot of
green or a blossoming branch of a tree in a dream, it means that he may die
within a short time. Becoming taller in a dream means longevity, prosperity, or
begetting a son. If one finds himself missing partial mental keenness or physical
abilities or a limb in a dream, it means that he may suffer losses relating to his
worldly interests. If a man sees himself transformed into a woman, and wears
her apparels, ornaments and make-up in a dream, it means that he may suffer
humiliation, adversities and abuse. If a woman sees herself transformed into a
man, or if she grows a beard in a dream, it means that she will reestablish her
connection with a missing child. As a man in the dream, and if she is pregnant,
it means that she will beget a son who may die in his early youth, but if she is
not pregnant, it means that she is no longer fertile. If one sees himself flying with
wings in a dream, it means travels. If one sees himself transformed into a
wooden staff in a dream, it represents his insolence. If one sees himself
transformed into an iron rod in a dream, it means longevity. If one sees himself
transformed into a bridge in a dream, it means that he may become a ruler, a
wise man, or a man of knowledge whom people will seek to benefit from his
wisdom. If a person sees his sick child turn into a bird in a dream, it means the
death of the child. If one sees himself turned into a beast in a dream, it means
that he will be segregated from the believers to live alone because of his evil
qualities. If one sees himself turned into a deer, a gazelle or an antelope in a
dream, it means that he will become obsessed with his sexual life, or that he will
become mentally deranged to the degree of indulging in bisexual practices. If he
turns into a pig in a dream, it means prosperity surrounded with absence of
human dignity. If one sees a steer transformed into a wolf in a dream, it
represents a government employee who will turn unjust. However, according to
Islamic interpretations of the human transformation into a lower category of
creatures phenomena, if such transformation takes place in real life, it connotes
a curse and a punishment, and it does not last for more than three days, and

Pregnancy
(Childbearing; Planting) In a dream, a pregnancy indicates woman’s
success, diligence and assiduity in pursuing her goals. In a dream, pregnancy
also means receiving recognition, respect and prosperity. If a man sees himself
pregnant in a dream, it means that he suffers from heaviness in his life, or it
could represent one’s fear of exposing his problems in public. In general,
pregnancy in a dream represents material gains. If a woman sees herself
pregnant in a dream, it means difficulties and adversities beside some troubling
secrets she maybe hiding. However, for a learned man, pregnancy in a dream
may represent increase in his knowledge, while for a craftsman, it means
achieving unrivalled excellence in his trade. Pregnancy in a dream also means
being madly in love, or having passionate attachment to someone, or planting
seeds in the wrong place, or beingbisexual or a deviate, or suffering from dropsy,
or perhaps it could mean that a thief will enter his house to steal something, or
to hide a stollen object, or that one may steal something and hide it from its true
owner, or that he may get sick from eating spoiled food, or it could mean that
he may bury a dear person, or that he is affected and a liar, or he may hide his
real beliefs and show a better standing in public, or it may represent an accident
or a fire. As for a woman, her pregnancy in a dream means losing her virginity
before marriage, or that she will marry an unsuitable person. If a barren woman
sees her self pregnant in a dream, it means a bad harvest for that year, or it could
mean a robbery in her neighborhood. If an unmarried woman or a young virgin
sees herself pregnant in a dream, it means that she will find a compatible
husband. Pregnancy in a dream has many meanings. In a dream, woman’s
pregnancy means wealth, and man’s pregnancy means pain and sorrow. However,
generally speaking, pregnancy in a dream also could mean prosperity and
material success. The extent of wealth is measured by the number of months of
such pregnancy and the size of one’s growth in the dream. This is true whether
it is a man or a woman in the dream. If a young boy who is under the age of
puberty sees himself pregnant in a dream, it represents his father, and if a young
girl who is under the age of menstruation sees herself pregnant, then it
represents her mother. If a man sees his wife pregnant in a dream, it reflects
his desire for material success. If one sees his pregnant wife delivering a baby
boy in a dream, it means that she will give birth to a girl and the opposite maybe
true, except if it is common for the person in the dream to experience in
wakefulness what he sees in his dream. If one sees himself delivering a baby
from his mouth in a dream, it means his death, or it could mean that he will use
poised and pleasant words in a conversation with someone he is careful not to
offend. If a man gives birth to a baby boy in a dream, it means that he will carry
a heavy burden then escape from it, or it could mean that he will vanquish his
enemy, or it could mean that he may escape from a treacherous woman. If a
pregnant woman sees herself delivering a child in a dream though having not
had sexual intercourse with her husband, it means that she will discover a

Joseph
(God’s prophet Joseph, upon whom be peace; arb. Yusuf) Seeing God’s
prophet Joseph (uwbp) in a dream means attaining high rank or a vice-regency.
Seeing him (uwbp) in a dream also could denote a time of rising prices, drought,
loss of one’s family, or suffering from people’s stratagem, entering a prison, then
be released by God’s grace. It also denotes one’s luck with women and adversities
related to one’s beauty and good character. Seeing God’s prophet Joseph in a
dream also means acquiring knowledge about dream interpretation, or catching
one’s enemy, then forgiving him, or digging a river, a water irrigation, or
transporting dead people from one country to another. It also could represent
a great advent or a miracle by the fact that he (uwbp) had performed a miracle
by God’s leave and returned his father’s sight. Joseph’s shirt in a dream means
dispelling distress, sorrows and recovering from illness. If the shirt is spotted
withblood in the dream, then it means separation and imprisonment. Ifhis shirt
is torn from the back in the dream, it means a false accusation. If a woman sees
Joseph (uwbp) in a dream, it means that she will lose her comfort and sight. She
will also live unhappy because of her separation from her beloved, and she will
fall in love with a great man. If the woman who is actually suffering from such
adversity sees such a dream, it means that God Almighty will turn to her with
mercy and guide her to repentance. If she is unmarried, it means that she will
get married. If she is poor, it means that she will become rich, and her life in
this world as well as in the hereafter will turn to her advantage. Seeing Joseph
(uwbp) as a young boy in a dream means having little or no luck with one’s
brethren. He will be lied to, suffer from imprisonment and other trials before
he recuperates, to rise and triumph over them. They will all then become his
subject. One who sees God’s prophet Joseph (uwbp) in a dream will also be a
pious, generous, charitable, and shares his good advice with those who need it,
or ask for it. If Joseph (uwbp) talks to someone, or gives him something in a
dream, it means that one will understand dream interpretations and learn
about Chronicles, or the two biblical books of History. Seeing him (uwbp) in a
dream also means marriage to a beautiful woman who will truly love her

(Little boy) In a dream, a child carried in one’s arms means responsibility,
distress and difficulties. A teenage child represents glad tidings or dispelling
one’s worries. If one sees a beautiful looking teenage child entering a town or
descending from the skies or appearing from beneath the ground in a dream, it
means that the glad tidings will take effect shortly. Seeing a mature child in a
dream means power and superiority. If one sees himself as a child learning in
school in a dream, it means that he will repent of a common sin he is used to
commit. If one sees one of the renowned people of knowledge sitting in a
kindergarten and learning along with other children in a dream, it means that
he will shift to ignorance, lose his rank, or that financial changes will affect his
living conditions. If one sees himself receiving instructions like a child in a
dream, it means that he will receive an inheritance from his mother. If one sees
himself as a newborn child in a dream, it means that he will become wealthy
and prosper. If a young boy sees himself in a dream as a child, it has a negative
meaning. If a sick person sees himself as a child in a dream, it means his death.
If one sees himself as a child being reprimanded in a dream, it means that he
will be conquered. In a dream, if one looks in a mirror and sees his face to be
that of a child, and if his wife is pregnant, it means that she will beget a son who
will look like his father. Carrying a baby child in a dream means distress and
burdens. A child in a dream represents a weak enemy who sometime shows
friendliness and at other times demonstrates his enmity. If one sees that his wife
has just delivered children who are playing around him in a dream, it means
distress or misfortune and the consequences could be either good or bad.
Carrying a child in a dream means managing an inheritance or a financial
investment. If an elderly person sees himself roaming as a little child in a dream,
it means that he will commit an act of ignorance or lose his dignity, ideals or
sense of honor. On the other hand, if such an elderly person who sees himself
in a dream as a little child is suffering from depression or financial difficulties
or health problems, then it means relief from distress and good health and that
he will become free from his sins, like the day his mother gave birth to him. If
one sees that he has a little child who disdains from coming near his father in
the dream, it means financial promotion and enjoyment of one’s life. If one sees
a little child screaming in his lap in a dream, it means that he plays a string
instrument. Children in a dream also could mean either sorrow and pain or
happiness and joy. If they are one’s own children in the dream, then they mean
temptation with money. Children in a dream also could mean contentment with
little or loss of one’s means to earn his livelihood or they could mean money or
marriage or a flourishing business. Bereavement of a child in a dream means
the opposite in real life. It also means rejoicing, reunions, pleasures and earning
respect. Bereavement of a child in a dream is sometimes interpreted to portray
an intention of one’s children or wife to separate from the family. A little male
child in a dream represents worries, responsibilities, hard work, catering to
ignorant people or dealing with trivial and time wasting people. If a prisoner
sees himself carrying a little girl in his dream, it means that he will be released
from his prison. If one who is going through hard times sees himself holding a
little girl in a dream, it means that his adversities will be lifted. If he is poor,
it means that he will thrive for success and the little girl then represents his glad
tidings.

Beard
For a man, a beard in a dream signifies wealth, honor and dignity. If it is
moderately long or well trimmed in the dream, it means earning respect, rising
in rank, prosperity, beauty and sovereignty. If only the sides of one’s beard are
long and not the middle section in the dream, it means that one will work to save
money for someone else. If one’s beard is too long and lacks proper trimming in
a dream, it means indebtedness, distress and suffering from depression. If it
becomes long to the extent of reaching the floor in the dream, it means death.
If one’s beard grows long and thick in a dream, it means longevity or increase
in one’s wealth. If it reaches his belly in the dream, it means that he does not
obey God’s commands. If it grows longer than one’s grip in the dream, it means
that one lives from the interest he earns from usury. If the hair of one’s beard
is black in the dream, it means prosperity and satisfaction in one’s life. If its color
is greenish-black in the dream, it means extended wealth, power and rulership,
unless if one is a tyrant, for the color of Pharaoh’s beard was greenish-black. If
the color of one’s beard yields to yellow in the dream, it means poverty and
illness. If its color is blondish in the dream, it means a scare. If one grabs his
own beard in the dream and if its hair falls into his hand, and if he keeps holding
to the hair, it means incurring financial losses then recovering them, unless one
discards the hair in the dream. Pulling someone’s from his beard in the dream
means inheriting him. If one sees a young boy who has not reached the age of
puberty having a beard in a dream, it means the child’s death. If the child’s beard
is just starting to grow in the dream, it means that he will grow to lead and
command people. If one’s beard is shallow and if it makes him look fatuous in
a dream, it means payment of one’s debts or easing of his trouble or dispelling
of his distress. If one’s beard looks childish or completely immature in the
dream, it means losing people’s respect. If the color of one’s beard is gold in the
dream, it means that he will lose some respect and perhaps half of his wealth.
Seeing one-half of one’s beard shaved in a dream means poverty. If an unknown
young person shaves one’s beard in a dream, it means loss of dignity and injury
caused by one’s enemy or competitor or someone who carries the same name. If
an old man shaves his beard in a dream, it means that he will lose his good
reputation at the hand of a profiteer and an overpowering enemy. If one’s beard
is cut off in a dream, it means financial losses valued at how far it is trimmed.
Clipping what is longer than man’s grip of one’s beard in a dream means paying
the due alms tax. Cutting off someone’s beard in a dream means swindling his
inheritance. A white beard in a dream means honor, dignity and good fame. If
one’s beard turns gray, leaving few black hairs in the dream, it means earning
respect. If all its hair becomes gray in the dream, it means poverty and loss of
integrity. Seeing one’s wife having a beard in a dream means increase in one’s
wealth or growth of the son’s business, or sickness of one’s wife, or it could mean
that she will no longer be able to conceive children, though if she had a son, it
means that he will control the entire family. If a woman sees herself having a
beard in a dream, it means losing her husband and if she is a widow, it means
that she will marry a hard-working man who is compatible with her. If a
pregnant woman sees that in a dream, it means that she will beget a son, and
if she has a quarrel with someone, it means that she will win the battle and stand
for herself with dignity and courage. Plucking one’s facial hair or beard in a
dream means wasting money. If one’s beard and head is shaved in a dream, it
means recovering from an illness, satisfying one’s debts or dispelling sorrow and
distress. Having an extraordinarily long beard that one can spin and weave as
a cloth, then sells it in his dream means that he will forge a testimony. Clipping
one’s beard in a dream also means losing money. One’s beard in a dream also
represents his job, business, clothing, gains and losses. Cutting off the hair of
one’s beard with one’s own teeth in a dream means sufferings, distress and
trouble. Swearing by the honor of one’s beard in a dream may denote either one’s
truthfulness or lies, his stinginess or generosity. One’s beard in a dream also
could represent his wife. If a farmer finds the hair of his beard black in a dream,
it means that he should start harvesting his crop. A white beard could denote
illness or frailty. If one’s beard in wakefulness is gray and he sees its color black
in a dream, it means strength, determination, firmness, certainty, having great
energy and exuberance. If one’s beard in his dream seems longer than the usual,
it means being a spendthrift, wasting money, engaging in gambling and
sportinggames, or suffering from depression, or beingtroubled by circumstances.
If a subversive and a sinful person sees himself having a beard in a dream, it
means that he will repent of his sins. If a misguided person sees himself having
a beard in his dream, it means that he will receive guidance. If a woman grows
a beard in her dream, it means that she is trying to be a man, or it could mean
insolence or engaging in wrongdoing. If a child sees himself having a beard in
a dream, it means longevity. Loving a beard and kissing it in a dream means
lacking determination or will, regardless if it is his own beard or if it is someone
else’s beard. If a straw or anything sticks to one’s beard in a dream, it means
hearing bad words. Shaving half of one’s beard in a dream means losing one’s
source of income or loss of one’s dignity. Holding the beard of one’s uncle in a
dream means unjustly inheriting him. If a woman sees herself having a beard
like a man in a dream, it means that she will never beget children, unless if she
has a reddish beard as the natural color of her hair. However, for a man, to have
a reddish beard in a dream means trials and temptation and particularly if some
